I'm not sure about booting linux via the external drive but i can answer a few of your other questionsyes you can have a windows partition on the external hdd (fat32 would probly best for better compatability with linux so it can access this stuff too) and have seperate partitions for linux.no when you connect the drive while running windows it won't try to run linux, in most cases it won't even be able to "see" the linux partitionshope that helps a bit

but ipods suck, there are plenty of better media playing devices out there, and ones that don't rely on such shoddy software like itunes. and they can be cheaper too.but microsoft will probarbly ruin this anyway, just like they end up ruining most things they get involved with.

yeah there were also arcade machines in some shops and things. its pretty cool. you could also play horse racing and the games in the casino there was some funky chicken game in space quest (whoa thats going back quite some time) in leisure suit larry you could also gamble in the casino. can't think of any others right now, i'm sure i'll think of some later tho

well i find myself in an opposite position, all the jobs i've done have paid everyone doing the same kind of job as me at the same rate of pay regardless of their gender, but what really annoys me is that there are people who don't do their job properly, or are nearly as productive as me but we all get the same money, sometimes i find myself doing the amount of work that two people would normally do without any recognition. i think robots should decide how much people earn and not other people.

it can be very hard for children to adjust to new places and people but its not impossible, and she may even end up enjoying it more than where she is now. forgetting your kids birthday is a bit harsh tho, most parents would never do that.

well as far as life in space is concerned there is definately life out there somewhere, maybe not intelligent life but some form of life, and perhaps there has been other intelligent life out there that has destroyed themselves like we are bound to do. as far as the conditions needed for life to exist, what do we know? we used to think that no life could exist that didn't sunlight or something then we found fish that lived on the ocean floor near the vents there, how do we know life has to be anything like us? People expect aliens to be bipeds like us, but they could have evolved from anything.with the way our planet is going we may have no choice but look to the stars for somewhere else to live when our planet becomes un-inhabitable. I rekon we'll eventually send generational colony ships out into space if we don't develop some faster than light spacships. its our destiny to keep exploring.

public_html and www are the same folder, its called an alias, you can put your files in to either one of these folders and it should work.

i did enjoy the halo gamesas far as a game that everyone has but me, CS is one, i don't mind the game but playing it against people that kill you in three seconds is just no fun, games like that should have a handicapping system or something.I also don't have any game that is only payed online, like those MMPORGs or whatever they're called, its just never been my thing.

i think it was blown way out of proportion, i've seen the video footage of what happened and camilla got into their bed and even said "you're going to turkey slap me aren't you?" (turkey slap is what they call it) then sits up after it happened and tells everyone in the room "I just got turkey slapped", they were all laughing and she didn't even leave the bed she stayed there. from what i hear its very similar to an incident last year when someone placed their bits on a womans shoulder or something.also theres talk of her "dobbing them in" when she has been heard to say a number of times that they were just being stupid like they always do, and even she thought it was a joke.I di like some of the reports i've heard come out about it all, at first there were reports that they had tried to climb over the wall of the house, others that claimed camilla had complained to big brother and that the boys would be charged, i've seen some reports that the boys would be going back into the house, its no surprise that people don't believe anything they see in the news or on the internet anymoreanyway big brother is a horrible show and should have been cancelled lonmg ago.

i don't understand why people bring children to adult movies, I was at the cinema recently watching "the break up" and there were children from the ages of about 8 upwards, not only would that be a waste of money buying them a ticket, but there was a kids movie in the next cinema (i think it was that cars movie) and the kids would have actually enjoyed themselves. I must say the kids that were in my cinema were pretty well behaved, i'm the kind of person that would yell at them if they didn't be quiet and probably throw things at them.

i've seen quite a few offers around the internet and even on this forum where you can "earn" a free domain but all the ones i looked into required so much effort I just ended up spending the couple of dollars it costs to register one myself, you could probably go and work at your job and earn the money to get one quicker than earning one via these "free" methods. i also go through certain periods of boredom with the internet and certain forums too, they can just be such wastes of time, i like Xisto though and i wish i could get on here to post while i'm at work (its been blocked by out IT department) because at home i've just been too busy or not in the mood. my hosting has lapsed quite a few times in the last few months which sucks and stops anyone viewing my site. a break may be just what some of us need

now most aussies will know what i'm talking about, the latest showings of johnny in his trackies was when he was watching the world cup games. he was wearing a green australia one, he seems to have the worlds biggest collection of them. has anyone else noticed this? and do you reckon its a truely aussie thing to do?

my favourite sports are probarbly cricket and rugby, there are plenty of sports i enjoy playing but not watching like soccer, tennis, golf, swimming, and then theres sports that just suck, like fencing and anything to do with horses.

well australia got beaten by italy like i was expecting, from what i've heard about the game we didn't play the second half like we should have, especially with the advantage we had. oh well theres always next time, and we did better than most people expected we would. Soccer is a funny game, i was reading some reports today which were saying its one of the only games where the ref can have more influence than the teams themselves, especially because the games are usually so low scoring. they need robot referees or something maybe.

I'd heard of them and agree, when punk style bands sign up with big labels they can change quite a lot, the music may sound similar but things will start being censored by the label and before you know it you're listening to another top 40 pop loser who used to be cool. the whole point of punk is to reel and not just go along with what others say.anyway i'd just leave them be and go find another band to enjoy.

i agree with your points, people that phsically abuse animals are bad, so are those people that treat animals as "live toys" like the ditsy girls you see carrying a dog in a handbag, dressing it up in clothes, ITS A DOG, take it for a walk, play fetch with it, don't degrade it like you do. I think you should need to get a licence and if you breach the terms of that licence they give out very harsh penalties, no animal should suffer at the hands of a human.
