Does anyone know how to get a portion of the URL, record it somewhere, and display it later? For example, for something like index.php?name=blah, "blah" would be taken out, recorded, and displayed wherever you want it to.That was a terrible explanation, but imagine those AIM subprofiles where each time a user visits, it remembers who you are and how many times you've visited.Thank you in advance!

Dragonfly, if you're a webmaster, you might find this useful. If you want people to download...say a video...without wasting all your bandwidth, all you have to do is append .nyud.net:8090 to the domain extension of your domain. So to display an image, do: <img src="http://yourdomain.com/.nyud.net:8090/im.jpg">

Oh man am I unique. My first website was not on Geocities or Angelfire, but it was a simple subprofile-site that I created by hand. The entire thing was able to be viewed in AIM's text browser, and because it's a text browser, images, tables, css, and other goodies were not available. I had well over 10 pages, but updating them all were a pain, so I stopped. The host that...hosted (for lack of a better word) my site was Thirdage if you're wondering.

Where's the "Don't need one" option?I was using Norton 2003 Professional since forever, but then I decided to kill the system tray icon, which turned out to be really stupid of me because that turned off the Auto-protect feature as well. Well, I wanted that back, so I reinstalled Norton, but now it doesn't work all together.Now I just have a firewall - Zone Alarm.

Yeah, I use that too!!The only bad thing I can mention about that program is that the menus will not show if you have a flash file i.e., a flash game. You'd have to make your flash file transparent and that usually messes up the way the game looks.
