Has anyone ever tried to install a template and was given the following error? I got the same error while trying to install a template that I was successfully installing on my localhost version of the site. Note: The site is hosted by Byethost not Xisto.

Guy can you believe this guy? He wrote a blog speculating that google was about to use their old algorithms. In a blog titled "Google to go back in time" he says: He avoided people questioning him y including that "warning..." Do you really think this guy has enough facts to make us believe him? What so special about the old algorithms anyway?

I never thought of that question. Maybe it's because I've never pictured myself leaving Xisto unless if my banned IP is not unbanned soon enough. I have no problem with Xisto at all.

There is no need to check if I'm IP banned. I know I am. I sent the support ticket and now it's been 3 weeks and no responce. What am I supposed to do. Does live support take credits. I don't want to waste more credits than I have already given away trying to reset a password that I never got to use.

I'm surprised by people who like injections. I don't like them and I rarely have them. Would you believe if I tell u that I'm 25 years 3 weeks old but I've never been attended to by a doctor. I've been to a hospital yes but not with anything serious. I can't brag about it because it's not of my making but I just thought it's something worth sharing.

I dont think we will be serious to compare a very powerful suite like Dreamweaver with frontpage. Frontpage simply can't fall in that category. I only used Frontpage before I was a beginner. When I began I started using notepad and then Dreamweaver. Frontpage will limit a developer. Someone told me Frontpage is the best if you want to design .asp based sites but I don't know about that.All I know is that a Microsoft tool is always the wrong tool for any job.

Why is everthing failing to work with my site? I just lost 10 credits for nothing trying to reset my password. Now I'm 10 credits down and still locked out of my cPanel.

You have been of great help pal. Thank you very much. Although I did not succeed I learnt a lot . Now I formated the drive and I'm going to start afresh. I also did that and found the same result. Before formatting my drive I had another problem with transferring the site from one machine to the other I kept getting errors even after importing the whole database. the error massages had full file paths of the original locations of the files on the first machine. It was still loking for things in D:\xampp\...\fileName.php even though the site was now on drive C:\ How do I go about transferring my site in a way that will make me stay away from errors?

Thank for your help but I didn't try it. I had already replaced one of the Hard drives and formatted it when I saw your post. I was surprised when I noticed I had not tryied the first thing I was supposed to try. Sounds so dumb doesn't it? The rig has 2x350MHz PIIs and 4x256MB memory. Although it wasn't very powerful I just thought it was gonna be more powerful than the ordinary pc that I'm using as a server now. It has AMD Duron 1GHz and 2x512DDR. What do u think?

I found Joomla easier than this thing. To begin with I failed to change the site name. Everything is hidden and very hard for a beginner to customize. I must say most sites made in PHP-fusion are simple and very beautiful.

I also would suggest Tizag.com It's the one I'm using now and I think I'm making progress. The tutorials are understandable and somehow straight forward.

How do I do that? I have tried typing mysql in command prompt but it does not know what the ... that is. I have tried accessing it through the XAMPP button that says Admin. First of all I was denied access and secondly I got an error that says: The error massage keeps appearing every few seconds.

I think I'll have to try it out but I have always believed a Microsoft tool is always the wrong tool for any job. The only things that I like from Microsoft are Office and XP SP3.I'm not sure but I think I'll just dump it in a week and go back to the good old Dreamweaver which I rarely use now because of it's limitations in PHP.

Thank for the reply. I tried to follow your instructions strictly but all I get now is : I had overwriten the original config.inc.php and now I don't know how to reverse this. until I get a solution to this, I may not be able to work.

I was designing my Joomla powered site on a laptop and the XAMPP folder was on drive D. I zipped this folder and stored it somewhere before unistalling XAMPP and deleting everything. I installed Joomla on another machine but this time XAMPP is in C:\ . After replacing the contents of the \htdocs\ with the saved ones I can't access any page. All I'm getting now is: Even after importing the database I still can't see a thing. How do I do it so that I don't get these errors?If there is no way to correct this just tell me how I should do it next time and I'll start afresh.

I have a primitive Dell POwerEdge2300 that i got from a friend. I remember when he he gave it to me 5 months ago we ran Windows Server 2003 but when I switched it on yesterday it could not find any boot device. After playing around with the hardrives it finally booted with Win2K which I had not seen when we ran it the first time.The problem is when I am in BIOS I see both drives but when I boot into windows only C:\ appears in Windows Explorer. I can see both drives in the device manager and they are said to be working fine how do I access the other drive which I believe was the one with Win2K3?

I have been designing my site on my desktop using XAMPP. Everything was ok until I thought I needed a pasword for my database which did not have a password. From the day I applied the password I have been unable to access my phpMyAdmin I type LOCALHOST/phpmyadmin/ and all I get is: "Who said use no password?" I wonder. I have tried to clear private data in the Firefox but I ended up thinking it was not necessary because even IE which I had never used for phpMyAdmin was saying the same thing.Of cause I could start afress and get things back the way they used to be but I won't have learnt anything. Help me so that I'll know what makes these things tick

I'm also a fan of portables. I use them when I don't want to burden my slow PC with gunkware. I have been downloading apps from that site too but I have not seen how you make a start menu for your flash stick. I have VLC Portable on my rig and the only problem I have seen is it takes forever to open the playlist that I have put on start up. I used to think iTunes was the slowest but it's way better than this thing. Everything else was good. Surprisingly the player was not as resource hungry as I thought.

It's so surprising that there are still people out there who think life is that easy.Being a Zimbabwean earning US$24.00 per month(I'm not kidding) I would have made a dozen of sites to do what this guy wants to do. I did not do that because I know you have to work to get money. An able man should not ask for handouts like that where is his dignity? I know of people who ask for Educational Grants, Medical Assistance, etc, but not money to buy gas and food.
