Hometown best and worst features of your hometown
Spyda replied to AndroKing's topic in General Discussion
One thing that I love about my hometown:One thing that I really love about my hometown and one reason that I hope to not move away from it is just the closeness that everybody has. I know mostly everybody in the town that I live in and everybody really gets a long with everybody else. There are usually not many fights, not many clashes, not much drama. We are just simple people trying live a great life. Now, even though that's a good thing, there are some pretty bad things as well. For one, the closeness causes people to know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE. If somebody got arrested the night before, BAM everybody in town knows about it and rumors will fly from east to west. If somebody does something they know they shouldn't .... BAM everyone will know about it in about two seconds. That's one of the things that really sucks. I mean, yeah sure you shouldn't be doing things that give you publicity, but sometimes you make mistakes and it sucks to know that people will know about it quickly and maybe never forget about it. So yeah, overall I love my hometown. There are some bad things, but I think the good things outweigh the bad things by a mile. I hope to go to college a little outside of my hometown that way I can live in close proximity to it  -
If you copy anything from the internet, you need to put it in quote tags and cite the source. Just to let you know...Those are some interesting facts, by the way. The one I still do not get (maybe it's because I am extremely slow) is the one that about the dollar sign that it's a U combined with an S.Edit: I get it now

Wow... Google chrome OS. I probably will never use this as I am very happy with the current OS I use, but this is just pretty cool to see that Google is extending their capabilities. It's also kind of scary

Clicksor seems pretty similar to Kontera, which is what I use and what Xisto/Astahosts currently use for the revenue sharing that they provide. Anyway, it seems like clicksor only wants sites that are of high traffic and high search engine results. For that reason alone, the average webmaster probably will not suit well with them. Though, people with high traffic would!

Aim Hacking My experiance with a hacker
Spyda replied to iGuest's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I never liked AIM. One my accounts was hacked about two years ago and before that I believe another one was too (I wasn't able to login so I might've just forgotten the password or maybe a friend/relative logged in and changed it.) Since this date, I've gone ahead and made my sisters delete their AIM usernames and switch over to Yahoo. I've also made them use passwords that were at least 10-15 characters and made sure they used both letters, numbers and symbols. I have done the same -
Hmm.. this seems like a copy/paste job to me, though there is some really good information here. The best thing that I read is the "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." If you ever read online those advertisements that say 'make 2000 a day at home" or w/e, those are a case of being too good to be true. Sure, it is possible for somebody to make 2000 a day through a home business, but the thing is it takes dedication and it's not easy to do.

Trust me, it is. I was this close to giving them my SSN and paying them a debt that never existed. Who knows what they could've done with my SSN. I'm still pretty clueless on how they received my address/name. I use Verizon Wireless prepaid, so I think that they may have sold my information to them? I'm not sure if that is correct, but that is the only thing I can think of..

This is sort of off-topic I guess, but what sport are you talking about? It seems like Soccer (football you probably call it) and what country is the sport played it. I never heard Arsenal... is that a player or a team? Sorry for my ignorance just wanting to know more

The thread is loading correctly now. Thanks Jim and BH. On a side note, do you guys know why that happened? When I made the thread, it initially showed up and everything seemed okay. Then I was going to go back to the thread to edit some things and out and bam, it just disappeared. Not sure why though, but again thanks for your guy's help. Hopefully word gets across to more people about how terrible this company is

