Can The Warn Level Been Increase Or Removed?
snlildude87 replied to guangdian's topic in General Discussion
Yes, the warning level can be increased or decreased with a click of a button. When a moderator or an admin sees that you have done something against the terms of service, then we will increase your warning level. If it is not your first offense, then your posting ability will be removed for X number of days depending on what your warning level is. If we see that you have been obeying the terms of service for about a month, then we will decrease your warning level. If you reach 100% on your warning level, then you are banned from Xisto. -
Wow... Unlimited Disk Space unlimited???
snlildude87 replied to HoRuS's topic in Web Hosting Support
Yeah, I have it too.And Horus, don't start messing with around because you could create a script that would end up making one of the admins ban you. That happened to Mario once, and he's outta here. -
The color scheme looks a bit like XBox 360's. Anyways, the first thing that I thought when I saw that was "wow...sleak design". Man, that console looks so awesome....

Bah! I've known about this for a while now. However, I don't think you can really prevent your computer from being spied on if you plan to buy a computer after 2006 because, like Windows XP, I think that Windows Longhorn will be installed on all new computers. The only effective way to prevent Microsoft, spywares, adwares, or viruses from entering your computer is abstinence. That is, don't connect to the internet, and never let any computer stick their dirty little CDs and floppies into your computer. And even if you get a virus, you can easily get rid of it with all the good antivirus programs out there. *cough* NOT Norton *cough*

Nice Website a new forum ......???
snlildude87 replied to vstxyghosts's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Do not talk about other web hosting services because it's bad for us. Xisto is the best.Thread closed. -
You might want to change the link colors at the bottom - I can hardly read it. Also, you can try to read up on CSS to change the positions of the content box. I also notice that you used frames for the content box. Don't do this. Frames are one of the worst HTML markups in the world. The navigation bar is not impressive at all. If you made it yourself, then, yes, I would be impressed, but now it just looks "out-of-place". The reason for this is that your frame floats above the navigation bar, so you cannot see the entire nav. bar. I have no idea what the XTRA CHECKER !! at the bottom means. It, too, looks out of place. So for right now, I recommend reading up on CSS, and your website will look dramatically better.

snlildude87 replied to serverph's topic in Search Engines
I've played the guess-the-google-image game before, but it was not powered by Flash, so it was very easy cheat...right click on the image and figure out the answer by the filename. -

snlildude87 replied to fre3's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I see that you are hosted here at Xisto! That's good because you can use the resources here, .htaccess and .htpasswd, to make your own password gate with a relatively high level of security: http://ww1.vortex-webdesign.com/ Good luck! -

Anyway To Link Files From Your Harddrive To A Site?
snlildude87 replied to lil_chris's topic in General Discussion
I do not believe that you can links to kazaa and limewire because these programs use a completely different networks that what the internet operate on.... However, if you use a google "hack", you can file mp3 files all over the net: https://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en%22&btnG=Search Just a side note, it's against the terms of service of Xisto to have copyrighted mp3 files. If found, your files will be permanently deleted off Xisto servers. -
Personally, I don't think the type of links have any impact on your search engine rankings, but what I'd recommend you do is find websites with good search engine ranks and look at their source code. How do you know if a site has good search engine ranks? Search for a very common term, or terms, on a page, and if it appears in the top 5, then it's ranking is very good. Now, look at the source code and figure out if it's relative or absolute. Also, this isn't related to your topic, but if you have dead links on your site, then I've heard that you will lose your rankings, so it's a good idea to validate your links once in a while.
