Today, I have managed to screw some 10 hosting accounts. It was my mistake by running the script while we're in the transition from Process v1.0 to Manage v2.0 Hosting Account System. Your site is suspended because you have reached the monthly bandwidth limit. By upgrading this still hasn't lifted the suspension mode your hosting is currently facing.We have only choices which are: 1) to wait until the next month for your website to function or 2) I can override your current suspension.Normally, we wait until the next month because your hosting agreement with Xisto is clearly spelled out in our TOS and AUP (refer to Xisto Readme). But, since it's the holidays I will manually uplift your suspension. This does not mean I am going soft Merry Christmas.PS look into paid hosting account. Your last month's bandwidth exceeded even the hosting plan 2. I will temporarily make your site to live and then adjust to make the correction. But even with your upgrade you will exceed the bandwidth limit. 1) either double check your script so that you do not exceed 2) FTP and uploads COUNT as part of your bandwidth so limit unnecessary large file uploads and downloads 3) set your bot filter or optimize your large files such as pictures and files.

If you are receiving that high traffic volume to your website, perhaps you should first consider upgrading to hosting plan #2 don't you think? It's odd to me that you rely on only 500mb of bandwidth...When your site is temporally suspended such as with bandwidth exceeded your redirect service will not work (because your site is suspended)... it's as simple as that.Please stick to the topic on hand.Thank you.

I have corrected your situation. When a domain is added to your existing web hosting account it seems like WHM does not translate the proper migration.Opaque will be notified of this issue.You should not have any trouble creating email accounts.

How can we be of certain? Is there a way to test this in the eyes of spam bot? Spam bots are getting better where they are able to read JAVA scripts in action. jlhaslip and I were in the middle of something similar to your quick and awesome email replacement using dynamic image--where your email address will show as jpg but to use it, the code would be very similar to yours. If spam bots truly cannot see the converted email address, you're sitting on a goldmine here delivi! Another thought: what about home based pc spammers? They use auto surf and programs to click all URLs on a site to collect email addresses. This won't be protected from these manual email collectors since a browser translates into a real email address...?

Yes, yes and more yes.When you change your domain name that was "tied" to Xisto hosting, all other add-on domains will have ill effects. Your files will not be deleted but the binding will not recognize add-on domains by your changed domain name.So for this reason, please perform the following to ensure proper web setting. Always create a full backup before performing any hosting modification action.1) unAdd-on all add-on domains wildcatexotics.com and petsxpress.info2) change your "tied" domain name to your new domain3) Add-on remaining domain(s) -- in this case just petsxpress.infoNotes of abnormalities: when you unAdd-on a domain, the folder created by initial Add-on will still remain. When you Add-on a domain name you will be asked to name the folder you wish to associate. While it is possible that you can use the same folder left by the previous unAdd, be prepare to delete the existing folder and create a new one. This is where your backup comes in handy. If you have to create a new folder you can simply upload files for this Add-on domain and you should be all set.

I've dealt with few laptops were behaving similar to your situation. If all possible solution fails try this: disable your anti-virus and see if your connection mysteriously drops.With models from Dell with free anti-virus this solution did the trick. Once users of certain Dell models switched to another anti-virus product they reported that internet connection stayed constant.I don't know why it would do such a thing but before you can rule it out as a hardware issue try this. Carson,I think there might be some issues with your hosting account, especially if you think you're missing some files form your hosting account.The only sure way to rectify this situation is to restart with your hosting from the beginning. This involves terminating your current hosting account and requesting for another one.I'll be in touch.

Are you asking admins because you'll continue to be Xisto hosting member?The only way to achieve is to do it in stages.Stage 1 = continue to have Xisto subdomain. Add-on new domain to your hosting. Copy or duplicate identical website to add-on domain's folder (add-on domain will create a folder name of your choosing). While running a full acting website under your new domain, advertise "move notice" on your subdomain while subdomain still being active.Stage 2 = after you are satisfied that your subdomain is ready to be "terminated" you go ahead with domain name change. It is critical that you backup your add-on domain before you do the next. 1) you have backed up all your active web files 2) unAdd-on domain 3) using Process page you change your domain name to your new domain 4) upload all backed up web files.This ensures that you're not losing any traffic to your subdomain and build awareness to your new domain. Do the transition while traffic is very low or alert visitors of "Server Maintenance" before you migrate. Let me know if you are confused with this plan.

