Deleted htaccess files and your site is working just fine.Your index page is written so that it shows "Server problem. Back up A.S.A.P." What are you trying to do? People can't view them even if your site is working...I don't understand your situation...

Whether you are hosting plan 1 or hosting plan 2, the days of hosting credits are the same. The real factor is how long you have been a member:As you gain member level, the hosting credits awarded for your post decreases. This is not to say that you earn less hosting credits per "words" but to encourage veteran forum members to contribute with quality posts. If you start with hosting plan 1 and upgrade to hosting plan 2, you actually waste extra 10 hosting credits--10 for plan 1 and 30 to upgrade to plan 2.

I am closing this topic on an account that the question was answered and there's no need for other words.anwiii, whether you respect my moderators or not it is not up to you to be in contempt with our forum rules. You will not state with tones that disregards other's words or in extreme case intent as flaming.

teknoTom,Your main account is working since I can see your whole directory. But when I click on "cherishdragon"(?) the suspended page appears. This is unusual. Double check that directory's index page and see what you come up with.

FFMpeg is not installed nor will be installed since it will require command access for your hosting. This is not available for Free Web Hosting, No Ads accounts. It is, however, available for Xisto - Web Hosting accounts but as you said it is a paid hosting account. Therefore, you should modify your strategy to fit your testing needs.Have you considered making your own server with unix/linux OS? We have various tutorials that demonstrates running your own PC webhosting service.

To be shown on your site, everything must be installed under public_html folder. www folder is the short cut to public_html folder. When we, or an instruction, talk about create a folder or upload to your directory it is referred to public_html folder using Unix system (that's what our hosting is based on).Upload all your files to a folder called "forum" or whatever (i.e. public_html/forum) and follow the SMF installation instruction. It's usually yourURL/folder/install.php and the next screen will prompt you to change additional settings to make your SMF installation perfect.Read carefully and multiple times so that you understand the installation process. I understand your frustration but there's no need to shout in our forum for a help, when your topic title does not state your problem clearly. Furthermore, stating what you have done and tried might help your situation better since some replies to your topic request for clarification. If you are still having the same or similar problem, you can request me or other members to install SMF on your behalf.Okay?

You will note that it is described with "command line tool" which is not available as a web hosting service. This Open Source code seems to be installed in your localhost machine and not in remote web hosting machine.

You know, this is a pretty good topic.I do not know right now how to emulate slower speed. However, you can manually calculate the total speed per page.Text loading is about the same it's either a broadband or a dialup. After that you can add seconds to load every graphic residing in a page. Adobe Photoshop can calculate how long it *may* take to load a graphic, when you go to SAVE AS > Compression rate, and it will show how long to load per downloading speed (option information at the bottom of SAVE AS dialog window). Calculate for each graphic to load (in seconds) and find the tally. Obviously, you can select the loading graphics, in seconds, using the 56k dialup option. If anyone can emulate or come across download speed calculation per internet connection speed, please post it here. Otherwise, it might be something for Annex Script page and coders to come-up with something. Sounds like a next new project, jlhaslip

Home Network Connection Speed Is Very Slow
BuffaloHelp replied to deepod's topic in Computer Networks
Hummm, so it could be that Belkin networking system may be at fault? To test out, in any case, is to have a control system. And compare the control system to the testing system.Control system:Connect a computer to ADSL modem, bypassing any router. This will determine if the control system is delivering the "promised" bandwidth speed. Go to any speed test or bandwidth test sites and measure your speed. If at this point the speed fails to provide the "promised" bandwidth from your ISP, i.e. Virgin, then the problem is with your ISP.Testing system:Once you confirm that connecting directly to ADSL does not affect your bandwidth speed, connect ADSL to your Belkin router. Connect only ONE computer to this router using the network cable (not wireless). Repeat the speed test from the same site you visited with the control system. Note the difference. If it's not by much, at least you know that the Router is not the issue. And then test out the wireless connection by visiting the same speed test site. You can determine which is the single point of a failure, if not, multiple failures. -
At this point, running any kind of IRC service using Xisto hosting is not allowed.Thank you.

