Does Dating Sites Help To Find The Life Partner?
Xalor replied to sarahlandry's topic in Dating And Relationships
My Aunts met their husbands online, in a dating site. They feel good about it and had went out with them for a bit. Sometimes when you don't have much luck in your area, especially from a small town, it might help. You have to take everything with a grain of salt though. A lot of it is lies, from people who do this for fun, leading them on, and messing with them. Try to keep to the ones who seem real, and legit. I would say its a great way to find someone, but you really have to to open and trusting to be with someone online. The other option is to hang out with your friends more and look around if your friends meet someone new and introduce you to them and build up your contacts, and whenever you find someone you click with, then pursue it. -
I heard about Hackintosh on CNET and researched a bit about it. According to LifeHacker it is used more than get this Linux is used. I like OS X and I would love to use a Hackintosh, but there are a lot of glitches with it and not the mention the fact I'd rather not be in a gray area when it comes to something as important as the legality of the OS you are using. I would love to use it in the future on an older computer possibly, one that reminds me of an Apple Computer, like this XPS Laptop I am using, once it gets really old, I'll turn into a Hackintosh, its more than enough to store what one knows about it. Apple is always innovative in their approaches. They are able to secure an OS with maximum security. It has a simple control panel and the more advanced features of Windows is simplified. Setting up partitions, RAID Drives, changing your Harddrive, its all so simple with Apple. The other thing I like about it is that you can only use it with an Apple Computer, so the computer is never involved in OSX ratings, as it is standard under Apple.I love the Dock, its amazing. I can find everything quickly and search for my programs and looks amazing. From a designing point of view this is the best feature OSX has to offer. Its quick, simple, and lovely to use. The graphical interface makes the buttons go larger as you move, so older people will easily be able to find their programs if their eyes are failing. The server edition isn't something amazing, because there is no language or a platform that is only OSX, so a Windows Server would do much better at holding a server, thats my only flaw, and also Linux may do a better job being free. I hope that Apple makes a platform that is more than just what is at the moment, and makes the server edition more famous. The coming soon Snow Leopard will change Apple and make OSX just that better. I am hoping that it will support much more customizing, as right now there is little modding that there is to be done. The Dock is as it is, and for now you can't change anything that hasn't been cracked or edited in some sort of way just like Windows 7 is.All in all, OSX is one of the best OS around, and I hope that it improves enough to challenge Windows and help to convert people who are avid Windows users to something where you can learn faster and much more information-based ideas.

The clutter is though getting rather bad here, since threads of the same idea from articles about the same thing from two different sources or even the same sources are popping out here and there. Forcing someone would truly ruin the fun of a forum that is openly allows people to think and discuss ideas. I truly believe that something that allows people to be rewarded realtime would help to generate more discussion something that doesn't judge by post count by amount words per post or something of that sort. This idea was pretty good, but a bonus that you suggested exists. You get more myCENTS when you post a topic that stays active, and earn much more for a longer topic and post, along with the number of posters in that topic, so one topic could generate a lot of myCENTS for you, if used properly, hope I cleared a bit up for you there. I hope you come up with more ideas, and soon enough those ideas will come into action.

GMail is my favorite because of its elegant simplicity. I enjoy using Google's interface. The best part is that I can search through my email instead of going through it one by one. I don't like offline clients so I don't have problems with its lack of full cooperation with traditional email methods of Outlook and Live Mail. Its fast, you have a loading bar, your email rechecks automatically and rather fast. It has a whole slew of features, that allow it to integrate well with other programs on in the Google Suite. You have the ability to open documents on the web, decreasing load time. The only problem I have is with the lack of a fully functional folder system. I have to manually use labels and its rather hard to organize emails from friends and emails from online contacts. I find that this is the biggest flaw, and that sometimes forces people who don't like using multiple addresses to stick with Hotmail over GMail, but he Search features is one of the best for anyone I believe. Also the fact that you can log into Aim, MSN, GTalk and other IM Clients while on the web, and chat realtime, through email messages.