Trying to develop an IRC prototype and running IRC service are two different things. You may use Xisto hosting as developing ground for your scripts, in hopes that you don't abuse Xisto servers You can use Xisto hosting to develop even IRC client but what you should refrain is advertising/making widely available you're developing, which leads to visitors using your developing page to chat. Ah... I should have known to trust my instinct... 1) does the domain name belong to you, purchased by you? Xisto only provides free sub-domain name. You can qualify for free domain name once you become a hosting member and hosting credits at least 280. 2) I can see your default index page http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ so the reason you may not be able to see your domain is that the domain name does not belong to you. 3) if you have Internet Explorer you must click on YES to Alert Message allowing you to view login page. Using Firefox you'll notice immediate login pop-up window. If you have a pop-up blocker or firewall preventing any secure login script you will not be able to use cpanel.

To access your cpanel, it's just http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Do not use https Do not use port number and cpanel, i.e. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ -- this port number is opened to cpanel so you're requesting two-same service, which leads to a blank page. The suggested method of accessing your cpanel, which is stated in Xisto Readme (refer to my signature) is: your_domain_name.ext/cpanel DNS will automatically resolve alpha-characters into IP address. I can see that your Group has changed to [HOSTED] this also confirms that you are hosted correctly by Xisto. Thank you.

PDF provides its own postscript emulator that can pretty much print exactly what's on PDF to any printer--the real beauty in why PDF is awesome. So how do you get your documents and photos as PDF? Well, for the longest time my IT teams and I have been using PDF print driver called BullZip. BullZip allows you to output any printing to PDF on the fly. Yes, on the fly. So with your usual Files > Print > select printer, you would choose BullZip instead. And viola~ instant PDF of anything you want to print. Any lighter than Outlook would have to be Outlook Express.I'm wondering why not just use Google Apps (email, calendar, docs etc) with your domain? Or do you have a domain name? I suppose if you want to carry your PIM with you like in a PDA then I Outlook is the best. I have used all other so called free programs for PDA but all of them were crap. Outlook is by far the best PIM for your PDA. If you're using PIM for your laptop what's one little program like Outlook?

The trouble with sharing internet connection is that the host (your desktop pc) must be on when you want to surf the internet using your client (laptop).I think the easiest solution is to go get a wireless router (price have fallen so that you can pick one up for about $50) and let the router do all the work. You'll be up and running both computers to the internet in no time.

How about installing a firewall with password protection?ZoneAlarm, I believe because I'm using the corporate version called Integrity Client by TrueVector are the same, has password lock so that you can disable the entire net traffic until the password is entered.ZoneAlarm will be installed in all profiles in your computer. And only the right password for ZoneAlarm will allow you to enable the locked internet connection. It's a thought...

Hacking in generally used term is performing an action that is out of device's ordinary or original intent. When I say device I am referring to all that are meant to function in any means by programming.Bot is considered a hacking tool. Otherwise it won't be called a bot, that is unless you're referring to a batch action. Two are different. Bot is a hacking tool since the installment of this bot is to create a behavior that was not originally intended for a locale. Hence, it's doing something out of the ordinary other than the original programming. If you are trying to defend your website against other hackers, you are trying to build a firewall--which Xisto hosting provides without any additional means from hosted members. A defending "bot" would obtain hacker's information and inject something in return as a favor. But what you are attempting to do is just to log hacking attempts this is not called a bot but a mere well written log script.So define what you're trying to achieve and we can then discuss if it's against TOS and AUP

I wish it was as simple as ipconfig to renew IP address. But when an ISP PPPoE based software is installed it inserts proprietary registry values that get left behind. So when ipconfig is even used, the registry at turned off state you cannot perform such function. Hence "IP Cannot be Renewed" or "RPC service cannot be loaded" error messages.Here is the uploaded Winsockfix for XP. This custom made software resets IP registries to the original state. Use only if you have exhausted all possible solution. Modifying your registry can lead to operating system corruption and you should always practice to backup your registry before performing any action.Verizon connection software, at least, takes over the control of PRC, IP, DNS and DHCP function in Windows.
