What specific aspects of safari do you find to be superior? What does it offer that other browsers do not?

I too was confused as to why anyone would want safari on windows. It is understandable to use it occasionally on OSX, since it is bundled with the OS and uses less memory on that platform.I would never use it on windows, though. It lacks the versatility of browsers like Firefox and Opera. It is just sort of a plain old web browser. The browser renders pages oddly, differently than all other major browsers. Although some people seem to like the interface, I don't. I don't like the brushed metal tecture or having space-hogging close buttons on every tab. All of these things could be achieved in firefox if I wanted them, though. I also here that on windows it is hogging a big chunk of memory (but I realized that it is still beta).

I don't know if that is a translation error. It may just be some form of jabber bot. Either way, it is hilarious. That reminds me of the postmodernism generator. Every time you reload the page it will compose and completely meaningless essay in postmodern gibberish. The funny this is that it can actually be somewhat convincing at first glance. I think that the attitude toward communism has changed a little for the better since the cold war, but it's still feared and looked down upon by Americans.Not everyone here in the US is against it, but there are still lasting impressions from the cold war. The US had so much propaganda demonizing communist ideas and I think that resulted in a distorted view of what communism is. Many people fear things that they are not familiar with, or things that contradict things that they see as the right way, even if it is no threat at all; Furthermore, the US government/economy/culture is supposed to be based on ideas of freedom, individuality, capitalism, etc. The idea of "the American Dream" is based on being able to make a successful future for yourself in a your own way and distinguishing ones self from the rest. People come from all over the place to live in "the Land of the Free". I suppose anything that contradicts that "freedom" could be seen as anti-american.I think that communism is a beautiful ideal, but I it has it's flaws, just like any other social structure. Ideally I would think that communism strives to make everyone equal and that is great, but it seems in reality, many time it ends up with a few very wealthy people and a very large amount of lower class people. I think that one ofthe problems is that there is less personal responsibility involved. Correct me if I am wrong, because I will admit that I am not extremely knowledgeable in this subject.It seems though that there is not much incentive to work harder because it doesn't benefit the individual directly. If many people took that attitude it could bring down the success of the community.Capitalism makes people work harder, because if they do, their is a better chance that they will succeed or be rewarded. The downside is that people are not quite as equal andyou have some very poor people, some very rich people, and many middle class.

Yeah the last gaim was very unstable, but pidgin seems to be very stable. I haven't had any problems with it.

Yeah I am really happy with Pidgin. It is more stable, elegant, and just plain better than Gaim was.I don't think I have had any problems with it yet. The last release of Gaim was always crashing on me.

I have had issues like this before and sometimes it can be solved by stopping the torrent, then doing a force re-check and then starting it again. Other times the seeded folders have been messed with. Sometimes windows adds those thumbnail files to folders with images and things like that, but if there are plenty of seeders I don't know if that would be a problem.

I can't speak for him, but even when religion does not advocate violence, there is no denying that religion-related violence occurs. It has happened all throughout history and still continues today. The way that I understood his post is that if people were open to peacefully discussing their differences in beliefs, instead fighting or imposing ones beliefs on others, violence could be avoided. I know not all religious people use violence or impose their beliefs on others, but some do. One way or another, many religious people are going to want to tell other people about their beliefs and many religions tell their followers to do so. It is a much better way to sit and have a nice open discussion about it then to shove it down peoples throats. I know that I would be more receptive in a positive situation like that. That way you have an exchange of ideas and maybe you will learn something from the other person. It isn't always against one religion to adopt morals and ideas from another. Also, sometimes when people learn a little more about another set of ideas and debunk certain myths, those ideas are less foreign and intimidating, which may encourage a bit more tolerance.

I have always believed that you can learn something from everyone. That goes for wisdom outside of religion as well. If people would practice a little more tolerance and stop imposing their beliefs on others, the world would be a much more peaceful place. I have friends from many different cultures and religions and they all have unique wisdom to share. It seems to me that some people are afraid (maybe even subconsciously) to listen to challenging views, because it may disrupt or change what they believe. They are comfortable, spiritually, and they don't want to come out of their comfort zone. Why else would people become so defensive when those views are challenged, even in a nonthreatening way. If they are know they are right, then listening can't do any harm, and if they are willing to listen they might even learn something new.

