  1. I?m not very creative because I want to make websites that not only are of my taste. You have to make some concessions if you don?t want your web to end like stupid modern art paintings catching dust in a gallery while a bunch of snobs look at them. As for opinions and feelings yes, I give almost all of me. But always trying to give preference to infomation and usability.
  2. It?s interesting from a sciencist point of view but terribly scary as human beings.By the way, ocean water it?s not for drinking, you know. No joke, please. They would need desalation machines, and that?s really expensive.
  3. I suppose you don?t have to worry about that as long you?ve learnt the lesson (from whatever you did worng) and know the forum rules just to not break them again. It?ll go away with time.
  4. mmm... but I think in other hostings there is a "bandwidth exceeded" page or at least it appears nothing (a blank page).Anyway snlil, you must have a lot of visitors because it seems very difficult to me to have my bandwidth site exceeded. Xisto offers you more than usually free hostings do.
  5. I don´t know if its the same but I had an error installing because of an incompatibility with ATI video cards. Don´t know what is your error about, but maybe you´ll find some answers in the "support" section of the official website. http://www.2kgames.com/civ4/support.htm
  6. My first site was like six years ago more or less. I think it was in geocities and later in galeon.com with a horrible template but I had no idea of html then and frontpage express was not a good option. Besides, I uploaded it at university because I had no internet at home then.Oh, and it was a music website, but very poor, of course.
  7. I think probably Gmail would be in trouble if everybody used the 100% of their inbox space. I do use it above a 90% but only because I have there music files that I interchange with my friends (we have some kind of mailing list to know new starting bands) and I am too lazy to be constantly erasing them all.So I don?t think that there are lot of people who have their space full, it would be a problem if there were no limit (10 megabyte) of attaching files, because people woud store films, isos and things like that.
  8. For me, Starcraft. I spent lot of hours playing that game. Now I don?t play computer games very often.
  9. Right now I?m listening to Suggestion from Fugazi. The album, their acclaimed 13 Songs.
  10. I hope this won?t happen. User?s addittion are the disctintive thing about Wikipedia and if it?s so good is clearly because of that. It would be awful if it became "commercial" or driven by any editorial interest.
  11. It seems like all of you see only positive aspects in this fusion. You are very optimistic, aren?t you? What about the disadvantages of it? Think about other monopolies... are they good? Only for themselves. Now Photoshop won?t need to make great improvements, because there won?t be a Fireworks that could menace his sells. The same with Freehand, Illustrator, etc. They can relax and release less versions with less changes. Free competence always means better products, better offers and more options for the user. But if there?s a monopoly we have to be happy with what it is, although it isn?t really good. The only good thing is the compatibility but I?m not sure if that?s enough good in the balance. Maybe it will be a good time to jump to freeware apps.
  12. I´m spanish and certainly that´s a right translation. I´ll explain. "mama" it´s like a polite word for "breast" or "*BLEEP*". It´s used rarely except in medical things. For example "cancer de mama" it´s one of the most frequent cancer types. Apart from this, you talk about "mamas" when you´re referring to a mother feeding their babies, human or even more frequently when it´s an animal. Instead, mamá, it´s like mom. It´s the way a child names his or her mother. Commonly it has an accent in the second syllable and that´s a way to difference it but in some areas they say it "mama" as well, but (at least in Spain, don´t now about americans) think it´s kind of low cultural level. It´s funny how google use the "breast" acception. Explanations from the Language Academy Dictionary
  13. Cool animation. First I hadn?t readit well and I thought that yours was the "MTV guy animation", as you said on the left... and I was impressed As for the "Divorcio" video I like it, but I think you could improve it a lot. The thing that I don?t like most is the way you display the text of the chorus... very typical. Anyway the music sounds good and I?m curious about your insect-masked drummer

    Which Linux?

I use Ubuntu. It?s free, of course, and if you want they send you copies to your house no matter where you live. I think right now it?s probably the best alternative to Windows for people who are not very familiar with computing.By the way, the minimum they send you is five copies. I know because I got a packet with them a month ago.
  15. Really impressive, extremely realistic. I can?t believe the things that talented people can do with dedication and computers.
  16. First of all Europe is not only one country. Secondly, Bush administration did ask european countries to join. And some of them (us) joined thanks to presidents with small brain content, such as the żlaborist? prime minister Tony Blair and our old and stupid José Maria Aznar ("Ansar" is how Busch called him). I admire those countries which didn´t joint Bush in that particular crusade, like Canada, France or Germany. Nad that have good results too... maybe some sectors in the US hat you for that, but keeping neutral Canada gets a lot of respect because nowadays the easiest way is to do what the american president say. Believe me, I´m spanish and I feel ashamed for my country supporting that war, although I never voted that government. And I have to say that from a european point of view, canadians look more friendly and less paranoiac than your fellows from the states. Although you all have the same face in South Park
  17. You should be more careful with what kind of people use your computer. I mean, PC is for personal computer, so the name says it all. Your friends were a bit rude and childish with your online "friends", but if you talk to those ones and tell them what happened I don?t think they?ll have problems in forgetting about it.
  18. Gmail is becoming a great service and it?s still in beta phase. But the fact is that works really well, so they?re not going to launch it as definitive until they get completely sure that is the best email service. Right now I only miss a way to make groups of contacts (if it?s possible I don?t know why).
  19. I think all you need is a lot force of will. Try to think in your health, your breath the dryness in your mouth after smoking, etc. whenever you have the temptation to smoke a cigarette. And you?ll need a lot of support of your faily and friends.... I think that?s the point.
  20. Happy birthday Opaque!. I wish you a lot of other good years as administrator
  21. That skeleton animation is really awesome. I can?t imagine just how many code must be there... my head aches just thinking about it Really cool, it?s very funny to play with although it isn?t exactly a game.
  22. Umm, I?m very interested in this too. I thought google uses it but it seems like no one has really an exact idea of how Google indexes really, so I don?t know. I didn?t even know that there were so many different tags. Maybe someone wise enough could do a tutorial about this...
  23. Always complaining. I don?t mind if google or another email provider offered 3 gigas or 3 terabytes in the past. The fact is that Gmail provides us more that 2 gigas and it?s mora than enough, unless we want to have our mp3 or video collection there, which is kind of stupid. For me is a great offer and their ads doesn?t disturb me.
