First off I agree with you. Being a women myself I know its kind of a hard thing to admit that we are like that sometimes. I normally not self-centered or conceited, but sometimes I am and I hate when I am like that. Personal opinion I would of told those women it was none of their busniness in the first place. I agree women most often are the ones who make poor choices in men (Com'on if the guy hit his other girlfriend, what makes you think he wouldn't do it to you?), but there are points where I have to look at the guy and say "What where you thinking in dating her?"

Trap17 Is The Best Forum... ...Ive seen so far.
Madkat-Z replied to Unregistered 015's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I agree. I love the forums, mostly because there are so many topics to post on and new ones getting posted everyday. I think its rather nice to be on a board which actually has intelligent discussions, even if the topic is off the wall. Its a nice break then all of the forums that only conisist of "hI! tuLK 2 mE! a/S/l" boards. -
I will never under estimate what happens when you put a bunch of tech designer geeks in a room and tell them to come up with a new USB drive. I think the iDuck is cute though, however I find the food rather interesting, but I wouldn't buy one.

Trust me your not the only one. I love where the printers are located at my work, right in front of the help desk. So when people come up and ask "Where are the Printers?" I say "Right Behind You." The computers are located behind the help desk, so in order to get to the help desk you have to stare right at the printers, so you think that they would see them. Even people who come from outside the room I work in walk right by the printers and head to the help desk to ask the very same question.

Well I'm glad that I didn't pick an IPod for my MP3 player. I got a Phillips GoGear instead. It has only 30 gigs, but it has a FM Radio, a Voice/FM recorder and pictures. For the price of what it would of cost me for just for the 30 gig IPod, I got the MP3 player, a 2 year warrenty and a FM transmitter. I dislike Apple, because there system isn't as userfriendly as they claim it to be. I get more questions on macs at my work then anything else. The only thing I find Macs good for is for Video, Image and Sound editing, other then that I would never buy a mac. The other thing that gets me about Apple is the commercal they are running about Macs, stating what is so good about a mac compared to a PC. Half the stuff they say about Macs in those commercals is false. They don't have very many "Fun" programs, since some can now run windows they are now subseptiable to all the windows based Virus, and they are more unlikely to not work with devices such as Cameras, Pen Drives, I've even had problems with IPods not working on some Macs. I hope I didn't go too far off topic, I promise not to rant any more about Macs or Apple, at least for awhile

What Is The Craziest Thing You Have Ever Done?
Madkat-Z replied to CroSpartacus's topic in General Discussion
Oh, I've done that before. My friend sometimes would forget to bring his key and he was locked outside and no one was home, so we had to break in threw an unlocked window. I've also locked myself out of their house when I was suppose to take care of their animals and I accidently left the keys on the coffee table inside. What I had to do was push the air condition out of the window and climb in threw there. That was pretty much one of the crazy things I've ever done. I love Jalapeno Peppers, but only in moderation, because after a few I my tongue can't take it any more. Thats the sad thing, my stomach can take the Jalapenos. -
I've watched that show as well and I kind of believe that the penities should be worse, because to me an animals, insects, and plants, have just as much a right to life as humans do. I have a friend who is going to has to get rid of his dog soon, because where they are moving too doesn't allow pets, but he doesn't leave it do die at his old house. He goes over at least three times a day to let the dog in and out, make sure it has food and water and he is going to keep doing it until he can find a new owner or take it to an animal shelter. Now I agree with you on that BOAW, I don't think they should be shot however, but need to be hunted down and punished for their crime (I think life in prison is a good option). There comes a point where people do abuse their right to life, by taking lives ot others for no reason at all. As a personal opinion, they need to try and hunt down those people who do that, I'm pretty sure there are some clues in those videos to who they maybe.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I have gone threw that experiance quite a few times. I've lived with cats all my life and I currently have 7 of them. My cat, Stranger, died year ago and I'd had her for most of my life as well (about 16 years as well). However, I've managed to move on, and we ended up with another cat. I know its you get attached to your cats and I know that there will never be another cat like Stranger in my life, just like there will never be another Smokey in yours, but life goes on and the wounds heal.

Bird Flu, Aka H5n1, Is Anyne Worried About It?
Madkat-Z replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in General Discussion
I'm not too concered, because half the time diseses that are on the news are exagerated. However, I may be eating my words here in the next few years when it does become an epidemic and we are all dying from it. However, I do see it as a issue that needs to be looked into, at least with comming up with ways to treat it, if not cure it, and prevent it from spreading. This is because if we do not, then we will have an epidemic for sure and personally I don't want there to be The Great Bird Flu Epidemic in the history books. -
I think religion has a place in this world, but the problem is people need to become more acception of other people's ideas. So I don't think religion is the problem but people. Religion is just ideas and beliefes, which basically is all just words. The words themselves never killed anyone, but it was the actions of the person which did. As it goes "Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me". However, I know you can say that religion has killed may people just based on the fact that wars have been started in the name of a religion. I know words are very powerful, but its no excuse to start a war with someone . Its like declaring war against another country just because someone said "Your country is stupid, our country rules."