Stating which versions of Windows XP and Vista would have been nice... otherwise I'm going to guess your problem instead of troubleshooting it.I'm going to assume you have HOME edition for both. Vista is bit complex when it comes to sharing. The one key for XP is that you must share at least one folder for non-XP operating system to allow sharing of files.Vista offers default sharing folder called "PUBLIC." This is similar to "Shared Documents" on XP. Make sure that XP is sharing at least one folder, i.e. Shared Documents, and do the same with Vista. Enable your sharing rights under Vista and see at least you have the chance to view networks around both computers. To share printers, you must designate the printer to be shared by going to network connections > share files and printer. Enable your printer to be shared by going to Printers and Faxes and designate which printer (profile) to be shared. At some incidences you may have to install network printer driver on your Vista machine (again, assuming XP machine is spooling for shared printer job).

Liam, Before you reset your password, send me (PM) your login info so that I may give it a go. This will tell me if the authentication error is at your end or at the server's end.*You are not obligated to send me your information. I am merely asking to see if I can log in to test out what's the real problem.

Add-on and Parked domains are only limited to 9 at this time.

Short answer: yes :PPHP is another language that is to compliment HTML markups. HTML can call PHP page and vice versa. But once in PHP page, please follow PHP language instruction (PHP coding). We have tutorials on PHP+SQL login script in our Tutorial section. Or someone can come up with customized script just for your need. You can request in our Programming section.

Are you referring to using another hosting's SQL? For example, Hosting site B is using hosting site A's SQL?This is called remote connecting to database and if the hosting company allows remote connection to database, then yes. But majority of hosting companies do not offer because of the security reasons. With Xisto hosting you are able to use Xisto hosting as a remote database but it's at your risk. Please refer to our hosting member area for more information.

Tos Queries Some questions about the Trap17 Terms of Service.
BuffaloHelp replied to MiniK's topic in Web Hosting Support
Running image uploading services are alright. Bandwidth usage and space usage is capped by your monthly allowances. -
Which script are you using that the time is off? If you wrote the script you can apply universal time zone by using php or other programming language you used, to synchronize with your time zone.If you are using one of popular scripts, i.e. Zoomla or forums script, you can enter the admin settings area and change the time by offsetting with -5 or -GMT your location time.

Computer Screw Wont Come Out =( Help me get this screw out please
BuffaloHelp replied to FLaKes's topic in Hardware Workshop
Is this screw used for holding down the motherboard? Is this screw used for holding down the CPU fan... or something as the case screw? I wish your original post would have been more descriptive.Sears, if you are a US resident, or any other hardware store sells drill bits knowns as extractor or damaged screw remover. I purchased mine for about $10. There's no fancy need for higher priced ones as $50.The trick is to use this bit to bite down on the head of damaged screw, and turn counterclock wise. You have to apply push force otherwise the bit will not bite down to the head. This is where some detailed information comes handy. Can you apply such force to the screw? Is it in the sensitive area where a damaged thread could mean damage to something else? Is the screw you're trying to extract big enough for these extractors (they don't come super small)? -
Trap17 dot NET is no longer operation. Instead, OpaQue launched Qupis.com for better free web hosting option which includes bigger space, higher bandwidth, and cpanel. Yes, free web hosting instantly created with cpanel support!A single ad line, which appears at the bottom of every page, is advertising Xisto - Web Hosting and other related members of Xisto. But I'm digressing from this topic...

This your hosting issue resolved? I am able to see your forum page made by Bluethurst. In many cases, database cannot be reached by a script due to lack of permission grant or incorrect username and password for the database being called. Remember that your database name will always start with a prefix of your cpanel username, followed by _ , and the name you assigned for this database. Create a user (username) and grant the proper permission. You are now ready to use this database for your script needs.

You are entitled to unlimited installation providing that you can prove to them you have the genuine Windows proof of purchase, a valid serial key, and in a single machine that is the same as the first installation. This criteria will be explained by Microsoft support line when you call them. The basic procedure is that they will ask you few questions and you provide them with proofs they need. Once satisfied, they will guide you through manually entering some obscene digits to unlock your activation process (mine was 24 digits long, alphanumeric). This code is only to be used once and the next time you need to reinstall Windows XP, you must repeat the whole process of providing the proof they require.Microsoft, by law, cannot discontinue a valid serial key unless they explain why they discontinued it--for example, it's invalid due to cracked or illegally obtained key. The only other way to discontinue a valid serial key is to discontinue the OS itself. Windows XP, both Home and Professional editions, is still fully supported by Microsoft. Ask them to give you a comprehensive reason why your key is invalid, even though you have proofs they need, in a registered first class mail. If you really do receive this letter you now have a legitimate reason to hire a lawyer and demand your satisfaction from Microsoft in a court of law
