it is unfortunate in todays society when you come across immature people like this who are afraid of homosexuality but "love" lesbians. These people may be affected by religion, but most people pick up things like this from their parents (I must say I'm more tolerant than my parents tho).Do you mind if I ask what age group you and your friends fall into? And also where you are from. I'm 23 myself, from sydney, which is a pretty tolerant place most of the time. I say "if it doesn't hurt me, whats the problem?"

well in no particular orderHalo 1 - the first game i played on my xbox, I enjoyed the storyline on this game and didn't play another game on my xbox till i finished it. that second game I played happened to be:Halo 2 - yes, it had all the things that I enjoyed plus more, more weapons, play as two races, more vehicles, more everything..Goldeneye 64 - The best FPS of its time, entertaining missions which ranged from easy to damn near impossible, and me and my mates still play multiplayer on occasionDoom - Yes the original, one of the very first FPS games I played, loved all the senseless killing, and the crazy monsters.Duke Nukem 3D - Not really much of an improvement in its day as far as playablility is concerned but dukes attitude definately made this one fun to play, never did get much multi-player in on this one but what little i did was enjoyable.

Google isn't as effeciant as it used to be, lots of dodgy websites cheat the system and try to get themselves placed at the top of the search results when they have nothing to do with what you are actually after. Google does need to concentrate on its search engine again as well as its side projects, if you ask someone "what is google?" they'll reply "its a search engine" and that is what people really rely on google for. Still I must say I rarely have any better luck on other search engines in finding what i'm after.

Blue Background And Bar...no Windows?
terminal2k replied to WeaponX's topic in Websites and Web Designing
lol weaponx, didn't you know that either re-booting or re-installing windows solves 99.9% of all pc problems today. Yes it certainly could have been the driver or some associated file corrupted and by swapping in an identical model card the same driver set could have been used, at least it works now.I must say i'm surprised at the number of people who keep saying "it's your monitor dude" even after you told them it wasn't.... -
Recover Admin Password For Win2kdcserver?
terminal2k replied to jedipi's topic in Websites and Web Designing
i've used tools to recover a NT based system admin passwords, boot the system using a bootdisc/livecd and then copy off the sams and brute force them to death. hardest part is finding the tools to do it for you, i remember when I did it I had to try many different tools before i found a set that worked. -
google, you are a genius. this is a brilliant idea, integrate it with the browser and have the logs available anywhere, IM and e-mail should be one and the same system really these days, you can chat in real time if you're both online or leave e-mail style messages for when you come back online. It should also be completely interchangeable, users of MSN should be able to message users of ICQ and others. that?s the worst part about IM software these days, you don't get to choose the software because it works well, you end up choosing the one that all your friends/colleagues use.

Google Working On Own Distribution Of Linux
terminal2k replied to beeseven's topic in Operating Systems
i wouldn't say it would be set to compete with windows, maybe it will be a live-cd with a whole bunch of google tools (a gmail interface, google talk, earth, etc.) pre-loaded, that way its something that is easy to use (something any widely released software needs to be). I must say tho, that doing something like this could show the genral public how easy to use linux can be, and that in turn could spell competition for microsoft.... -

Favorite Gaming Moment wether it was in a fps, rts or a mmo
terminal2k replied to Mr.Duckie's topic in Computer Gaming
my favourite gaming momements are at the end of zelda games, the satifaction of completing a massive quest is good.the end of all quest style games is good fun, the final fantasy games were good to finish -
lol I thought i was god when i learned to do the exact same thing, every computer i would use would end up with terminal2k having 1 second minesweeper scores. it is amazing tho how games like this from many years ago don't need super special graphics and billions of bytes of ram and a giant processor to be fun. Maximum enjoyment, minimum fuss.

