  1. oh ok... so it's maintenance time. i understand. thanks opaque
  2. looking good is just a derivative of what people want to achieve when they try to lose weight. there are some that want to impress others, but that's just a part of the gratification that they want to get, probably as a result of their efforts in losing weight. who doesn't want to be acknowledged for the things they've done? the main goal of those who try to lose weight is, like what the two people before me had said, simply for health reasons. it's only natural for someone who wants to live longer and stay more healthy to be conscious about their weight and how they look. not only that it changes the way they feel deep inside, but also it changes the way people look at them. it's ignorant to say that people should just accept themselves the way they are and don't try to lose weight anymore. basically you're just saying that they shouldn't try to improve for the better.
  3. hey... what's with the avatar?

  4. welcome to spam patrol!

  5. lol it's cool actually. yes i like it :D

  6. vbritton? you have changed your nick, right?

  7. sorry for this kind-of-a-stupid-question, but what is an organic food and what is it's difference between the usual ones? sorry. i've heard of it before, but i only thought it was just the ordinary ones. as for the cooking forums, yeah i'd gladly participate. members could share cooking tips and recipes (although i don't know if others would participate, i know i do). but in the case it couldn't be created, it would be fine to put the topics on appropriate subforums like what buff mentioned. i love to cook and i'd love to see some tips and techniques in cooking and recipes as well. as for my food intake, i am leaning towards eating more healthy foods, and basically more veggies. i'm actually quite comfortable now not eating meat (especially pork and beef). i'm actually comfortable eating oatmeal now, that i hated like years ago (and after i found out that it could be very helpful in losing weight and "making you feel full").
  8. i feel like i need to do the same. hell month has just started and requirements in school has been piling up. i need to focus.i really need not worry about my hosting account getting deleted because i have enough credits to last me almost half a year. to my newly-found job as a spam patroller, i'll try to drop by every now and then and check up on the posts.unfortunately it's kinda sad that most of the people i've been talking to in the shoutbox are leaving or getting busy with a lot of stuff, which reminded me of how much i've been too attached to the shoutbox, that i should know that i still have a life outside trap--and that is to finish my tasks at school, and hopefully to graduate.i'll try to drop by once in a while. ciao everyone.
  9. i've read about this on my professor's blog, although i don't remember which version is installed in my blog. eh??? i rarely have time to update my blog, what more to upgrade it. it's kind of a hassle, especially since there are almost always updates to their program. i mean in just a span of a day they could probably jump from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2. my point is not everyone has the luxury of time to update their files, and if problems like these arise, it's very alarming.oh well.
  10. lol. would you have reacted the same if she's a brunette? you have to at least try to control yourself. or if you can't, use it as an advantage, you know, study harder so she'll notice you. teachers give credits to those who work really hard, although please don't take that in a sleazy way. what i meant was at least you get some gratification from your teacher.but if you really like her, you could like talk to her outside the school premises. unless she really treats you as a student and nothing more.
  11. it's kinda weird that the moon looked too small in your images. and it looked like it was just a crescent moon and not an eclipse. but seriously, thanks for the pics.i'm gonna take a look at some of the pics on the news.
  12. i can do that, although i admit that i'm pretty much attached to the computer because i spend most of my time doing a lot of school stuff, and of course, visiting trap. i remember having a withdrawal symptom after not being able to shout 2 consecutive shouts in the shoutbox for an entire week. it drove me crazy (although i think i have controlled myself for a bit). so i really understand what they're trying to point out.but the problem with that is it's on the 24th. it's a saturday, so i'm probably going to be in the front of the computer at that day unless i'm pretty much tired the day before (because i know we're going to have a demo in one of my subjects in school, and it's the last day of classes too). you know, the feeling that you've been beaten up and all of the sudden you just happen to doze off instantly after lying down.
  13. it must be a typo error. and if it's not, he's probably confused with the difference between a solar and lunar eclipse. oh and i forgot to mention that i missed it 30 minutes before it starts here, i fell asleep. isn't that great?
  14. that would start in about an hour from now. anyway, i'm in the farther part on the east side, so by the time it reaches the umbra zone, i won't be able to see it anymore since it's morning here during that time.if anyone's nice enough to send me some pics if you're going to take a shot at it. i would really love to see some uber-cool red moon.good thing lunar eclipses happen frequently compared to solar eclipses. the next lunar eclipse would be in 2008 if i'm not mistaken.
  15. lol. i wonder where the blue screen of death fits it. but then again most xp users rarely encounter that anymore.bill gates needs to think before he says something. who knows what would be thrown back at him
  16. your master was here gmt +8

