  1. initially there were zero mysql and 1 parked domain allotted for the basic logic plan; now however, it comes with 1 mysql and 5 parked domains.
  2. only Xisto - Support can help you figure out the real cause of your problem, AND solve your blocked IP issue, FreedomOverdose. were you able to read the reply i've posted in your XISTO LIVE SUPPORT topic thread since you've been searching for that, and you're not too keen on using the support ticket? take the time to update yourself also with the mycents system which will supercede the credits system, and properly link your forum account with the xisto billing and support area. one pointer we can share so as not to have your IP blocked is not to overly enter incorrect logins in the cpanel. that could be one of the reasons which trigger the block on your IP. just be sure you enter the correct login details later on, if this is the cause of your problem.
  3. see instructions for existing hosted members here. read more here if you're concerned about SEO issues.
  4. maybe sarah palin is exposing her kids to "state affairs", whatever that may be. junket here, junket there, junket everywhere! it's really nice to be a government official and be able to pilfer into the national coffers without batting an eyelash as if it is nothing criminal... NOT! how a role model she turns out to be... of course we'll be reading all kinds of "excuses" shrouded in "official legalese" ("First Family Photos" as a "state business"? )... and maybe she'll get off the hook. but i hope not, come election day. as for mccain, it wouldn't be farfetched that he has been hoodwinked by the credentials of the miss alaskan governor. he comes across me as the gullible type, with apologies to his supporters.
  5. i would hope that opaque can make an exception to this paypal transfer with regards to balance acquired from affiliate earnings. if ever, i wish it be separated as a different entity altogether in the xisto client area, and have the option to ADD into our account credit balance to order hosting and stuff, OR be withdrawn via paypal. i have yet to read discussion on the affiliate feature of the system (like how much is the affiliate commission on successful referral orders, etc.), but i suppose opaque will discuss this later on when the new mycents is fully operational.
  6. we're now in the threshold of fully utilizing the CREDIT SYSTEM VERSION 3.0 (and discontinue version 2.0 soon) wherein you'll be earning myCENTS to purchase your customized hosting package. we suggest you link your forum account with the Xisto - Support billing & support area (see instructions by opaque here). in relation to your topic, you can then submit a support ticket from there. -- added: if you really got to get in touch with LIVE support, you can try the one at Xisto - Web Hosting.com. just get to the LIVE SUPPORT CHAT tab found at the lower right part of the page.
  7. and it is not a product of photoshop, mind you. [original source]
  8. does your friend own a passport yet? that will solve the question of her nationality. but that is just being "practical", to settle a discussion with a document. she's just proud of her heritage, so it should not be a big deal at all. she can be persian-norwegian, or norwegian-persian, or just persian, or norwegian -- whichever she likes. she can be klingon for all you care, and you should just accept it, being her friend. it's better you don't get caught in the traps of labels, for in the end they are just that: labels.
  9. @jlhaslip: i would wish they could help you, having just known after checking now that almost all xisto-related domains are also listed with the publicdomainregistry.com registrar. if that registrar shuts down, xisto domains can be easily wiped off the internet! (not really... am just exaggerating. it would just be harder to transfer them to a new registrar if there is no way they can release an EPP key required. when that happens, i'm stumped. )@rpgsearcherz: actually, the registrar information is already mentioned in the domain info provided by jlhaslip above. it's near the bottom, maybe that's why he missed it. it does not stand out easily, having been placed among the legal stuff that we just usually read over when scanning a page. i had to countercheck it of course, and any other whois search would give you the registrar information along with other information relavant to a domain (just google "whois").
  10. Domain Name: mlafever.com Status: ok Registrar: DIRECTI INTERNET SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. D/B/A http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ looks like they are a reseller of hosting and domain services, and they partner with smaller organizations &/or individuals to market their products. where your friend got her domain could be one of them. if you do a whois of their nameservers, you could get the contact email for her "dead" webhost. perhaps that will assist her in finding out what happened to the hosting she registered for (if she's interested), and how to address the issue of modifying the nameservers to which the domain is now currently pointed to. otherwise, you can just ask her to make a support request regarding her domain here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ let her check if they provide a control panel for her to modify the nameservers, as she wills, at any time. if they don't have a control panel to do that, then maybe they will have to do it on their own, with your friend providing the nameservers of her new host. but if that's the case, and they don't provide a control panel to manage her domains, maybe that's a sign that she needs to move her domain to a new registrar with this feature (maybe check if Xisto - Domains has it, and keep her in the xisto family ), in cases when she's got to move hosting and change nameservers (like in her situation today). if she's transferring her domain to a new registrar, the domain needs to be 60 days old and needs to be unlocked -- and mlafever.com appears to meet those two requirements. in addition to that, she'll be needing an EPP key (a transfer authorization key, a security feature implemented October 2006) from her old (current) registrar which generates that and sends it via email to the administrative contact email for that domain name. A transfer is not complete until the new registrar receives the transfer authorization key coming from the previous registrar. hope you get to sort out your friend's domain. there's still 3 months left before it lapses for renewal (on that point, it would be wise to have her check the renewal process on her current registrar if she's gonna decide to stick with them).

(example: Tie an old CD around your neck and carry a lighter. What are you? A CD burner!)
  13. there are many types of social network platforms out there. what do you have in mind? what popular social network/s are you trying to emulate or imitate for your own department's use? something like myspace? digg? friendster? advise us on what you are trying to achieve and maybe we can help you better. for starters, you can trawl on these google results for open source social networking scripts. or perhaps this old Xisto topic will help you.
