Put them up someplace on the net where I can download them and I will give it a try. I have several graphics programs, maybe one of them will open them up so I can save them as JPGs for you. Then I can put them up for you to download.

What, you couldn't use one of the 18 small buttons Trap 17 has to offer? Just kidding. Yours is rather nice if I do say so. I used their purplish one because it matches my site scheme better.

Hello BloodyPriest and welcome from one of the elders on the Trap 17 forum. My, what a handle. What inspired you to use such? If your post content is imaginative and interesting you should have no problem getting hosted, but you will have to continue posting to maintain your site. So, I hope your infrequent visits to the internet isn't compromising in this matter. Good Luck! -

Hello Budmand84 and welcome from one of the elders on the Trap 17 forum. How about telling us a little about yourself? One liners like this are considered spam. If you want to get hosted, your posts need to have more content.

Thanks for the information, everybody. I am glad that somebody else besides me has gotten this result. I have found my problem since Tues night as well. I am using an accelerator program through my ISP that includes a pop-up blocker. Evidently it must break the link. This would explain the situation. I don't know how such things work. My previous pop-up blocker must have functioned in a different manner, because it doesn't cause the error scroll thingy to come up. Thusly, I have disabled the ISP blocker and gone back to my original one. THANKS AGAIN EVERYBODY!

This is what comes up when I click for my assistant. It seems to be an overlay of some kind and the text lines scroll on and on. This represents only the first thing that it says. As you can see it blocks my access to everything by my last 10 posts including the ability to close it down or move it. It only disappears when I change pages. Does anybody have a clue?

If You Were To Get Tattoo's What would you get?
Mich replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in General Discussion
If I were to get a tatoo, it would be a pretty rose with no text on the inside of my left ankle to cover a scar I have there. I have placed a temporary tatoo there on occasion and I like it. But, I have never dared to make it permanent because there are times when it isn't appropriate. -

Yes, a very good suggestion. Perhaps the answer is in color coding the text. That wouldn't slow down things any more than they already are. I am on a very sssssllllllooooowwww connection with a 6 year old puter. So, I can appreciate your situation.

Hmm. What a selection. I like most of them but I have to pick, sooo. I vote for Tom. I love the render and the way it is complimented in the background colors.

Hello and welcome from one of the elders on the Trap 17 forum. And I am on of the 50+ that jlhaslip alludes to. I live in Michigan, USA and am into family, genealogy (we trace back to the Mayflower passengers on my mother's side), and I used to sell on eBay and Yahoo until their fees became so high. You will love it here. People are very helpful and friendly. The hosting is reliable. Your post content is very informative. Follow the rules and continue to post interesting topics. Good Luck!

What kind of people do you know? This is not "common" by any means. I have had many years of driving experience and never gotten a moving violation let alone a speeding ticket. This is a serious thing, dude. Speed limits are posted to afford "safe" traffic flow though areas according to the neighborhood use. Going 12-13 mph over the posted limit is not safe. Yes it was in the wee hours of the morning, but things can happen very quickly when you least expect them. Now for my advice, zach101. Tell you parents post haste. You will probably lose your driving privileges for a period of time, as well as have to pay the fine yourself (or at least reimburse your patents who might foot it for you up front). Count your blessing that nothing more serious happened. Look at this as a learning experience, and do as jlhaslip suggests, save the speed for the freeway.

I read your title, Can toads (as in preserving) eat vegetables (as in eat your vegetables). OK, maybe I am a little quirky today. I wouldn't be surprised if toads ate whatever they could get their tongues on, but as already said. Veggies may not be good for them.

What Is The Craziest Thing You Have Ever Done?
Mich replied to CroSpartacus's topic in General Discussion
Well the craziest experience I ever had was not of my doing exactly, but I was a participant. I was a passenger in a car and the driver was the real culprit. He went around the crossing guards at a RR crossing when a train was coming. I don't have to tell you that the seats were a little wet after the incident. It was reeeaally close. -
You have my sympathy , BOAW. You are doing the right thing. Talking about it will help you let go of your pain. I have lost several wonderful pets over the years as well as a couple of horses that I grew to love too much. My last pet, my Siamese cat, was with us over 21 years. I consoled myself by creating a memorial to him on my personal web site. My Memorial Writing or talking about these losses is very theraputic. Perhaps you could write a story about your cat's life and the characteristics that made him so special. I managed to hold my special cat while he departed as I had my poodle a number of years back. It was very difficult, but I felt I had to do it for them. I also have a page on my personal site about dealing with death; albiet human. That Webpage Being an older person, I have found the need to learn to accept death as it comes. When you lose your parents, it certainly puts you in touch with your mortality. And that isn't any fun.