Stopthewarm, I just would like to say that you do have a lot to lose there. Once you give out personal information thats a pretty big problem. I haven't checked out the site, since WoT says that it isn't a reliable site, but that may just be a couple of bad reviews. I'd rather not expose my information but that is my own opinion, so I will respectfully accept your point of view. My view just comes from my own family who aren't very trusting on the internet and I have been scammed before from one of the Survey Sites that pay you. I only try to go to the forums who do say that they pay that have a large member base and a lot of success stories, the thing I trusted most about Trap was that the members that posted here, have moved onto to more known hosting but they still stay around and post, telling me that I should trust this site that doesn't bar members who aren't even earning anything here.

Anyone Interested In Building Corporate Credit?
Xalor replied to princeofvegas's topic in Business Forum
You wouldn't get myCENTS for an edit but make it into a new thread, so that this clutter won't discourage new members, if you need any help converting and also I would release it as a MS Word or a Document File because it would be easier for some people to take some pieces from it and quote it when writing a paper or holding some info. I find that Word Documents sometimes do a far better way of displaying the information, unless you already formatted with images and other captions already, then ignore me. I am rather excited in seeing this e-book, never seen someone release it on a forum such as this. Also be sure to allow other people to spread the link around, and if you do well, make it into a blog and release more information on there. Its an idea that could help other to make their lives better in the business world, and that is something you could do with the myCENTS you earn now. -
Learned On Their Own Who here is self tought?
Xalor replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in General Discussion
I learned to pretty much how to set up scripts and learned HTML on my own. It came from w3schools and studying source code. The other bits and pieces I learned from IP Protocol and setting up secure networks. I don't know too much indepth, since I usually go from sections to sections of the computer. I started with games, then to programming simple scripts and mods in private servers, then to the Web and then to Graphics and then again to programming on the Web which I hope to learn more. I haven't truly learned much on my own, other than the famous programs, like Word, Excel, and Access, oh and Photoshop. I have taught myself all I know about US Policies and Political Problems. -
Understand this, that things always get worse before they get better. He needs to flush in as many troops as he can without picking up too much bad clout. He needs to finish a war, that his predecessor left him, these problems must be solved. If he is to deploy more troops then be it, they are of more use there then here, on home ground doing nothing whatsover, other than guarding the border, from poor people, who just need jobs. I would like to say that Afganistan is also one of the holding points of Al Queda, as some of you know, the 9/11 attacks, surfaced from the op in Al Queda in Afganistan. The other thing is that Afganistan is also the prime location where Bin Laden is supposedly living. We need to secure the Middle East, and its not a war on religion, we are attacking terrorists that not only attack other countries but their own people, with their supposed Jihad. This is the Crusades once again, but this time, the Western Powers have moved to the Americas. This time though its not a war on religious man vs. religious man its Religious Terrorist vs. Innocent People.

I don't believe that Government computers would actually use an operating system such as Linux or Apple's OSX. I wouldn't think that Apple would have the clout to be able to make the government trusting of a company with few years and not enough popularity, like Windows. Linux on the other hand has a true flaw, that its all based from the same source, so almost anyone could get intricate knowledge of Linux. Microsoft has the ability to make a heavily secure OS to run on their systems. You also have to understand that information is leaked all over. If someone found out about it on some secret iRC or a hacker forum in the underbelly of the Web, they could have the ability to make a virus that could put a country's tech department in a vulnerable state. The firesail is the way that its actually referred to, and anyone that had inside info could get in. Conficker or Conflicker could also be a virus that attacks the root of Windows instead of the external side, like the Drives, and Files, this would try to attack the inside of Windows.