  14. there's a 97 dollars script somewhere out there which is used to clone a totally configured wordpress blog (google keywords: +wordpress +cloner) it does say you won't need to touch cpanel, and you can practically make an effortless transfer of your wordpress blog in a matter of 60 seconds. i haven't purchased it, nor have i tested it, so i cant validate it's usefulness or if it really works without a hitch as advertised. it is up to you if you want to purchase the script though, or research more on others who have used it for feedback before buying it. if you're just going to use it once however (or just have one wordpress installation to transfer), i don't see how it can justify the cost to you. better to just do it the old-fashioned way as you're already knowledgeable on how to do it. maybe it will ease your troubles if you can transfer your wordpress files and subdirectories via FTP to FTP. there are some FTP clients which can do that (just google it), or you can use a net-based FTP which has this feature (try http://net2ftp.com/). alternatively, if your old host can ZIP your wordpress directory, you can do that. then simply UNZIP that in your Xisto hosting account (which is a proven time-saver). after that you can then recreate your DB on your new host, import your sql backup, and set the proper values on your wordpress config file.
  15. i'm excited with this new feature of cash-conversion to obtain additional services. i'm looking forward to its near implementation.SM will surely be expected to see this as a treat, well before halloween. he's got too much credits to convert into cash.
  16. hey, why did you bring out LIL OSCAR out of the SPAM CAN!? i can still see the hairy resemblance though... and the bulging eyes. you're just blue, and he's green.
  17. check out an old thread in our forums which deal with the same issue as yours. http://forums.xisto.com/index.php?shoc=22421= if you want to learn more about the error BEEPs you're getting, and understand them to help you pinpoint the real culprit in your system, read this.
  18. well, most if not all of that content you are harping about emanates from US citizens themselves. and isn't that what you have fought for in uniform to protect, SM? FREEDOM! (including the freedom to act and be stupid for all the world to see) i'd suggest you stick to youtube channels for your particular point of interests to watch. and if it be the US 2008 elections, you can try http://www.youtube.com/yt/government101/. channels provide less clutter, but not always. but it beats random search results from a myriad of youtube uploaders.
  19. willielwgg seemed to have the same issue earlier. check velma's reply here.
  20. do you know which server you are on? usually, you would be on GAMMA if you are hosted with Xisto, but then again you may be on another server... so it is good practice to take note which server you are hosted on (check it via your cpanel index stats [left side of the cpanel index page, scroll down] when you first log into it, then don't forget about it for future reference... like now). it would also be nice to know what your site URI is so we may visit it and check on the error if possible (and save time searching for your hosting application where your sub/domain is indicated). besides, we may be incorrect in assuming your site URI which is experiencing problem. FreedomOverdose: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ --> SITE OK -Sky-: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ --> SITE OK also, you may check on other Xisto hosted sites (usually advertised on member forum signatures) to counter-check if server services are down for them too and their site is inaccesible/inoperable as well. this is also to see if you have an isolated case, in which case you have to have to get in touch the soonest with Xisto - Support.com for proper resolution. at the time of this posting, all systems GREEN across all xisto servers. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  21. credit crunch? i thought you people were talking about this! that's one SWEET credit crunch i'd like to have. i was watching late news on local TV earlier and that "credit crunch" was one of the features and i just thought, what a coincidence. more seriously, on local TV again: * overseas filipino workers and migrant filipinos living and working in the USA feeling the pinch of the economic crunch; an expectation of massive lay-offs in the near future, and consequently a great reduction in dollar remittances to our third world country, from which philippine economy largely rely on. * reduced philippine exports to the USA (biggest market) owing to its failing economy * singapore falls into recession... * indonesian stock markets has suspended trading since wednesday * asian stock markets in asia generally fell an average of 8% as well today * saw an outdoor digital display showing the american national debt: US$ 10 TRILLION+ (and they had to ease out the dollar sign a bit to include the 1 on the 10 since the display run out of space... a sign of troubled years to come? bailout legislation passed by the US Congress would raise the debt ceiling further to US$11.315 trillion. note: just before GWBush took over, it was just around half that much, or US$5.7 trillion) the only news which made me smile actually was the "credit crunch" i linked above. very gloomy days ahead...
  22. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ? or http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/? (although both are giving the apache placeholder page...) i'm assuming you're using dynamic dns if it's the first one. you sure you have pointed it to the correct nameservers? ns.computinghost.com ns2.computinghost.com sometimes you have to wait for domain propagation though, but since you've been able to access cpanel already and upload your files, i'm lost. if you want, you can try to contact Xisto - Support.com. they may be able to sort this out faster. follow instructions found here.

  24. @FreedomOverdose: perhaps you can ask your ISP for the Preferred (Primary) and Alternate (Secondary) DNS Server Addresses they use. these IPs you can then use to configure your modem settings, so that when it tries to connect to your domain, the chances of your experiencing problems getting directed to your site is minimized. @daftpunk: you have to wait for the 1st day of the following month to have your bandwidth reset. that's usually a problem if you have a very active site (or have an active set of downloadables as pasten pointed out above), so if you exceeded your monthly bandwidth allotment, there's nothing much you can do but wait. OR move to a paid hosting with a higher monthly bandwidth package. (try our sister hosting site for paying customers: https://xisto.com/) @others who may experience same issues: you can always contact the experts at https://support.xisto.com/ (read instructions here)
