  1. Interesting! I actually found a method that generates a prime number, but there would have to be a ton of calculations for a number that has 10 million digits. My comp can't handle that.
  2. I don't really know what to say... I mean... you've got an interesting theory but I kinda think you're being a bit narrowsighted amit nigam. There are lot of other plausible explanations for what you're talking about any you don't even mention... And you say "how were the pyramids built without tools or machienary..." You don't know that. They clearly used machienery, and it may have been as simple as cranes or as complex as telaporters... we don't know... but anyway, I just want to encourage you to be a bit more open-minded and be willing to make amendments to your theories... You don't know that some alien dudes dropped us off here... I think there might be other life out there, but if you really think they are the reason we are here then that raises the question of "where did they come from." I personally believe in creation and a god, and there is an interesting idea that really makes me think that it isn't by chance that we came about... This exercpt is from an old magazine I have, and to me it is just more proof that there is some sort of creator out there:

    Kidnapped Domain?

Looks fine to me, but I don't speak spanish. Does it go like:adseok: Posicionamiento en GoogleConsigue el primer puesto en buscadoresor something?
  4. Ok, if you're on a school computer, here's a tip to run whatever you want... just name it the same as an existing program (e.g. notepad.exe, iexplore.exe) and it will run... It is really nice and you can do stuff like run Firefox on school computers. (Portable firefox is really nice at school.)
  5. Yeah. I agree with you... I mean, we're all worried about credits, but that doesn't mean I mindlessly reply without reading the initial post. Though I often don't read all the posts in a 7 page thread, I at least make sure I know what I'm talking about.
  6. oh, god, don't even get me started... cheesy pick-up lines are so... cheesy. btw, there's a big, big long list of them here, for anyone who cares... http://www.pickuphelp.com/ entertaining... and you can probably find plenty by doing a google search...
  7. I think it's pretty clear that nobody would pay for google. It has many nice features, but just the hassle of paying is enough to keep me away - that, and $5 a month is a lot of $$$. That's $60 a year... I can buy myself something spiffy for that price.
  8. I'd say just get a program to do it... there are lots of free ones out there... And also, I think icons have to be 256 colors...
  9. I just really don't care about race... I think it's fine to have an interracial relationship and know how you feel. Ish. Well, people are like that, I guess.
  10. Look. There's a trillion things wrong with it... make sure you have an index.html file - it has to be named that. Or maybe it's htm. Check what the standard extension is.
  11. Just a note, any computer that uses windows is super expensive - that's why it's cheaper to buy your own - if you have an old copy of windows you can save yourself several hundred dollars. Notice from jlhaslip: erased the duplicate portion of this posting
  12. That?s very philosophical of you, shadowx? I guess whatever your brain tells you could be considered reality ? after all, what you see is reality to you. For example, maybe what you see as red is actually blue to others? But then again, I guess reality is just not in one?s own mind but in their dealings/relationships with others? I mean, if you?re schizophrenic you really don?t see others as what they are. If you hallucinate or something that people are aliens, then is that true? No, not really, because, even if we do all look like aliens in reality (which there is nothing to compare us to, so I guess that?s true) we see each other as human beings? our intentional actions are in reality? If you hallucinate that someone is trying to kill you when in reality this entity is trying to diagnose you, it?s pretty obvious what reality is.
  13. yeah, well, I know how you feel... I hate it when people are in AMERICA but don't speak ENGLISH! And it's even more frustrating when they don't even make an effort to learn... talk about annoying. And it doesn?t help that our country?s English program is totally messed up ? 75% of the kids in my English class can?t read out loud ? and that?s counting the one whose family is rooted in America for generations. But, like you said, what really annoys me is that once they?re here immigrants don?t even bother to learn the language. They?re isolating themselves from our culture and being unwilling to assimilate? which really, you have to do if you?re moving to a new country. Just apathy, total apathy?
  14. Screw the sexist remark... Really, though, if she's having you help and you can't answer this question, you should stick to windows. Definately NOT XP, though. 2K maybe, but you'd have to up the ram even for that. The computer's processor is fine, but for any OS > 95/98, you'll need at least 128. Linux is good but waaaaaaay too complicated. Linux is much more complicated than Windows - windows is made for easy use by inexperienced people. If the computer's just too slow and she really wants XP, she should just buy a new laptop... It'll save loads of trouble. Trust me.
  15. Yeah. It?s crazy? people have their lives on their cell phones. In my opinion people are waaaaay too attached to their cell phones and in general have this false sense of security about technology. But really, if you?re going to sell your cell phone or whatever why don?t you at least CHECK if there is anything personal on it? Wouldn?t you do the same thing if you sold your computer? Cell phones won't keep your secrets? Duh, of course they won't! I mean, maybe they just forgot or something, but I doubt it. You should learn how to use any such device if you own it...
  16. I don't know exactly. A lot of bosses in RPGs seem to be really difficult becuase I'm not the kind of person who spends all their time leveling up my characters. On real time games you just have to figure out the tricks, and that's not too hard for me because I am blessed with god-like reflexes. Or maybe I just play games too much.
  17. which is named after Hawking becuase scientists have egos, too. And big ones. Anyways, white dwarfs are dense, but nowhere near as dense as a black hole. While a white dwarf has a density of roughly 1x10^9 g/cm^3, a black hole, though it essentially has infinite density, technically has a density of something like 1.8x10^16 g/cm^3, and a Neutron star is about 1x10^14g/cm^3
  18. I dunno. I'm pretty sure there's some sort of life in other places, but I'm not sure if there is "intelligent life" on other planets. I'm sure there's a lot ob bacteria on other places and the such. Like on jupiter's moon Europa, I guess they found bacteria, but that could have been from the spaceship, though you would think they would die in space. Probably because they would. But anyways, with all the galaxies out there, there's gotta be something else... wheter or not it's an advanced species is up to debate for me.
  19. I think personal computers will continue to move more towards notebooks, but for anyone who actually cares about their specs and has any sort of pride in their computer, desktops will always be the choice...

