Hi Sasuki, Welcome to the trap 17 forum from one of the elder members. You will be very helpful here if you know all that coding. I am still an amateur at it and may tap you for info some time. People here are friendly and very helpful. I have been here since January. Been building my site and now I have some customers to help build sites of their own. That is more than I ever had at my old host site. Traffic here is better by far.

Life Changing Experiences Experiences which changed your thinking life
Mich replied to alive's topic in General Discussion
Life changing experiences happen every day of ones life. Everything you do or say shapes what happens the next moment. They can be so BIG you notice them when they happen and are thankful. Or they can be so small you don't notice them until you reflect on them after you experience the outcome. You are who you are because of where you were when. Life is an ever-changing experience. Thanks for the sharing, OpaQue -
Bad Experience With Cars While On Vacation Its all Fords fault
Mich replied to dazappa's topic in General Discussion
Yeh, I am a die hard Chevy fan. They don't say Found On Road Dead and Fix Or Repair Daily for nothing. -
Now that is what I call a miracle. You had a guardian angel watching you that day. One that could swim, in fact. I cannot imagine pulling a fish hook of any kind out of my skin. It must have been excruciating pain not to mention the blood loss. I couldn't have done it even if I were drunk. I bet you thank God every day. I got kicked in the face by a horse years ago. I am so thankful to be alive, too.

Sixth Sense Experience Has something like this ever happened to you?
Mich replied to Mich's topic in General Discussion
Well, I am back now and disappointed that this post didn't get more participation. 49 views and only 1 reply. Guess the subject matter isn't interesting enough. Well, I tried. -
Avalon:0 Se?or Maniac:0 Saint-Michael:0 itsmyard:0 Beagle:3 savge17:0 Beagle also gets my vote for basically the same reasons. The whole effort is well done. Savge17 maybe looks like something is missing from the right side. I would rather see the area of the sig entirely filled. I don't get the subject of itsmyard's sig, sorry. Guess I just missed another opportunity to try my hand at a sig contest. Been away for about 3 weeks.

Yes, as mayank says, tell us more about yourself. Welcome to the forum. You will enjoy your time spent here. There are a lot of friendly helpful people here. Are you trying to get hosted here? If so, what is the theme of your future site?

Very nice site. Neat, organized and attractive. I even went to the trouble of using my zoom option in the View menu so I could read all the interesting stuff. This is not a criticism. My eyes are old and don't see so well anymore. As you can see, I don't use the standard text on here that everybody else uses. I really have to squint to see the posts. I size my posts so I can read them better. I found the content interesting even tho it is all beyond my realm. Keep up the good work.

Yes, there is definitly a "friend zone". I experienced this phenomenon while in college. The guy I chummed with and shared a ride to classes with, was like a big brother to me. We had shared thoughts, ideas, troubles and etc. for so long that we had grown very familiar with each other. He eventually made it known that he wanted our relationship to be romantic. Unfortunately, I just couldn't go there. After all, he seemed like a brother to me. Our relationship did not cease, however. We remained friends up until we were both married to other people, and I moved away across the country from him. We didn't communicate at all over the years. We recently were reunited at a class reunion and both cried when we saw each other. He is still my big brother to me. It was a wonderful few hours we spent bringing each other up to date on our life experiences. Even my husband commented "What a good friend he must have been."