Survived 9th Grade Sooo hard at first, then got easier
Madkat-Z replied to michaelper22's topic in General Discussion
Well congrats on suriving your freshman year as well. I need a shirt that says "I survived my freshman year of College." Anyway, I hope the homework lets up on you next year. -
Well I know Ohio takes it seriouslly and we have the point system as well, but the problem is the only way it seems that a DUI offender gets his/her licesen taken away period is they have to hurt someone first. Most of the time it's a 30 day suspension. Anyway, the thing with enforcement, I was thinking as more of a deterant then really a way to enforce it. Kind of like the campains they did for smoking, just instead "If you want to keep your right to party, then have a designated driver." or something like that. Umm...well I tend to differ on this point, you can stop someone from drinking, you just have to force them to or give them a reason to stop. I'm pretty sure if you end up going to jail for 2 years for manslaugther because you where dumb enough to drink and drive and kill someone, would change your opinion. My point is that people are not taking the responsibility of drinking seriously. I know that most people take right to drive seriously, because they fear losing that right. If that wasn't the case then we have people going 100mph in a 25mph zone. I think the same system can be applied to drinking thats all.
-
Ok, this idea has been in my head for quite some time and I just started thinking about it again when BooZker posted his board on "The Reason Why People Get Drunk?, Isn't there a 1,000,000 other things you can do?". DUI's I see as a big problem. I've lost a friend of mine due to some one's lack of responsibility. So here is my idea to solve this problem. I think they need to instead of giving you a fine or take your license away the police need to take a bigger step, especially for repeat offenders. Drinking should be a privilege like driving, aka: it can be taken away as well. They need to instead of taking away their license and giving offender a fine, they need to take anyway their right to drink. Basically make it illegal for them to purchase alcohol or for anyone to provide them with alcohol. Of course this will have the same problems as underage drinking, but be more of a deterrent then just saying "Ok, we are going to take your license away for 30 days and here a 700 dollar fine, but hey drink as much as you want until then"I'm just curious if I'm just crazy, or if this might actually work.

The only language I speak fluently is English, however I do know some Latin (Raeda In Fossa Est. Raeda SEMPER In Fossa Est ) from taking it for three years in high school and I'm planing on taking Japanese this upcoming fall semester at my college.

Do You Know Html? Just Wondering, most of you would know.
Madkat-Z replied to scab_dog's topic in Programming
I thinks its rather sad when I have to help people with DreamWeaver or Microsoft FrontPage issues and it turns out to be a problem that can only be fixed by going into the code and fixing it and they don't know HTML in order to fix it. It drives me nuts when there are classes on web design and they don't even teach them HTML, they show them to push a few buttons and that's how you make a web page. -
Hey I use Yahoo! Anyway you do make a point, when ever I do try to keep in contact with friends they always say "Do you have AIM?" or every other messenger I don't use that often. I do agree with that, anyone who does meet up with a sex offender and ends up having bad consequences because of it deserves what they get. I don't know about all Internet relationships being bad. I know quite a few people who have had successful relationships online, you just have to be careful about who you try to have a relationship with and be on your guard.
-
Ok, I know I'm seeing this from a different angle, but there is no good reason to get drunk or even really drink in my book. I lost a good friend due to someone drinking and driving and living in a college town I have seen the worst of what alcohol does to people. I don't mind people who drink glass of wine every now and then, but its when people abuse that privilege is when I put my foot down. I personally think they need to stricken drinking laws even further. Especially when it comes to the punishment for DUI.

I have seen no point to Myspace. I prefer LiveJournal as an honest opinion, I find it more secure. The problem with Myspace is that its turned into more or less a dating/flirting site and not a way to keep up with friends like most people have tried to advertise it to me. The only benefit to Myspace is its a way for colleges to find out who about which students are responsible for vandalism on campus. I have never or will ever have a Myspace account.

I think puberty could effect your taste buds. I know I think some of the food I ate as a kid tastes like cardboard now. I think you could of also acquired a taste for veggies as well. I had to acquire a taste for coffee and tea.

Its a very interesting article, but I don't think I would allow robots (on there own at least) to preform complex surgery. With how may issues we have with technology, I would not trust a robot to go in and preform a surgery that could possibly kill someone or change their life. Surgery has enough dangers already and we don't need the added problem of having a malfunction with the robot as well. I know we user robots in surgery right now, but I wouldn't trust one just left alone to do its thing or left with out a fail safe device in place.
-
I do believe that some day robots may become so advance and so capable of complex thought they maybe just as capable of evil and good actions, just like any normal human is capable of. However, I'm not thinking we are going to have robots running around with ray guns out to destroy all of humanity. We may just have another race basically we will have to learn to deal with and co-exist with.

Removing Warts Methods is freezing the best way?
Madkat-Z replied to husker's topic in Health & Fitness
I've read about the Dandelion sap in a herbal medicine book for curing warts. However, I'm noticing the most common practice is cutting them off which can cause scaring and is most likely just as painful as the freeze cure. -
Oh, your not being nosiy. The way my college works is you need a certin amout of credit hours in order to be consider anything about a Freshman. I'm 1 credit hour shy of being a Sophmore, sadly.

I almost forgot to introduce myself. I am Madkat-Z (MZ for short) for all those who do not know yet. I didn't post my introduction yet because I wasn't sure if I was staying with Xisto. From the looks of it I am, so I figure I better get on with introducing myself.I'm a in college and I'm a computer science major. I'm technically a freshman still, but I'm on my second year of college. I'm hoping to go on after getting my degree and design computer games.I like penguins and cats...a little too much and I tend to rant alot when it comes to certain issues. *cough* I will try to keep my ranting under control however. I am rather random and I can be rather absent minding at times. I have been design web sites since *thinks* Umm...I think the sometime in middle school and I'm really interested in learning new languages (both computer and spoken) and I'm looking forward to learning quite alot from the members here. I have already learned quite alot as it is.I hope I will be at Xisto for good now and I won't have to go threw the process of switching hosts again. This is the third time I've had to switch hosts this month and my sites are turning into nomads and are in desperate need of a host that will be there for them. That's about all I'm going to say about myself. I will seeya guys and gals on the boards