Stefan_pavikevik's Application
Xalor replied to stefan_pavikevik's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
You aren't that bad for a new person to join. I like your work, and I like how you like to use tabs and the Web 2.0 Concepts. Its not really color-schemed very well that's the only problem for me. There isn't too much work to look at anyway, could you provide more samples. Even if you don't get into the team, you could do to join the events and SOTMs SOTWs, and the tournaments here at GFXTrap. I hope that you will stay, and I believe that you need also a certain amount of posts, but I am not sure. -
I would put less emphasis on the text and try out a couple of images, and a c4d here and there, try out some built in renders and get it more complicated. Its pretty good for a starter but the only problem is the texture of the text, is one that is often referred to as a horrible one, if its used properly it isn't that bad. I would try to make the text lighter to make the glow make sense. I would lighten around the area where the glow is and the burn the background (darken) I believe GIMP also has dodge and burn tools?

Hey your site doesn't provide a valid link and it doesn't go anywhere, it says domain not found. I would like to see your services, and if the costs arent too much I wouldn't mind getting a new skin for a phpBB Forum and installing a couple of mods for it aswell. I need a point mod, and other mods for a gaming forum, and a template or style based on the game Dragonica.

I would love to see that added along with the pruning of the forums. There is so much clutter that old posts are repeated over and over again, and nothing seems to be started anew. I think that requiring it would be a little more eccentric. We are posting a lot already, but mandating it would turn off a lot of members. Not to be against Xisto but many people find it a little too controlled to be a rather open forum. I know its keep away clutter and to keep it at a mature excellence level and to attract new users, but this would be a little too much. We could encourage people to open new threads, by setting new trends that pass on, saying that you earn more myCENTS for making threads and keeping discussions going, increasing the rate and amount of myCENTS. I would also like to suggest having myCENTS to be more realtime, to an extent, and that its only added to your hosting money, when all your posts are approved, that lets say 100 words is about 10 myCENTS, and then so onwards, so to attract more realtime users.

I don't like Black and White because I enjoy watching things in color. For graphical work I sometimes employ subtle uses of Black and White but fill it in with color to achieve an antithesis of ideas making it stronger. For TV though color isn't as rich as black and white as they say. To some extent I am fine with the colors my old regular TV displays and much more happier with my LCD. Its not that black and white doesn't appeal but that it doesn't display every detail those things that make you go "oh" or "yea" and the ideas that help you to understand. Color when employed properly gives a much better display than a picture in black and white. Black and White selectively used is for a general still purpose over the moving of colors, allows for more variety, and makes it seem in reality.

I haven't had too many problems. But that is only with an SD card to and from my PC and computer. It usually works, but why do you need to keep it on and switch cards out? I only do it when I have it plugged in and switching, it just takes a bit to relead and then it has a little bit of a problem.

I wouldn't mind joining either. It looks like a lot of fun anyway. I have some new ideas to try out and a couple of themes I wouldn't mind heading either. I hope that we could set it up that anyone could start their own tournament. Credits and myCents are an added bonus, but make it so that its not the only reward, such as a ranking in your sig, or another part of the info, that goes number of GFX Events Won: (or of that type) like I said I wouldn't mind heading a couple, even though I am not part of the crew. We should also start teams, that are independent of the forum, so we can have some team competitions like the larger GFX Sites.

Anyone Interested In Building Corporate Credit?
Xalor replied to princeofvegas's topic in Business Forum
I would love to see this. I always dreamed of opening a small business in the future, or owning my own private practice. Business is an interest of mine and if I could learn from a young point onwards, I hope to be successful in life. The fact I have to face over 10 years to become specialized in an area of medicine I could learn to get credit up with all those student loans coming back to haunt me. I hope you add it into the Tutorials section because that's where we can get the most out of it, If its rather long I wouldn't mind converting into an PDF or a e-book for you or you should do that and put a link at the bottom or make it a total download link. -
Well it wouldn't be wierd if the boy or the girl did it themselves and tried to find dating advice. Doing that stuff together makes them I guess feel closer, but its rather creepy to find advice from a person hiding behind a computer. I would say there is some method, as there are always is a method. It could feel like its random but then again there could be a larger play behind it. It could be that he wants to move slow, or she wants to start it fast, or they both want to end it feeling full. I would say that advice is advice to a point but you have to define your own future, as is the central focus of existentialism, the search of finding oneself and one's love.