Woman's Arms And Legs Amputated hospital wont say why.
terminal2k replied to beeseven's topic in General Discussion
ahhh reading all this doesn't help my fear of doctors, I don't trust them because when you are unconcious you don't know what they are doing... like CUTTING YOUR ARMS AND LEGS OFF... if I woke up like that in hosptial i'd sue, and spend the money i get on hitmen to go and kill the doctors who had done that to me. Thats ruining another persons life, like when people get raped, with all the emotional problems and trauma. -
Your Favorite Rpg Game and why its your favorite
terminal2k replied to XxPrinceValoxX's topic in Computer Gaming
i think everyone loves the final fantasy series of games, i've played through most of them (one thru eight) and would have to say that number seven definatly gets my vote. Its a brilliant game. I did enjoy going back and playing the earlier games to see how the gameplay has evolved. stupid sepiroth.also my runner up would have to be chrono trigger, with an amazing storyline and great characters this one is a must play for the old school rpg fans, would have to be one of the finest super nintendo games released. go frog.....also a lot of people don't consider the zelda games true RPG's, they are in my opinion, just a different style really, my favourite was in zelda 2 where you earnt experience to upgrade your health and magic. -
What Country To Do You Live In, And Rate It.
terminal2k replied to Fu Still Better's topic in General Discussion
I live in australia and would probably rate it 7 out of 10the main points for australia are things like the beautiful weather (always time to go to the beach or play some cricket), the sport (cricket and rugby), the people (we're all laid back and friendly) and the music (oz hip hop is my favourite music)and the negative stuff: its too expensive, sydney is too crowded, too expensive -
i don't do much picture editing these days but a few years ago when I did I used Paint Shop Pro rather than photoshop as I found it much easier to use, i guess it all comes down to what you need to do with the software, some people find windows paint covers all their artistic needs.

I thought they were funny the first time I saw them, but after using one I think they can be incredibly useful, i wouldn't want to do a large amount of shopping with one of those, but it makes a good alternative to "express" checkouts. They are much easier when you are paying with cash as signatures from credit cards must be confirmed by a person. I think we'll see a lot more things like this in the future, with products tagged with RFID chips or something similar so you don't need to scan anything.

Water Shut Off But We Paid The Bill I am covered in soap
terminal2k replied to brandice's topic in The Vent
I don't think that the soap or shampoo will kill you if you don't wash it off straight away, i've never had the water turned off on me before (water is paid by our landlord ) you could always keep some bottles of water handy in case something happens like this again, to help you rinse off.. -
AVG Free is what I have been using for some years, I've found it less buggy than some of the better known brands, it operates smoothly, updates are quick and plentiful, and it hasn't let any virus get into my machine yet. Being free it sits right in my ideal price bracket. I have this installed on both of my computers, and my mum's, brothers and fiance's computers to keep them safe. i'd rate it 9/10

i feel sorry for you omar, i got to play the 360 months ago at the atomic magazine expo in sydney, they had about a dozen 360s on loan from microsoft all hooked up to nice high def screens (they also had 30 or so normal xboxes and plenty of pc's for lan gaming. It is definately an enjoyable console the only thing that will stop me buying one when they finally make it here is the price, i'm very broke at the moment and have been for a while. I'll have to survive on my normal xbox for now.
-
Now i've seen quite a few different modifications to xboxes around, there are a lot of cosmetic modifications (changing cases and colours, adding LCD panels etc) mine is standard in that respect, what i've delved into is the software side of things. Its actually quite amazaing what can be achieved with the xbox, quite a few of the features that microsoft is promoting the xbox 360 as having can be attained using a regular xbox. Mine for example has a nice logitech wireless controller, it has a bunch of different software installed, the most notable being the XBMC (xbox media center), this makes your xbox behave similar to a windows XP media centre edition pc. it can not only play dvds and cds, but also stream content from the internet or other pc's on a local area net. You can copy things onto the xbox HDD and play them from there, and it supports a variety of different formats (mp3, divx, xvid etc..)Also on my box i have emulators to play all my classic console games such as the nes and snes games, and there is even an emulator for psx games. theres a web browser available also (limited support, no java, no flash support) but being able to access some websites from the xbox can be handy (most notably going on gamefaqs to get codes or assistance in a game)the one thing that i have yet to try on the xbox is running linux on it, has anyone had any experience in this, or other stories of what you've done with your xbox, post in here and share your experience.

well its a bit like the world that children see today, young girls growing up seeing britney spears and her friends all dressing and acting like sluts and that is how they behave, then there is all the media attention on being gay and impressionable kids think "OMG i just looked at a person of the same sex and found them attractive i must be gay now" I don't think its any one particular groups fault but we're introducing our kids to all this at way too young an age, kids need to go back to playing games with each other and not being on the internet and watching tv.
