  1. Friday. Start of the weekend really , especially round the afternoon when everyone just settles down at school, work, gardening or whatever you happen to be doing throughout the week. Everyone just lets it go, even in the past where some small businesses gets together at the end of the week for a beer or two.
  2. Since a update, have to say mainly posting on forums, playing MMOs (eg World of Warcraft)/CS. Also PM on Messy, etc. Of course the emails would always come into play every visit online
  3. Not a bad idea, yet I'm not against it either. Would be very ideal for countries which have a swindling population for reasons other than war. For example, like those in a recession.
  4. Have to argue a tie between Wolfenstein 3D (which started the 3D games) and Doom in regard to classics. Games like Unreal tournament and its succesors, and Halflife and its successors for example took the 3D engine even further. Starcraft isnt really that bad either, but hadnt played it as much to make a full judgement. As for MMOs, World of Warcraft would have to be the first MMO to make a actual impact, of course there are others like Everquest and Ultima which started it all. It would be interesting with the flurry of MMOs to come out within the next 12 months, including the next WoW expansion, Wrath of the lich king.
  5. Get a person you know well to guard ya in case of the stalker getting too close . Anyways I'd probably suggest taking a few courses or so, get to know a bit more indepth about web design, the back-end, layouts and so forth. Some experience with small or medium retailers do indeed help as well.
  6. Always wanted to play the piano when I was young in school, but at the time seemed out of reach for me to have private lessons. Yeah, eventually we did get to learn it at school, but would've been onto another hobby, or playing sport by the time I eventually had the piano lessons. Far too expensive to have private piano lessons, but getting lessons at school for a band or something, of course there had to be standards met to get em
  7. IPod would be the market leader out there right now. But of course, there are other MP3 players and brands, creative for example, iriver and so forth which are just as good. I guess that IPod must have the marketing power and skill to get their product out there, as opposed to the other brands. Although the IPod shuffle is pretty handy when it comes to its small size, despite no display of the song playing and the like. But still small and stylish, which i guess is pretty popular courtesy of their marketing. As for personal preference however, I got a mp3 player from one of my old workplaces sometime ago, 512mb with another 512mb card in, still use it to this day.
  8. Pretty much charges or adds to the credit account when purchasing and receiving payments for example. I've worked for a company that had Paypal as one of the major purchasing points at one point.
  9. English fluently, Tagalog somewhat okay, but not as fluent. I have had studied French, Japanese and Italian in school, but never really was into it that much to remember most of it. To further add, I probably wont remember much from French, Japanese and Italian apart from the hellos and goodbyes (Coniecha (sp), Buon Giorno, Au revoir, etc).
  10. Although I'm not from the US, I'd probably have to predict Obama, although Clinton (the Mrs) is a dark horse if she gets into the presidential race. Some things holding clinton back is that she's lovable and she also has enemies.
  11. I used to read comic books when I was a kid, but mainly superhero ones, the american type heroes. I don't mind manga or anime, but I didnt understand it enough back then to get into it.
  12. I just hope that this issue is sorted out soon. Writers do play some part, especially with the scripts or storylines towards a major TV series, or movie. Depending on the type of show. Tend to agree more comphrensive shows eg 24 which depends on continous storylines would be impacted more than others. Soapies would also fall under the greatly impacted area considering the continous storylines.
  13. Sports are indeed fun to play, whether if its for leisure or on a competitive basis. A good alternative thing to do other than either work, or in spare time rather than the TV or computer. But of course, a big sporting event on TV (eg a football grand final, cricket, or the like) is very tempting to get you onto the chair, with a nice drink and to start watching it
  14. Both tend to be very good brands, but I agree with the general consensus that Nike tends to have more brand recognition. But in some cases Brands with more recognisations doesnt always be good and/or is either overpriced. Take Sony audio for example, some of their equipment are overpriced, yet rivals or slightly cheaper general 'imitations' may tend to be better. Back on topic, I've had Nike basketball shoes, and had used it mostly for basketball in the old days, yet I had Adidas trainers for walking, running and the like. The trainers having been through most things, including puddles and muds as well when it rains all of a sudden, or running and there is rain/storm clouds hovering over my head.
  15. Yes, I tend to agree it is not neccessary to eat meat in general. But even with those that are strictly vegie would not be able to change the minds of many, although getting some people to change their habits would be a start for those vegies. Even though I'm not a vegie myself, I have to agree that eating a fellow of their animal race eg "people on people, cat on cats" etc does tend to be a bit 'wrong'.
  16. Or at least whether if its some small, medium or large contribution, at least some would be appreciative of the contributions that has been noted, whether if it is small or large.
  17. It probably wont be long before the Twenty20, Ten10 or any shortened form of the version of cricket is included in any future version of cricket games (on all platforms) to be released down the track.
  18. Have to sit on the fence on this one. But I do tend to agree I dont really understand why some people went Vegie to lose weight, only to likely to go back to eating meat once they lose a particular amount of weight. Thats presuming a well mentioned sickness related to weight loss doesnt effect the people concerned. Yes, the food chain may illustrate that many would eat meat, but some may not follow it for various reasons.
  19. Neither have I, although I wouldnt mind checking em out as I dont mind most music including jazz. There are of course the few exceptions (daggy country music, most opera).
  20. Have to agree with the poster above, indeed you are lucky, but would've suggested in the future when a opportunity like this comes around again. Definitely would have to go with the suggestion of at least attempting to do something! or contribute to help the others on the allocated tasks given to the group.
  21. Have to say I'm indeed very very bad at it, but WITH some assistance somewhat, it can be cleared within a few minutes. Guess I'll have to read any strats i can find on the net for the Rubix cube.
  22. Also a cats and dogs person here. Although I did have a budgie and a mouse for a while, the former for a long time before the budgies passed away of old age. The mouse was briefly during my primary school days.
  23. Dont have a dog atm, but I wouldnt mind getting a puppy down the track. I did have 2 budgies in the past, but both eventually died of old age. Also, for a while we did have to look after a mates cat for a while while they went overseas for work purposes. Funny how cats/dogs run away when looked after by someone else, yet when they return to the owner, they run away/attempt to run back to the person who cared for them while they the owner is away.
  24. There are bound to be bugs in technology (microsoft lol), but at the same time there are bound to be solutions to it as well. Also, I tend to sit on the fence regarding intrusive technology, while good in some cases, there are privacy concerns for others as well.
  25. Yes, I agree to an extent that more american TV shows have been hitting our screens. While at the same time, at least there is a bit of less ignorance, especially with less people assuming that there are kangaroos hoping all over Sydney! and while there were also some that assumed that Kangaroos were also pets (eg like a dog), the people that thought or assumed that are much less now then there used to be in the 80s. At least an awareness campaign, combined with recent world events such as the Sydney 2000 olympics has changed many people's perception of Australia, after reading in the past about some people assuming that "we drink fosters a lot"... Sure some workers may have drinks after work!, but generally many dont drink too much (of course there are a few exceptions and some that do tend to ruin things). But now, most overseas tourists are aware that Australia is a developed country, also multi-cultural with other foods and drinks, and the like. Combined with hard-working and a bit of laid back type culture.