    Frontpage Tables

sounds frustrating. don't you just LOVE tables? well, I've never felt the need to splice an image for a website, so... I've never had to deal with this... Well, good luck...
  21. if you ask me, that's really rude. If he was really a great, honest guy he would have just told you - it would have hurt still the same, but it's being honest and the two of you might still be able to be friends in the future. Though, really, if I was in his position I wouldn't know what to do, he should have just come out and told you. This other girl could have turned out to be a real loser and then he could always come crying back. :DWell, take care. It might be a while until you're really over the whole thing but you just need to remember that you're your own person and that just because this guy broke up with you doesn't mean you're any different. If he hadn't wanted to be with you but he stuck to you for a long time it'd end up feeling fake to both of you and chances are more people than just you would have ended up getting hurt.
  22. Haha. Wow. Now THAT is ironic... But really, it's so easy to hack most stuff... even websites... Everybody likes to feel secure, but in reality they're as vulnerable as anyone else. This is such an example... the guy probably thought he had everything all patched up, too... Great story.
  23. Yeah, really, they are the same, and they're both great... But the forum topics are a bit different... I agree with MIGUE2k7... and for me, and I'm guessing all of us, the answer is Xisto - it's pretty obvious... we're all on Xisto...
  24. I'm seeing what seems to be a lot of mistaken information here... Here's the scientific truth about black holes from an avid astronomer:1) Black Holes Do Exist - as stated, scientists are not sure of their nature, but we know they are very, very, very dense. If you collapsed the entire Earth into a sphere 1 in. (2.5 cm.) in diameter it would be as dense as a black hole.2) No light can escape from black holes. Also, a black hole is usually created when a super gigantic star collapses in a hypernova (like a really big supernova) or whatever's more powerful than a hypernova... some type of last-breath explosion3) White dwarf stars are not that dense, and neither are brown dwarfs or whatever the heck type of dwarf you want to talk about.4) What you might have been thinking of, MadKat-Z, is the Neutron star - a really, really, really dense star which wasn't quite large enough to become a black hole when the original star exploded, or their kin, the Quark Star...I've probably not made much sense but hopefully this sheds some light on the situation...
  25. The muslims have been at war with the western world ever since the crusades... and even before that... terrorism is just a recent chapter in this fight... we keep pissing off the muslims and for some reason they've never really forgotton the crusades... sore losers I guess... plus, most people don't realize how radically different their religion and media is from ours... they have a completely different set of values... here, read this article: http://international.nytimes.com/ I had to analyze it for a class and I don't completely agree with the angle it takes but just note the key points it brings up. You can't argue with numbers, you can only argue with how they're presented...