Where in California are you? I am from Sacramento originally. Native born. Albus is also in the Sacramento area.

No, I don't mind your asking. It is a handle that I and my daughter have used mostly on the internet. We live in Michigan. It is not gender specific, which can be helpful in some cases.

Sixth Sense Experience Has something like this ever happened to you?
Mich replied to Mich's topic in General Discussion
Aha, anwiii found my post. Thank you for the input. I too have had experiences with some spiritual beings, for lack of a better description. I actually hear their voice and reply to them. When this happens, I try to acknowledge their presence by saying hello. The ocurrence is usually very quick and fleeting. It is truly comforting when I recognize the voice and know who it is. So far it has always been somebody who has passed from this earthly bond. It gives me hope that there is really something beyond this life. I find it very difficult to believe that humans are the ultimate superior beings. And how conceited of us to think we are. -
Since my vent about BMG Music, I have encountered even more inefficiency. On May 31st I jumped on line to make an on-line bill payment. I sent a check for full payment of my credit card account with MBNA Visa that was due on June 10th. My bank, National City, "guaranteed" payment by June 6th. On June 8th I checked on-line with MBNA to make sure the payment was received, but it didn't show on my account. So I called MBNA to inquire if they had received it. They said they post payments within 24 hours as a rule and if it wasn't posted, they had no way of checking if it had been received. On June 9th I called National City Bank to see if they had indeed sent the payment. I was told by them that the payment was "guaranteed" delivered by June 6th and if it wasn't posted, the payment was probably lost in the mail. I learned that the payee determines the type of payment transactions they accept. That is to say, some payees will accept electronic transfers and others want checks in the mail. MBNA chose the check method. Now this is important people. THE NATIONAL CITY BANK'S "GUARANTEE" DOESN'T INCLUDE DELAYS DUE TO FIRE, FLOOD, OR US MAIL DELIVERY FAILURE. So the they wouldn't "guarantee" anything and left me hung out to dry. Not only would it cost me $29 to stop payment on the check that they wrote; they wouldn't even send a letter to the payee letting them know that the payment was sent. I was told to send MBNA a print of my on-line payment history to prove this. I would have to also pay any late fees to the credit card company, which is $39 at MBNA. I called MBNA again on June 10th, my due date, and my payment still hadn't been posted. When I check my bank account on-line for my payment history to send to MBNA, it showed a payment June 6th to MBNA. Now I was confused. This didn't prove that the payment was sent on time. Since banks are not available on weekends I had to wait until Monday to talk to them again. When I called the National City Bank on Monday, June 12th, I was told that the date showing on the payment history is the date they "guarantee" ( this is laughable) delivery, not the send date. The check had been sent out June 1st. So, I called MBNA again and talked to a supervisor. I told her of the situation and she said that the late fee had already posted because the payment was past due. I reminded her that I have been a customer of theirs for 10 years now and have an excellent payment record with them. She said she could remove the late fee if I would agree pay interest on the account total from the due date until they received their payment. This would give me time to sort out things. Now I pay the balance off monthly, so I am not accustomed to paying interest, but this was much less than $39 so I said OK. I also told her I was going to wait one more day to make sure the check was lost before I paid my bank $29 to stop payment. Well guess what folks?! When I checked on-line the morning of June13th with MBNA, my payment had been posted as of June12th. THE TRANSACTION DATE WAS JUNE 5TH. This means my check had been in their hands all this time and they had taken 7 days, or 1 week, to be process it. Hmm, what every happened to the "post it in 24 hours"? All that fuss, muss, bother and worry was for naught. Somebody wasn't doing their job. There is no sign of the late fee showing on my account, which I suppose automatically reversed when someone typed in the transaction date. But come on, this could have cost me $70 through no fault of mine. I sent payment on time. With all this ado, I could have prematurely put a stop payment on the check. Now that really would have steamed me even more. SO, BEWARE PEOPLE! READ YOUR BANK ON-LINE BILL PAYMENT GUARANTEE CLOSELY. If they exclude US Mail delivery failure, you might as well put the payment in the mail yourself to payees who won't accept electronic transfers.
