I've tried FileZilla but ikt times out. Is it my connection or what? I can see other site and even when Hotmail is loading the full version-It doesn't on a slow connection- I still get connection timed out. Could it be my firewall? What does it say if ports 2077 and 2078 are not open? I'm using WIN2003. How do I open the ports?

hey guys I cant see any thing. Is everyone seeing the images. All I'm getting is "the image has been deleted or moved" but since pple are saying they are very beautiful I bliv u have a talent. Can u please do a favour for a stranger? Design a medium sized image with a "K" in a circle to be used for a logo. DOnt forget to make it glassy coz I think it's the in thing nowadays.

It still is not as fast as the fox. In simple English it still sucks! The only things that I dont like about FIrefox 3b5 is that I can't install FireFTP on it and the hunger for resourses.

Most pple will trell you about the posibilities opened by having 4 dimensions but will not explain just what this thing is. In mathematic our teacher told us that when we try to solve an equation and we find the answer has square roots of negative numbers it means the roots are the additional dimention. So if u plot the graph for y=x(1+x2) you will only see the other point where it touches the y-axis if you look at it in 4D-but how can u do that. Is it by coinsidence that everytime I visit the forums AVG tells me of idkfa[1] and sometimes Vundo? Today I never met these things for the 9hrs I've been on the machine but as soon as I went online pop "threat detected". The file is found in a folder under Temporary internet files\content.IE5\...\idkfa{1} the funny thing about it is that if u dont type in the path in the address bar u wont see any folder, even the Temporary Internet Files. Does anone know how to get rid of this thing?

Could this have anything to do with my failure to access the cPanel of my site, http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/? I have been trying to upload files onto my site but both FTP commander and FileZilla were failing to connect. FileZilla was saying connection timed out after successfuly establishing a connection.

I downloaded and installed Filezilla but when I try to connect the connection is timing out. I used ftp.kudmus.trap17.com for host: 2082 and all I keep getting is: Has anyone ever met this problem? jlhaslip did u know that FireFTP does not work with Firefox 3 beta5? I use firefox but I was so disapointed when I found I had to switch to theslower Firefox 2 to use my FTP client. Thanx anyway.

I saw my friend using a handy FTP manager to upload stuff stuff onto his site. I wanna know if I can do that with my Xisto site. Can I download any FTP manager from anywhere and use it here? If so which one would you guys recommend? What is everyone using? I believe you guys are not uploading files one by one with the file manager.

I found a way to replace the files right in the installation CD. Most of the files are found in the System32 folder and are compressed. U need a tool like Camtech Makecab 4win to compress your desired files before renaming them to the names in the installation. Replace the ones in the installation by these ones and u have a customized XP CD. Pliz make sure u know the files u are replacing. U may end up messing up things. I advise you to first decompress the fles you want to replace and sample it before doing something stupid.

In an internal memo Microsoft detailed how it plans to tie Win7 and Windows Live. It seems these guys never learn. They don't don't get tired of monopolizing everything. I think saint michael is right this is just a mega collection of hotfixes. I just downloaded SP3 rc1 because I'm the curious type. I slaped it in my XP installation(no sp) tried to intergrate remote desktop as a hot fix but I the resulting CD still had no working Remote desktop. I want to make a customised, bootable XP CD(using nLite) with all the updates that I need but I don't know how to get them. I thought of using windows update to download all the updates avalable, copy the files to another location and add them as hotfixes to the installation but the problem is I dont know how to get those that have already been downloaded and installed. Does anyone know were to get all of them at one go? Doesanyone know where to find a working WM10 slipstreamer?

I am one guy who has always beleaved that when MS made XPsp2 they raised the standards for them selves. the package was just too good for their own good. When Sp3 came out I didnt hesitate to download it and what did I get? The first thing that i noticed was I could no longer use remote desktop. i'm sure this has since been rectified in RC2 but it realy turned me off. I never realised any gains in the SP. U must be using a very powrful machine then Would you encourage me to to use that on a P3 with 512 of RAM?That's something that i've always dreaded. I'd rather change them everyday to remove what the the other is missing that run them concurrently. i don't know why i'm such a coward but I have always dreaded the notion.

I'd second that I have seen that there is no AV that can get rid of all trojans but I realy think kaspersky is one package worth counting on. What i don't know is what kind of a connection do I need for an online scan. Are they not bandwith hungry?I have a server that was running Symantec but my ISP started blocking my access saying " my access is being denied because of a suspected virus on my machine" I've formated my client machines and now I am almost 100% sure it's the sever. I removed Symantec but I think I jumped from the frying pan into the fire. The AV spends 90% of the time saying "On Access Scan Disabled" It's disabled as soon as I enable it. As u can see i also need help in this area.

I'm not muc of a security guy. I'm not a guy who knows how to test AVs but if I was the one compiling the list Kaspersky would sit on top of the list UNRIVALLED. I have more that a dozen PCs on a LAN, with different AVs and my experience has taught me that: McAfee can be easily disabled by malware. I see the red sign(On access scan disabled) more than 7 times a day and God knows how many viruses will be hitting me when I'm in that state. Symatec doesn't have most of the definitions u'll b expecting. I remember when I was hit by Kibaki(kebtos), symantec could not detect anything and their site had nothing on the little devil. I had YahLover on all my removables but I could only see it on machines running McAfee, despite updating symantec everyday(this I think does not work coz I believe they only update once a week). AVG is good but does not detect some of the things Kaspersky detects. I had probles with AVG 8's firewall. I could not access network folders or Remote Desktop my computer with the AVG firewall on. Of cause I believe there is a way to get around the problem but the fact that it's not obvious turns me off. I have since reverted to AVG 7.5 I'm not the perfect gy to listen to coz I havent tried the other packages but I just thought i should share what I have experienced.

Hi. I wanna know if there is a way of accessing an MS-Access database so that my site can extract data from it and make it avilable online. I own a business and i want my clients to view their account info online. is it possible to do it with PHP whn u have a constantly changing MDB database. If I cant use PHP how do I do it so that what my accountig software is saving in the MDB database can be available online

This is quite an interesting topic. It brings me to my current passion for the last 48 hours: Customising the windows instalation. I have used nLite to do some tricks with my XP CD. I've added service pack 3 and some hotfixes. Now I want to know how to replace the files on the CD so that my installation doesnt come with Mark Seals and all those default sounds and graphics. I want to replace the sounds that XP places in the C:\windows\media\ directory. I have downloaded a couple of wavs here that I'd love to throw in there.

I am a newbie who is yet to set up a site. I want to know if this will work with my Xisto site and if anyone can point me to idiot tutorials on getting started. Can anyone show me a Xisto site that they created using these tools. Is it possible to intergrate an MDB database with such a site? I have a program that uses an mdb database but I want the info in the database to be available on my site when i set it up.