When you installed the new installation, did you install it from a windows CD? Well I think you should be able to do it. If it doesn't work, it shouldn't hurt anything, so there isn't any reason not to try. If it doesn't boot, you can plug the old drive right back in (unplug the power cable before doing so) Just make sure that when you hook up the new drive that the little jumper piece in on the pins in the back of the hard drive is set to master primary or cable select. Usually there will be a diagram printed on the drive to show you the placement of the jumper for the different configurations. You may have to hit the del button when booting up to adjust your BIOS settings (Hit del every second or so until you see a menu pop up, pick the new drive as HD 0 save and exit). If it works, GOOD, if not, put the old drive back in how it was and figure out what you did wrong. It might be a bit more complicated though with the different partitions, because I don't know if having the installation on the second partition of the drive would prevent it from booting. You might be able to adjust that in the BIOS but I am not sure.

Just sent one. At this time, I think it is only available for Windows and OS X. If you are running OS X, you have to be running it on one of the new Intel-based systems.

Yeah the beta is really bloated and slow to install. I do really like the way that the new interface works. It makes things easier to organize on screen. There are some very cool new features and small changes too. Overall though it hasn't made any HUGE steps forward from CS other than the interface.

I would recommend one of the Unbuntu projects (ubuntu, kubuntu,xubuntu). They are made to be very user friendly. They have added a graphical installer and they have very good hardware support. Their apt -get front end makes program installations and upgrades very quick and easy. There are forums and wiki pages available to help with any problems and questions. The package comes with a whole suite of useful software, too.

Are you saying that it should be their right or that they currently have that right? The last time I checked, I think that technically it is against federal law to grow or be in possession of marijuana. I personally think that it should be handled by the state.

I have used them many times in art school and at work and I think the main issue is size. Just don't get the really small ones because they are very cumbersome to work with.Get one that is more rectangular than square.

Often christians and even others assume that satanists are hateful/violent/immoral/etc (the list goes on), but many of these asumptions are based on myths. Movies and literature and other things have misrepresented what many satanists are. People seem to think that they go around killing animals for rituals, when in reality this is very much against to satanist beliefs (only ok if it is being used for food or if you are being attacked by the animal). The satanists that I know/met/spoken with are all quite the opposite of malicious and hateful. These people have decent morals and have always treated me and others with respect and kindness. There are different types of satanists"and those different groups can have dramatically different beliefs. The concept of Satan actually existed before Christianity, thus, not all "satanists" are directly rejecting the Christians and their god. So I don't see why a satanist is any more threatening to a Christian as a person of any different belief. I think everyone has the right to believe what they want and I am generally accepting of most religions. There are good people from many different backgrounds, cultures and religions. I have met plenty of hateful people who consider themselves Christian, but that doesn't mean that christians are hateful. Religions don't make bad people. Good people are good people.

Well I don't use the drug (although I did periodically when I was younger), but I don't see why it isn't legal.Alcohol and tobacco are both more dangerous than marijuana and they are legal. So much tax money goes into keeping people in prison on marijuana-related charges. Some of the prisons out here are full from thesetype of crimes. People are going to use it whether it is legal or not. Not far from where I live, in West Hollywood, they have legalized marijuana in small amounts. Although this decision conflicts with federal law, the police can now focus on less-trivial crimes. It doesn't seem like there have been any major problems with this and I know that other cities like (I think Denver) are doing the same.

I have been on a roll today, but that isn't always the case Well I don't know if there is really any WRONG way of doing it, as long as you get the job done The save for web feature can be helpful since it gives you a preview with the compression and also has more options for getting your images as small and optimized as possible.

I used this browser for a short time a few months ago on my linux partition and wasn't very impressed. It didn't seem much faster and it crashed all the time.

In photoshop go to file> save for web. In the window that pops up you can flip to the "optimized" section to see how it looks with the different forms of compression.Gif is good for solid colors and jpeg is better for smooth gradients and photographs and such. Just try reducing the quality as a jpeg until you start seeing a noticeble decrease in image quality and then try stopping in a place that doesn't effect the image quality much. 60 is usually a decent setting for quality/size. Down at the bottom it will tell you what size the file will be with the current compression settings.