I am going away for a while and thought I would leave this for everyone to ponder. This is a true story, written by me, about my experience after my mother passed away. If you have had a sixth sense experience, please add it to this post so I can read about it when I get back. Mother's Journey It was a gorgeous sunshiny day in June, late in the afternoon, when we took Mother's cremated remains to the Odd Fellow's Cemetery in Sacramento, California. As we walked to the grave site I noticed the handsome redwoods stood reverently, as if out of respect to the many resting places they sheltered. There was a small opening dug in the earth above Grandfather's burial place. Mother had asked to be buried near her Father. We now would place her in the care of Grandfather and God. We talked a while and the group slowly dwindled down to just the original four of us, my Brother, Step-father, Husband, and me. As we made our way back to the car, I left the lane to take a closer look at one of the redwoods. There seemed to be several different species on the grounds. I plucked off a sprig off one hoping to identify it later. As I turned to go back to the group, I heard a rustling overhead and looked up to see a large owl fly to another redwood across the lane. The bough that it had landed on bent and swayed from its weight. It was a brown speckled owl with a heart shaped white face. I called to the others to look at the beautiful owl. The owl and I made eye contact and a feeling came over me that I hadn't experienced before. We made a connection as it paused there on that bough. Then it gracefully flew off high into the sky away from our sight. I remarked to my brother, John, that it was almost like Mother's spirit was watching us. He came back at me with, "You don't think that Mom was reincarnated as an owl?" "No," I told him, "it is like her spirit was there in the owl; I felt something when it looked at us." He teased, "Well, I guess nobody will criticize you if you choose to believe that." It came to me that I was acquainted with a Native American back home in Michigan and I told my brother that I was going to inquire of him the significance of the owl to the Native American. The feeling stayed with me. I told other people about it for days afterward. When we returned home, I looked up my acquaintance. I asked about the owl's significance, without relating anything else to him. His reply stunned me. He said that it is associated with death. Then he went on to tell me that there were basically three interpretations of the owl's significance. One is that it is a "warning of a death to come." Another is that it "brings death." The third is that it "carries the spirit of the dead to Heaven." This depended on the regional origin of the tribe. The tribes in the northwest region, he explained believe the latter. I then told him my story. Both of us smiled through tears. I told him that I had wondered what that owl was doing out at that time of day since they are nocturnal creatures. His quiet reply was, "They usually are not out during the day, unless they have a job to do." I told him that my brother's teasing had made me question my feelings; and that I was spooked by my interpretation of the event. "I was right, wasn't I?", I asked him. He said, "You should never second guess your instinctive feelings, they are usually right." I have related this story frequently since then and have met with skepticism from some. For those skeptics, perhaps I may temper your skepticism with the following. I will give you that it might possibly have been coincidence that I spooked that owl from his sleep in the tree when I walked under it. Please consider: Why did I pick that tree with hundreds in the cemetery? I had passed other trees along the lane before walking over to that particular one. Why did the owl pause in his flight? When the owl looked back at our group, why did I feel a connection so strongly? Why did it come to me so immediately to search out the significance of the owl from a Native American? If I had not thought to ask a person of this particular ethnic background, my experience would never have been reinforced. Could this whole sequence of events have been mere coincidence? God is omnipotent and exists in everything he created. If I choose to see this happening as a sign from God that my Mother's spirit was with us that day and was safely chauffeured to Heaven by his creation, the Barn Owl; what do you think? God sends us many signs that we do not recognize. This one was received and understood.

I am a photography hobbiest also. I tried taking photographs at horse shows and selling them to the contestents, but it wasn't a very profitable venture. Catching horses on the move is really tricky. Posing them is another fun job. Sooo, I now try for more land and seascapes, birds, wildlife in my backyard, and pictures of vacations we take. I have a Pentax SF10. I use my 720 Zoom lens the most. I also have a Polaroid digital camera that thinks batteries are free. Eats them up like candy.

Darn , I missed out. Designed one last night to give it a try. Today I had a problem with my puter. I lost a graphics driver and spent all day trying to find how to reinstall it. Thankfully I finally found the right info file to get it done. Just got on line tonight. Maybe next time Albus. I am going away for 2 weeks come Thursday. Here it is anyway.

I had a similar problem in high school and college. We didn't have girls interscholastic competitions back then tho. In college I was school champ at Badminton, so I guess you could say I was very good at it also. I am too short for basketball, but volleyball, baseball (hardball), field hockey, and track (100yd dash) were things I enjoyed and did fairly well at. Especially 100yd dash. Later in life I took up horseback riding, yes it is considered a sport; however non competitive.

I can agree with this. Considering the choices I would pick Robin Williams. I nearly laughed my self sick watching "Good Morning Vietnam". But I feel that Jerry Lewis is a great comedian also. In my younger days, he was the funniest man around. Then there is of course Shelley Berman and Bob Newhart. Or how about Bill Cosby? One has to consider the variety of humor around.

My site contains web sets I have designed for people to use on personal sites. There are over 100 to choose from. Each set has a ZIP file for downloading the set, which includes the HTML and FONT (where appropriate) for that set. The only thing I ask is that people link back to my site at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ dot com. I also provide backgrounds and tiles for use as backgrounds. Doing these graphics is my hobby in my retirement. I do all my own htmls for the site as well. Take a look if you are interested.

Welcome to the forum Slay, from one of the elders of the site. The only part of Star Wars I know about is Jame Earl Jones. You are not a geek just because you believe in aliens, sasquatch and wierd things. I believe anything is a possibility in this universe and nobody calls me a geek. So you are in Minnesota. Well I am across the lake in Michigan, right on the coast. We have similar winter weather. Keep making nice posts like this and you will get points really fast, if that is your aim. So many newbies put up one-liners that don't tell us much about them. Your post is very informative.

Long Time Sigger First Time Requester
Mich replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
You only mentioned Red in specific so I took it and ran. Couldn't think of anything appropriate for a sub text. This is my very first try at a sig for somebody else. The only other one I have done is my own. Strictly amateur, but what the heck; we all have to start somewhere.
