If by any chance you have seen bani's tutoriary site then you can get some good pointers for the HTML coding part. CSS is also covered i guess. I found 2 column and 3 column template tutorials handy and i suggest them to others. So check out those tutorials if you want to know more. For slicing part i don't know GIMP is useful or not but i use the photoshop and paintshop pro for the msot of part. Hope this helps.

If you don't have dreamweaver then you can always install softwares like NVU. NVU is free software and i guess it runs on Mac as well. Other than that you can always search for WYSIWYG freeware mac program. There are 2-3 such programs if i remember correctly. Not using mac as workstation so can't confirm.

Only suggestion that i want to see is that it should have a section called "portfolio". This portfolio feature should be different than projects or clients. Portfolio word is catchy and i would like to see your results after adding this page. Atleast this is how most designer sites are around.

Yes. sony already shipped few sets of netbooks with google chrome installed in it. only concern that people have about such cloud OS is that they want to do offline work and not want to tie themselves to any service for snopping their files and activity. Google is known for such activity so even if they offer faster they are lacking privacy and assurance to users.

I think there is one more thread for this already not sure where it is now. There is definitely some value to domain name when you are targeting product or offer. If you are targeting your brand name and want to make presence then just focus on brand than on domain name. For example, ausloguics is registry cleaner developer but they have domain name on their brand name and not on "registry cleaner" keyword. If you want to build brand then stick with the name you have chosen for and don't worry about these keywords as brand name site rise no matter how much SEO tweaks affiliate/niche site do while competition with brand.

It's not buggy but it's new mycent which is made to reduce the earning. This way i guess opaque wants to reduce the spam or excess of posting for mycents or want to keep people on site. whatever. besides your post count is low and once it goes to 1k or 500 then you will see the reduction in your mycent earning per post. try checking other threads for this. we all are facing this issue(some people are getting good but atleast 1k and higher post count people are getting low mycents).

It takes 2 days for me to update. Some people are getting 1 day update or alternate day update for their posting. Sometimes we do have issues like 2-3 days of no updates. Mycents value is reduced now to kill some spammers. So expect 1 $ mycent for say 10-12 post irrespective of word count.

Well only thing i failed to find out about lockerz is that why they showed their faces on videos and on their site. I mean scammers are usually anonymous and only hide behind good website design and schemes. But these guys arranged shows and videos which exposed their faces isn't it ? i think lockerz was a publicity stunt with customer data and manipulation. some extent it worked out for them.

I have Dell IN191ON for my desktop. It is wide 19'' monitor and with LCD screen. I prefer LCD screen these days as it is working fine for me. Viewsonic and LG are expensive option in comparison to this Dell monitor so i didn't opted for it. But if you don't have Dell arround then you can look for LG studio series.

I wonder how SETI gets funds these days. They are promoting a lot of member and donation activity on it's frontpage which is unlikely SETI in earlier times. Before 2008 i didn't see much issue of their donation drives but now they need it to run the facility i guess. Here is how i managed to connect my mobile phone and laptop to internet. My phone is sony erricson and i got CD with phone manager software that allows sync, internet connection management and file manager. Check your mobile phone company provides such CD and manual. if you don't get any cd then check if there is any interfacing software available. with such interfacing software things becomes easy.

Only way i know to avoid further damage to laptop is by letting the laptop dry on it's own. Due to my working near air conditioner i can say that it works out somehow. by letting it dry on its own you can be sure that there is no moist. but avoid keeping it in direct sunlight because it will damage your laptop screen if there is too much temperature on it.

2 years ago then it could be intel dual core or core 2 duo. i doubt even pentium 4 was released 2 years ago. last processor in pentium 4 was released during end of 2006-07. so that's 3.5 years so far. but from the price of it maybe it could be old pentium 3. because old pentium 4 machines are still sold for some good amount these days. by the way which video card is this ? company name or specific model name ?

Hmm, which distro you use as linux ? If you give us that info then it will become easy. For admin purpose there are two linux distros used in industry environment - red hat, suse. Other distros like debian, centos are for dedicated/vps hosting servers which you rarely encounter for home/business networking most of time. You should find the red hat, suse related books for your linux admin course or knowledge. If you're targeting RHCE or RHCT then you should get this book. Or if you are interested in administrating linux irresepctive of distro then getting linux bible can be a good option. other than this, you can browse wiki pages of suse, red hat and debian for more updated information about distros. Get active in related distro community and then answer or ask questions.

My favorite ? it's physics. But i'm not keeping up with this subject anymore. It was my favorite during university time. I think too much corporate head will definitely take some of your interests from your head and this has to be one for me. But i still like physics and will keep up with it in future if possible. I have set my default browser to firefox from the system configuration. I mean the one from add-remove programs place. There is no random loading from IE so far and firefox working fine without interruption from IE. Yes you are right that some worms target IE and that is the reason browser requires update.

Social engineering is wide concept and not just related to cyber manipulation. Advertisers are using it to lure customers. Many employers are using it for sucking some employees. and there you have seen the social engineering in cyber world where hackers wants to gain access to personal information for their benefit. Be it credit card, personal ID etc. manipulating it using the information available makes it part of social engineering.

Problem with internet download manager is it is kinda shareware software as far as i know. So those type of softwares often nag with the messages etc. So using the built in browser capability is good idea. Not sure if this helps to all but atlest i prefer to use browser add-on over such softwares.
