i don't think it is a scam because they have some annoying ads on the site. those floating ads. i am guessing they make a lot in commissions or they are might even own the product they are advertising.I personally don't think it will work though. Because most people don't need dedicated servers. If they do need dedicated servers, they probably can afford paying for one through the traffic their site generates.

Wow. I just got a 32" LCD TV and I am writing this post using this great LCD TV. I got the ACER AT3201W from tigerdirect.ca The picture quality is great for such a cheap LCD TV. Everything looks awsome.I have tried component, composite, VGA, and DVI. They all look fantastic. Using the computer with a 32" Screen is awsome. Playing games on it is even better. I also hooked up my new XBOX 360 to this TV and set it to High Definition output (from the XBOX). Simply amazing. Can never go back to low res gaming... It's not only google that china bought off. Microsoft and Yahoo both agreed to have chinese search results filtered for words such as freedom of speech and other such things. The big search companies are just doing it so they can get access to the chinese market.BTW the student protest was called dubbed the "Tiananmen Square Massacre". The use of parsecs in Han Solos line can be wrong. A parsec is a measure of distance and since he is implying that his ship is fast in that race, it seems that he is using parsec as a unit of time.Obviously, it can be argued that the use is correct because it is just a science fiction movie. We could say that since the ship travels in hyper space there are certain areas of space you might have to go around (like black holes). Yes, I do agree that the US is going downhill ever since the war on iraq. They do not follow international laws anymore and do whatever they want. They introduce legislation that gives great powers to the government in revoking individual rights. For example, there is one person who is a "suspected" terrorist and was held in jail for over 2 years without being formally charged of a crime. This guy was in limbo for over 2 years in a US jail.This is exactly the type of thing that China does. This kind of thing was unheard of in the US before the iraq war and 911 but now it is accepted government practice. yes, you can do that. you will have to setup your domain to point to a server that is outside of florida and then have that page run a script that pings your "mirror" servers and then redirect to the mirror with the quickest ping time. if the server is down, you will not get a response. But you might have to set the timeout to something like 500ms because you dont want people to be waiting for your site to load. I did a quick google on php ping and found a script from hotscripts that can ping a server to tell if it is online or offline. http://www.hotscripts.com/category/scripts/php/scripts-programs/networking-tools/ping/ Once you know if it is online or offline, then all you have to do is redirect to the one with lowest ping that is online.

Before the war in Iraq, I would say that Canadian and US people were pretty similar and the two countries did not differ much in opinions. Everyone always regarded Canada as the 51st state. And to be honest, it was true. Canada's culture was really the same as American culture. People acted and thought like Americans.AFTER the war in Iraq, I've noticed the two countries go farther and farther apart. The war really divided Canadians and the Americans. Now a lot of Canadians think very poorly of Americans who support the war. In fact, the war has divided America itself. I don't think in all the history of the country has it been so divided in their views and attitudes (besides the civil war). So Canada is still the 51st state but belonging to the state of liberals (ie. the east and west coast).Canada has won much respect in the international community by NOT joining the war in Iraq. To make it simple, let's say 1 person signs up every day and each person pays $6 (their minimum "investment"). Since they don't pay out until after 12 days, that means there is $6 x 12 days = $72 in the pool. And on the 12th day, the first person who invested gets $8.64 + $6 original investment = $14.64. That means after the 1st payout, there is $63.36 left in the pool. From this point on, someone gets paid $14.64 every single day. See the chart below. This will prolong the program but does not change the fact that it will eventually die and those who haven't got paid yet will be out of luck. But, we know that eventually sign ups will slow down and as a result the program will fold. It is only a matter of time. If you were "unlucky" *cough*stupid*cough* enough to have put your earnings back into the program when it dies, then you will realize it is a scam. My advice, if you have made money that's great. Take your initial investment and bank it. Only reinvest your "earnings" because you never know when they will fold. If you are only reinvesting your "earnings" you won't have lost anything. Why should that matter? Web design has nothing to do with the concept of how standards work. If you must know, I have been in the web development field (professionally), for just about the last 15 years. In terms of browsers, I have gone from Gopher clients (not really a browser, or HTML, but it was all we had... ) to Mosaic to Netscape to IE and everything in between. Don't even try to tell me what I do and don't know about browsers and WC3 standards.

Having spaces in the CSS is, as everyone says, easier to read when you are developing your page. However, what I do when I am finished with the development, I actually go back and remove the spaces and carriage returns so everything is basically on 1 or 2 lines.Actually, I don't physically do this, there are programs that do it. If your style.css CSS sheet is large, it can increase your web page load time. Removing spaces and stuff can reduce the size. You don't gain much if your file is small but every bit helps.Even on your HTML pages, if you remove all the spaces, it can make a significant difference. I had one page that was like 60k and after removing the spaces, i was left with a 24k file. To the end user, the thing looked exactly the same.You can save an "uncompressed" version of your page for editing but upload the "compressed" version to the server. I cut my page load times from like 13 seconds (on 56k), down to around 6 seconds just using this technique.

I'll bet your server (ISP) has that page cached. This should correct itself. Try adding the www infront of the address to force the server to redownload the page. This shouldn't be a problem for long if it is the case.

I used to get well over 300 but i stopped updating my site for over 6 months. Even then, I wouldn't consider it high traffic.I would say right now if I leave my website alone it will always generate around 80-100 uniques just because it has been around for over a year now. Right now, even with 80-100 uniques a day, I am still making enough to payout every month from google.I have a pretty good CTR on my website. fluctuates around 8-15% So, the other lesson is not only high traffic but high QUALITY traffic so you can increase your CTR (click through rate).
