I don't see why you people always get spyware and *BLEEP*. I never get spyware, malware, virus or anything on my computer. Just use Firefox for those porn sites and you will be fine. Internet Explorer can be used for trusted sites. I never have any problems.And, if I do have problems. I just reload the image I have. Takes about 15 mins and I've got a fresh install of my comptuer with all my settings set the way I like with all the programs already loaded.It's not hard. You just have to be smart and not just use your computer without thinking. Do you drive your car without thinking? no. It's because if you drove your care without paying attention, you would crash it or get hurt. Same with your computer, you have to pay attention to where you are going on the internet and take the proper precautions.btw. i am on XP media center edition. Also was on XP Pro with absolutely no problems.

alot of this stuff can already be done except not to that scale. for example, the touch pads in computer laptops can recognize different types of touches. Also, there are many types of touch screens right now like cash registers. or even when you buy tickets at movie theatre and check in at air ports. these are all touch screens. i don't think this is really too far off. it's just the interface has to be developed and software will have to support it. basically all new OS has to be made to support this thing becaue right now the OS is mouse based.

I am currently using Intel. I think they are best if you don't use 64bit applications. AMD is only better once you get to 64 bit operating systems and applications. Intel is supposed to be "more compatible" with programs because the architecture of the AMD chips are slightly different than that of the intel chips. Though, most of the time, it's poor software design that causes incompatibility issues.. never the less, it is slightly better with intel chips.

if they don't refund the money you can always goto the credit card company and request a charge back.. that way you get your money back and the credit card company is responsible for getting hte money back from the company. that's why it is always good to use credit card for payment. they protect you against this sort of stuff.

There is no way I will buy a PS3 if it is anything over $500. What I'm going to do is wait until the PS3 comes out and by that time, the XBOX 360 will drop in price to stick it to sony. Then the 360 will be cheap so why not just pick that up and play with that? Then wait for the PS3 to come down in price. I think the play station is going to die if PS3 isn't successful... look at nintendo, sega, and others.

I think famous people or celebrities should be left alone if they are out on the street. I would not bother to ask them for autographs or pictures of them in that situation. Who cares if you've got their signature or picture anyway?The only time you should ask for a signature or autograph is when they are at special functions like promoting a movie or CD or whatever. The height/size difference you are talking about is simply a result of people having DIFFERENT lives. There are a few schools of thought around this. 1. People, in the last 10-20 years have consumed more an more "growth chemicals/hormones" through our food supply. Those "special" grains or feeds that are given to cows and chickens to produce bigger chicken breasts. This could filter down to the people who eat that meat. For example, there was a study that showed girls hit puberty earlier when exposed to growth hormones from beef. 2. People are eating healthier and standard of living is improving. Getting the proper vitamins and minerals and eating balanced diets. The other side of it is also people eating bigger portions... generating a fat population.

The way we use it has.One generation learns something new and passes it on to the next generation. Though we are technically not genetically passing it along, it is still being passed. For the last 20 or so years though, we have undergone a different type of evolution.The information age has transformed humans. the next evolution of human beings will be done using technology as an enabler. For example, when virtual reality comes and we are all plugged into a "matrix" like environment, we are no longer humans in the traditional sense. We "evolve" to a new form of life, that is being played out only in our minds. Look at genetic engineering. Technology and the information age (human genome project) has allowed humans to understand what we are made of and how we are built. the funniest stuff happens in call centers like on tech support. I heard some major funny stories from a call center for an ISP. They had this one old lady who called in saying her son was not getting the emails that she was sending him. These guys went through tons of trouble shooting. Then finally, the tech asked for the old lady to give him her sons address.... She gave him his mailing address... the old lady thought sending an email to a mailing address meant that the post office would print the email and mail it...another one was where a guy wanted to know why there was no sound coming from his computer. After checking sound card, drivers, etc. the tech asked if the speakers were plugged in. The guy said - what speakers? LOL... he wanted sound but didn't even have any speakers!

sometimes suspicious emails are real though. i got an email for a free magazine subscription and it turned out to be true.I thought it was spam at first. What I did was look at the message headers to see what domain the email was coming from and the path it took. Then instead of hitting reply, i typed in the email address to ask the guy if it was a scam just to see if the email was being spoofed.the other good test is the type of information they want from you. They asked for my name and mailing address. They did not ask for any type of payment information. I took the risk, sent them my info and a few months later, I started getting free magazines.

the movie was very predictable but there was some funny parts. It was a decent movie but I don't think it was really worth paying to watch.it is basically another one of those ghost of christmas past, present, and future type movie. Why do people believe god would even care about what we do? If there was a god and it was as powerful as people say it is, then it is highly likely that it doesn't care and never will care about what we do. all the writings of what god can do and what god is like is written by a man who HOPES that god will do those things because without those things, life would be meaningless for people. You don't need extremely high bandwidth for IPTV. The main thing is what compression they will use. Also, when IPTV first comes out I highly doubt they will deliver it in high definition. On a standard definition signal, they only require about 6mbits/sec speed. There are vdsl units where I live which deliver both internet and television. Though it is not exactly IPTV, the vdsl feed comes through the phone line and provides 12mbits/sec shared between the internet and tv signal. there are some issues with slow internet speeds.

gmail is starting to get slow. there are probably too many users on it now. There seems to be more errors now than when they first launched. I almost want to go back to hotmail or yahoo especially after they have upgraded (which is faster now).if gmail gets slower, i will definately switch. And it should be easy since there is email forwarding.
