  1. I couldn't say for sure myself. On my hosting account I have many choices of CMS available in Fantastico. I ran into the same problem trying to to decide which one to use. Finally, I thought that software like Drupal. phpNuke, Geeklog, Xoops and the like are great for company websites, but I doubt I would need that much for a personal website. I did visit the website and it seems like it's a very dependable CMS. If you haven't experienced any problems using it so far, then by all means continue using it.
  2. I'll put in a vote for #4 as well. It really looks sharp! Keep up the great work!
  3. Actually, I meant to say upgrade.php. I couldn't remember the name exactly. Oh well. Doesn't matter now. I found it and ran the file from the cpanel file manager - now it's up and running! The next step - customize it (create my own theme/style).Thanks for all your help!
  4. I certainly know how you feel. Up until three years ago, I've been using dial-up, and believe me it was slow...having to wait forever to download a song.
  5. Thanks for the tip. I still have one more step to go. I've followed the step-by-step instructions so far on the WordPress website (and on the codex WP tutorial site). The last step is to run wp_config.php in order to get everything up and running. Where can I find it in the phpMyAdmin section?
  6. Hey all! Is there a way I can upgrade WordPress 1.2 to 1.5 using the cpanel functions? Any suggestions are most welcome. Thanks in advance!
  7. Although Xisto has quite a few good forums out there, I would like to suggest a travel forum if there hasn't been one created already. Whether it's taking a drive across a city/state/province/country or taking a plane (or a boat) oveseas, I think it would be neat if people can share stories of thier travels.
  8. Since somebody mentioned about Swish2 or Swishmax, you could also try Swishpix - which can be used exclusively for Flash photo albums...consider it as a simple version of the Swish programs. Check out their the website for more info.
  9. Just checked your website (template). Not bad, but the images took a bit of time to load. I have ADSL, but I could imagine how long it would take for someone who is still on dial-up....Just my 2 cents.
  10. It seems that whoever came up with that kind of research had nothing else better to do. Oh well, at least I'll know where to go to find the answer if someone asks.
  11. Although I don't have any reputation points so far, I'm just content with posting a comment here and there and perhaps start up a topic. I believe the points will eventually come if I provide a helpful link or, as some others mentioned, post a tutorial.
  12. This is a tough question to answer. I love barouque (Bach, in particular) because it has that drive that never quits until the end of a piece. I also like anything by Mozart - mainly for its simplicity and lighthearted feel to the music. Overall, though, I really love Beethoven's music - from his piano concertos to his symphonies. When I took several courses in music history - Beethoven's music was more of a precursor to the Romantic music era.
  13. Well, there's more investigation in the wake of the train crash. There's been a lot of reports with people pointing fingers at each other. Among the stories included:- Two other JR West officials who survived the crash apparently did not stay to help rescue the victims- JR West did NOT cancel a bowling competition (set on the same day of the crash) for its employees- The president of JR West apologized so many times -at the crash site and at the news conferences - that one has to wonder whether he was saying from the bottom of his heartKinda makes me wonder what's going on with that company...

    Hello ^^

Hi there, and welcome to the community! Hope you enjoy your stay here. See you around in the forums!
  15. On average, I usually get about less than one hosting credit per post (on a one or two liner post) unless I submit a composition or a detailed comment on recent news. If I just reply to someone else's topic then it's just to state my point of view rather than post for the credits. Same thing goes for the Introductions forum, too...since I like to introduce myself to other new members.
  16. Welcome (back), luke? I just joined the community last month. Great to meet one of the first members of Trap 17! As you can see by my member number, the community is getting bigger and bigger.
  17. It depends on what you use the internet for. One thing is for sure is that you don't want to get too hooked on it. There's nothing wrong with web-learning at all, but don't forget to shut the computer off and get out in the fresh air every now and then. Air is good - and it's free as well!...and now I'll cast my vote.
  18. Welcome to the community, Chicken. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here. Good luck with your band. I think you found the right place to host your future website. I also like to hear some of your music. If you have an mp3 sample, feel free to send to me. See you on the forums!
  19. Wow! Didn't know about negative calorie foods. I'll have to print the list for the next time I go grocery shopping.

Hi there, and welcome to the community! Hope you enjoy your time on the forums and I'll see you around.
  21. I think they're still counting...maybe they have an infinite amout of space in store for G-Mail (not likely, but it'd be neat if they did). Oh well, I have lots of space than I know what to do with.
  22. I like cars for traveling long distances because I'm not bound by a schedule and I like speeding down the highway.Trains are a close second, though...especially since I live in Japan. When I want to enjoy the scenery, read a book, etc. taking the train is a nice break. Gotta love the shinkansen (bullet train)!
  23. When I was in high school, I enjoyed French and German classes. I was one of the better students at that time and I really had a knack for learning both languages. Art class was also a lot of fun for me - I still remember doing a photo essay using good ol' black and white film, cameras and the darkroom.I also enjoyed Geography class - my favourite course was Urban Studies (when I was in Grade 12). That was a lot of fun as well; especially doing a field trip to Toronto to observe the different kinds of areas within a large city. Heck, some of the elective courses I took was Cultural and Economic Geography.
  24. I've heard a lot of problems related to using a P2P program (most notably Kazaa). I tried Morpheus, too. It was fine at the start, but then several Trojan horse viruses appeared. Never using that one again.I recently decided to try Shareaza - open-source, no ads and no viruses/spyware/adware. Not sure about Ares or Limewire. How are those programs?
  25. Hey all! Thought I'd ask all of you what internet browsers have you used in the past - up to and including what you use now?