  17. lol any newly-developed website experience bandwidth usage such as yours. you're pretty lucky you get to go past the 50MB mark in just a few months. when i started, i only consume like 10MB i think. i only add a music section so my bandwidth gets consumed at least for 100MB per month. anyone hopes for their websites to have enough traffic
  18. well as long as you have the technical know-how about fixing computers, then i think it's fine. for profit? even better. i personally would want to have my mom's laptop taken to the profs since it still has warranty, and besides they know how the laptop works better than i do. and did i say i suck at fixing stuff? i can't even touch the cpu of this computer that i'm using, that's why when problems arise, i end up freaking out
  19. well for one the clouds you see up in the sky is made up of dust and water vapor. if we put it in an analogy, imagine a pot of boiling liquid. when the water evaporates, the vapor rises up to the air. if the lid is placed on, the vapor condenses on the top of the lid so when you open the lid, you see some droplets of water on the lid. that's how dust works... i mean clouds. the dust becomes the agent that collects water vapor and allows it to condense then later on, when the clouds can't handle all the vapor, it releases it in the form of the rain. so you might want to think twice before drinking that rain water or else. that same process goes with snow, only once up in the air, the freezing temperature allows the water vapor to instantly turn into ice.there's also what we call erosion where the soil or earth is blown by the wind. these minute particles of soil is dust. it could be helpful in a way like gradually changing a landscape over time, some may help in covering up dead creatures that lie on the ground to allow decay, just like what salamangkero had mentioned.that's grade school science for you.
  20. i was hoping you could add how each words are pronounced, unless they are pronounced the way they are read. the problem with your approach is that you could be teaching us the words yet we do not know if we're saying it correctly.
  21. heya sm! long time no hear.@evil_man, if you look closely, the images are numbered so it describes how the final image was made.@sm, i kinda didn't like the image. it's too blurry(?) i guess. didn't see if it's really venom or something.take care!
  22. pretty quick to jump the gun? dude, you're the one who goes on ranting of something as shallow as that. most people... no make that MATURE people would know what is wrong with what you've said and done. just because someone else made the joke, doesn't make you "clean". it's just one way of spreading the negativity. one more thing, what is funny to you might not be funny to someone else. that's why i said, watch what you say, because you might offend other people. wishing for other people's ill-being and hope that they become unfortunate? jeez, for someone who doesn't know that person, you're pretty much judgmental. i can't believe there are people in this forum who can be so immature, frankly speaking. do you even know what you're talking about?! or do you want me to pinpoint every WRONG statement in what you have just said? like what i've said, teachers are there to HELP STUDENTS ENHANCE THEIR SKILLS WHICH WOULD HELP THEM LATER IN LIFE... well, since i am talking to an immature kid, i think there is no sense in stuffing you with all these stuff. apparently you won't understand... hopefully later in life, but with that kind of attitude, i think you're a hopeless case. you wanna know why i am frustrated? it's because my mom is a teacher. speaking of her as my mom, she might not be the best person in the world, but that's besides the point. but speaking of her as a teacher, i have high respects for what she does. in fact i have high respects for teachers and professors, because what they do is a noble cause, just as doctors help and cure the sick and nurses tend to the sickly people. they try their best to help kids, and i say ANNOYING KIDS, with learning so in the end these kids would be better off in life. and here you go rant as if teachers are the worst people in the world? tsk. watch what you say. apparently some people don't know the importance of hard work. again, watch what you say.
  23. for real? wow. yay! more free stuff lol. thanks opaque and buff! :Phmm my only problem now is getting a domain name!!! yay!
  24. exactly. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that people who prepare for an upcoming exam end up with much better results. it's only in the end when the results are given that students who didn't get a high score complain that the exam is difficult than admitting that they didn't review on it beforehand. one shouldn't rely on luck to pass an exam, it takes a certain amount of effort on your part. speaking of exams, i'll be having mine a few hours later, but i believe i have acquired some knowledge about it and if i did ever get a low score, it's because i crammed