I would wait about half a second or a second before the site loads, I believe you just add another line of the code to the set focus. I know that sometimes it is the browser's fault, like as they say MSIE does that, but I think that may not be true, your decompiler goes to the site as its set, but not the way the browser loads the page, so that may be the problem. IE does not stop Flash Ads though whoever said that is wrong, those Ads bypass it and work anyway.
-
Thats not much actually. I would like to see that it pays more. Anyway it doesn't seem too reliable, but it could be the authoring style. They didn't write gramatically well and its rather hard to understand slightly. I would trust the site itself, if there are enough proofs and sources, but not the writer as they seem to be doing little work and getting the most out of it, especially the fact that you could do this to the next person, and its ends up no one of the higher level posts. I believe that this almost the same way, just that we get Hosting instead of posts. Its an interesting take, but its just another way to make money of ads, and 15 days of time to get it sent via PayPal even is a long time, and especially annoying if you are waiting to cash out lets say 10 dollars.

Hello Tiago. I hope you enjoy your stay here. I guess I am pretty much like you, just younger. I enjoy using computers, and learning how to manipulate it in a way that allows much more to be accomplished rather than what you can do now. I hope to see you get hosted and see what you plan to do with your future site.

I thought it meant something as like Trap was a secret in the Web that few people know about. The 17 threw me off thinking either its been in business for 17 years, or well that is the year it started in, not the site of course but the company itself. I find that its not really professional or well something that looks safe because the name itself looks rather scary for some people who haven't seen too many sites around here. I would like to see something different, but then again, after looking at the Forum and everything, if they trust over 75K members, then I believe that its fine.

From what I saw I thought you were American also, just like Digidalidad, but I thought you were much older around 30/40 just by looking at your avatar. I would take you to be someone who is well versed in Internet Literature and enjoys being part of larger associations given that you keep Xisto links as your signature, and maybe someone who has a phobia of Photoshop to make a signature. Would anyone who hasn't seen my introductory thread like to guess about me? At Digidalidad, I thought you were rather young, not old enough to have 4 kids, wouldn't expect someone that has a seasoned job to be on a forum like this when premium hosting is around 5 dollars a month nowadays.

We MUST stop Comcast Comcast Sets Monthly Bandwidth Limit For Customers
Xalor replied to iGuest's topic in General Discussion
I don't have a limit that I know of, but my download speeds are capped according to your plans, which are hell of an annoying process, because when they say maximum speeds they just mean 1/10 of the total speed, I am planning on moving to FIOS anyway. I think that it doesn't really matter if they cap it or not because your BandWith is in their hands, as you have paid for it, but you have signed their contract, and they can provide the services according to the contract. It may not be good business ethics, but if you use too much the other users have major problems, and then the business goes down in flames. Limiting bandwith is a step taken to prevent it. I have only seen it only non-American or non-European Countries, such as China and India, not much else, well since they have just moved to broadband they need to limit it to certain levels. -
I remember some of the Old Age, but I think when I was born, the Internet was coming into popular use, and now its really boomed, so I guess I have the best generation to work with, but I am going to be the first generation to not get Social Security, lol. On the other hand I am learning to be more tech savvy and looking into Web Design as a viable supplement to my income in College and when I don't have any money. Starting to learn some Graphics and getting to the level of more intracate designs. On the Sailor aspect, I don't think so >.> I believe this name came from the fact I wanted Valor as an IGN for a game, and used Xalor as an alternative, combining what I wanted as a name and my friends name Xvalier. So thats pretty much it, though my friend says its from DOOFUS and I have never heard of such an MMO. Well thanks for gretting me Digitalidad, and I think I would like to see your website very much.
