  1. i'm sure it does have a fall-back kinda feature that allows for recovery (trash can or something)
  2. yes, but depending on the type of work you do... two monitors is the norm in a lot of working places now (especially IT), at the Company i work for two 22" LCD monitors is compulsory, only our receptionists have single monitors
  3. lol... that's a bummer, it was a very interesting topic hehe
  4. tested it on VM and it is quite elegant and well laid out... i don't think it's as great as LinuxMint though

  7. in Linux its a bit more of a pain because some Distros still have bottom and top panel (especially Gnome based) and you really have to get use to it... or remove one of the panels
  8. Backup Value provided by UPS manufacturers are an estimate as well so one can't be too sure, but if you go for a well known and reliable brand then this approximation can be much more accurate and of-course better reliable
  9. i don't think there's many Free Web Texting to Mobile Devices services out there... i do remember there was a Free service on a site i used sometime ago but you have a limit of 4 or 5 texts per day or per week (can't remember correctly)...
  10. 20 years WOW... the ones i've tested so far (plugged onto the PC) have been working fine other than two drives 500GB SATA 2.5" which i was hoping it would work because it probably the largest of the lot I found a couple of old 10GB and 20GB IDE drives and they do make some noise when plugged in but they run fine ... noise could be due to their age - older drives tend to be a bit louder than the recently made ones
  11. i wonder if it charges through MicroUSB as well... yes it will be a pain if boot-time will be an issue, mind you it probably be utilizing some android hibernation feature that quickly goes back on - Android power off/on wouldn't be ideal for a Camera... and one wouldn't wanna recharge the camera every 2nd day or so hehe
  12. i believe PSU can deliver more power... it's the mainboard's standard that defines the restriction, which is inline with the standards applied to the devices
  13. I think its one of the best language to start with if someone without any programming knowledge would wanna start doing some programming...
  14. I do notice when i plug in some of the drives (a few 2.5" ones) they tend to make a clicking noise... so i'm not sure whether that's just the normal mechanical noise or not... it happens on power up then it seem to come and go depending on file access to the drive
  15. It's a WOW alright... this Camera has a spec just under a Galaxy S III, The power house - 1.4GHz Quad, 1GB RAM, 21x OPTICAL Zoom, 16Megapixel, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 4.8" 1280x720 Screen etc... ITS A BEAST of an Android Camera
  16. A Galaxy Camera running Android 4.1 with a 4.8 inch screen - WOW http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_camera_goes_on_sale_in_the_uk_in_two_days-news-5043.php Spec: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  17. that will be interesting... i have tried booting Windows XP from a hard drive on a different machine, it loaded but with heaps of issues... ended up reinstalling a fresh copy
  18. what happened to it? things have been gone weird on me with the forum lately... last week my IP was blacklisted... i didn't know until i submitted a ticket after a few days (maybe close to a week)
  19. ok... hey yordan off-topic i can't get to this topic i created, is it just me or is the thread been removed? http://forums.xisto.com/topic/33960-upgraded-cpu-g620-i3-3220/ i get the [#10340] You do not have permission to view this topic. Error
  20. I think i'm more interested in creating images with customizations... for exmaple: a Windows 7 Image with all the latest patches/updates and plus additional softwares that i would normally install like VLC, MS Office, 7zip, Paint.NET, Flash, Firefox, Opera, Filezilla etc...
  21. aah i see... so even with a standard windows Formating, it should be sufficient
  22. So is there a way of testing the drive to see the amount of life it has left? I'm just curious because i had a browse on our local ebay and saw some people selling hard-drives with an approximation of hours left... all the drives do work, i just thought there could be some special programs that can do a thorough analysis on hard-disks or something
  23. Driver was already installed... i presume it could be to do with the newly installed CPU