These Forums Seem Kind Of Dead Just an observation
Spyda replied to dangerdan's topic in General Discussion
I love the new way Xisto/Xisto have been planned out with Mycents and revenue sharing. It's sort of like they are paying us to post on the forums (which in all actuality would be a fair statement.) Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about activity. When people need to post to keep their hosting account alive, they'll come running back to the site easily. Nothing to worry about -
Okay guys, this is a post similar to one I made on Xisto. I'm not going to copy and paste exactly what I wrote over there, since that would be against the rules, but I am posting this topic here so people realize what kind of terrible company NCO financial is and how they are tricking innocent people into thinking that they have debts so they will profit it. Now, NCO financial is a legit collection agency. They are supposed to target individuals who have debts with various companies, yet by doing so they target innocent people who do not have debts in hopes to cash in. NCO contacted me numerous times through my Verizon cell phone. I don't know how the heck they were able to ascertain the number, but nonetheless they were able to get my name and address through it. They began calling me number numerous times before 8:00 AM (which I read is illegal for telemarketers to do, of course they don't care.) They began telling me I had a debt with a local company and that I needed to call them back to settle the case. I called back around a week later and tried telling this guy that I did not have any debts with the company. The guy was very rude and wanted my SSN, which of course I did not give. I was at the point of just paying them so they would stop bothering when I began searching online. I found out that there were other people in the same situation. NCO finacial had been calling them about a debt that did not exist and trying to get personal information from them such as SSN, ect. I also found out that they had numerous lawsuits against them and some were pending. I am glad I was able to find out about this company and didn't fall for their tricks. If NCO fiancial calls you (800-709-8625) and you know 100% you do not have a debt with anybody, then do not answer. Ignore their calls. Call you phone company and ask them to block the # from contacting you.

If you would have to upgrade to anything than I would probably recommend using Windows 7. Most people who have upgraded to it are very satisified. I personally use Windows Vista, though, and am extremely happy with it. But, most people complain that Vista has way too many bugs and isn't as secure as 7. So again, if you need to upgrade to something, I would recommend Windows 7. Hope that helps

Hey welcome to Xisto! Trap is the most reliable free web hosting company out there. I've been here for about 4 years on and off the service has gotten better. With the Mycents system, you earn points for posting and then use the points to buy hosting, domains and more. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the site

Here's my view:I feel bad for people who are unable to speak English because it is extremely hard for them to get much of anything done. With that said, I think people who live in the US should at least try to learn the language. Legal immigrants in this country who want to live in this country are forced to take a residency test which needs them to know fluent English. So, the people who you have come in contact with are more than likely not legal immigrants.

Interesting Fact About Google Page Rank trap 17 and profile pages
Spyda replied to anwiii's topic in Search Engines
Good points BH, though it's still kind of confusing at to why a profile page would have a PR 2. Page Rank never really meant anything to me and I know one very successful webmaster whose site is PR1 yet he has the over 1,500,000 posts to his forum and a couple hundred thousand members. As long as your site is successful or making you money and whatnot, then who really cares about its PR? -
Not sure if anybody has heard of them or ever listened to them, but A day to Remember is a hardcore/rock band. I started listening to them about 3 months ago and haven't stopped. Before I listened to them, I hated any type of Screamo. I remember thinking that weird gothic people who were contemplating suicde only listened to Screamo, but the quickly changed once I started to listen to them. Here are some of their songs: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ So tell me what you guys think

Ok thanks BH. This thread is kind of important to me just because this company really had me believing I owed a debt. They couldn't tell me which company it was for and it really got to the point where I was actually going to pay them money so they could resolve it. Luckily, I researched a bit and saw that other people had similar problems with NCO financial where they were in the same predicament. Anyway, I leave the rest in the thread once it comes back. But, again, thanks for keeping me updating

I made a thread labeled NCO Financial Scam where I talked about how this company has been harassing me for a debt that is non-existent. Looks like the thread has been deleted. Can anybody tell me why? http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

I really like how you begin by yelling at other members in this thread for making the generalization that this news article, and others alike, are 100% accurate, yet you do the same thing by saying that Trap caters to children who crucify without just cause. I'm definitely not a child and I really do not appreciate you calling me one either

Long distance relationships are extremely hard and most of them do not last. If I was you, I would break off the relationship UNLESS they are going to be coming to French sometime soon. Otherwise, there is really no point as the relationships is most likely not going to last. http://www.waiit.com/Long_Distance_Relationships_Statistics

What website is this? Mind showing us a link?And... this is absurd. Unless they have solid facts and statistics to back up their claims that a certain type of music leads to drug abuse, then they have no room at all to make claims like that.
