  1. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ don't let the link name scare you..........hackaday is a great site.......... and one of the coolest things ever is GEOCAMMING on "Google"......this link will teach you how to surf the unsecured web cams of the world.......nothing to it really and it is a great time killer.......... you'll see department stores, colleges, airports, beaches, bars, pools, docks, lions, tigers and bears........factories.....you name it it is there, and some cams you can control...... coolset thing I saw was a wedding at a Brewery with several camera angles.......
  2. what i do is look at sites and find one i like in just plain HTML, go to "View" source, study the code.....copy the code, upload the code in my CONTROL PANEL through my web host.....then tweek it to my liking, ad my artwork, from Photoshop. I hope you know photoshop......photoediting is a must. this is the guerrilla way of web design.....but you learn a bit as you go....and if you get stuck just do a google search for what your tring to do, there is a lot of tutorals out there. good luck.........or just go get a free template...........jdn
  3. see the problem is i have a space set up somewhere else, a different free hosting service, and they have changed so much over the years i have lost a lot of functions......they are not free anymore, and my bandwidth is suckin now also......so i'm here clicking away at the forum to try a new host.....and free.......i need free.my other half says get a MySpace, but I am a graphic artist so I don't think myspace will do for me.....BLOGS i don't think will work either..........what is a new cool format that graphic artists may use......see i like HTML......so it's hard to change...i hope this my question is clear..............
  4. forget the outlined designs..........ouitline to thin........and what above said it needs to be thicker......or more contrasty
  5. I use Gimp 2.............on a IBook......I use to have alot of art applications.....in OS 9.0, but in OSX I have not bought any yet, and I may not ever now that I found GIMP.......For basic artm and photo editing it works great......I have not tested all the export options but for web work it seems to work great.........and best of all it is free. https://www.gimp.org/macintosh/ also for PC people...... https://www.gimp.org/windows/
  6. I have a old Bondi that has enough ram for Linux, I wanted to install Ubanutu....on it, I had problems with the firmware, It would'nt regognize the cd drive after I erased the 8.0 OS......see I didn't have the original disk, I installed Mac 0S 9.0 on it by removing the hard drive, and putting it in another Imac......then swapping back, still it won't recognize the CD drive when I switched it back, the firmware is being a b!tch......I even tried to update the firmware.....do dice. I tried to install the Linux distro, by switching the cd drive from the other Imac, this works........but the install hangs up........somewhere I read to go back to Hoary Hedgehog, instead of the new distro of Ubanutu Linux...........dang so many problems just tring the reserect a old IMAC to Linux......any info would be helpful! JDN
