  1. A commercial drive meant for home use's largest capacity right now is 1TB hard drives.I don't see why I need it, but you asked it here.xboxrulz
  2. True, he didn't specifically state what type of currency he was going to spend, so we must wait for his reply. I assumed USD.xboxrulz
  3. I would go for:AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition Dual-Core Socket AM2, 2.6GHz, 512KB x2 L2 Cache, 2000MHz HT, 65nm, WOFAsus M2A-MVP Socket AM2 AMD 480X CrossFire Chipset + ATI SB600 Dual Channel DDR2 800/667/533 1394a FirewireSapphire ATI RADEON HD 2900 Pro 1GB GDDR4 Dual Dual-Link DVI HD Audio Shader Model 4.0 320 Unified Shaders PCI-Express Graphics Card2 GB DDR2SDRAMDVD-RAM/RWI'm not a fan of Intel processors (even though all my systems are Intel. My brother has the AMD and it's a lot better than what I have, even my Macbook's processor, which is an Intel Core 2 Duo, it heats up so badly!)xboxrulz
  4. Also, you should just jump over to DVD-RW since that's the standard, so if you want to burn home movies, now you can have it all on one disc (unless your home movie is very long, then you need a HD-DVD burner )xboxrulz
  5. The bad thing is that a lot of these hosts now use LayeredPanel and not even cPanel? What happened to those good old times when free webhosts give you free cPanel access?xboxrulz
  6. Sounds like your CD-RW drive head is starting to breakdown. Maybe you need a new one?xboxrulz
  7. I never even used a Windows where Microsoft did it "right", so far, they've only had their gaming department doing things right. Otherwise, their flagship products like Windows and (less for) Office aren't done right.xboxrulz
  8. That's quite true actually, my bad. It is NT6.0, but most parts of it has been rewritten although it's based on NT5.2. xboxrulz
  9. I guess you don't have the glass and aluminium iMac with the powerful ATi Radeon HD 2600 PRO eh? That thing is a monster! xboxrulz
  10. For gamers, they must upgrade sooner or later because a lot of games are going to be Vista only soon. Halo 2 already shows that as a Vista only thing.Microsoft loves to push their people hard to the next level. Apple, not so much.xboxrulz
  11. Thing is that Apple knows how to market to the younger crowd, like me. However, the iPod is nothing more than a hard drive-based MP3 player with an ARM processor and an iTunes interface. You can't even change the damn battery without cracking the whole thing open! I find MP3 phones are a better offer.Their computer products are a lot better, it's better built, but I still have complaints with it like it's upgrade policies and the transition to Intel (which I still oppose to this day).xboxrulz
  12. I agree with trinifawk. You should just sell your laptop for a better one. A laptop is much different from a desktop. You can change as many parts you want in a desktop, but on a laptop, you're basically stuck with what you bought.Of course on a laptop you can still change the RAM and hard drive but not mission critical components like GPU and CPU.xboxrulz
  13. You would need a router so that more than 1 computer can share the Internet connection. Once you get a router, simply plug both systems in. If you get wireless then just follow your manufacturer's guide to install that particular router. In many ways, they are. More like they are cousins with Linux. FreeBSD is its older brother or sister. xboxrulz
  14. Umm... this isn't really a post. Why are you posting this? What's your thoughts on this? Please post more or we treat this as spam. Thanks, xboxrulz
  15. Please note that the Macbook can run Windows, just like any PCs can. So if you really really really need Windows, then you can install it side by side with the world's best operating system (I'm not even kidding you. Well, actually, Linux is with it as the top too ... lol) With the new Macbook revision, you can now even play your favourite DX10 games or games like Battlefield 2142 (which the old GMA 950 can't; it's also the revision I got unfortunately because I'm also a gamer). IMHO, you can't ever go wrong with a Macbook. Hell, I basically replaced my desktop with my Macbook by buying the miniDVI to VGA adapter (C$25.00 or HK$150). I got mine from Hong Kong so I saved on taxes and exchange rate too . I only use my desktop for gaming and when I absolutely need Windows apps. If I'm on the go, my VMWare Fusion takes care of Windows. xboxrulz
  16. Maxotek is taking the lead, followed by vujsa and my website! Who will be our champion, I don't know, come on and vote to find out!xboxrulz
  17. Even if you do get the box, most likely you get those 33% dead boxes. Like you open it and play it, then you go "ZOMFG OH NOEZ! RoD"xboxrulz
  18. Thing people need to do if they want to commit over to Linux is to ditch the software they use if there's an alternative on Linux. I can only think of one situation it wouldn't work out and that's if they are gaming. Else, WINE would make do. If you really need the programs, just use a virtual machine. Linux offers a lot more than what Windows will ever, so why not switch. If not, I highly recommend MacOS X .Now I sound like a salesperson .xboxrulz
  19. I think Laurence meant about Boot Camp not running on PowerPC Macs. xboxrulz
  20. No it will not because a) it violates the EULA and b ) all other PCs still have BIOS and not what Apple hardware uses. Apple hardware uses the all new EFI interface to boot its systems. Until other manufacturers uses EFI, you won't be able to boot MacOS X unless you pirate the versions which implements a BIOS patch so that the MacOS X can run on the cracked version. As linking to crackware is banned on Xisto, I will not give you the links to them. xboxrulz
  21. I've never used the final version of Office 2007 (I only tried the Beta). So it has a black "ribbon" option? I never knew that. My friends all use the blue "ribbon".xboxrulz
  22. Note: if you want a Macbook, it's best to buy one now since MacOS X Leopard was just recently released. One schoolmate from my school immediately purchased Leopard.I was just walking through the hall and I exclaimed "Whoa... Leopard?!?!" ... lolEDIT: Apple just released an upgrade for the Macbooks quietly. Now it sports a 800 MHz Front Side Bus and a new GPU, the X3100. Aside from that, nothing else changed. I feel so ripped off right now. I have a Macbook purchased last month and it doesn't qualify for Leopard and it only has a 667 MHz FSB, god I'm so angry.xboxrulz
