  1. maybe it would be a good idea for MrSandMan to also try country-specific google. google has established local-google versions for (some, or all... not sure) countries. CANADA has https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=ssl, PHILIPPINES has https://www.google.com.ph/?gws_rd=ssl, INDIA has https://www.google.co.in/?gws_rd=ssl, FRANCE has https://www.google.fr/?gws_rd=ssl, and SENEGAL has https://www.google.sn/?gws_rd=ssl for examples. what happens for local residents of countries when they access google.com is they get redirected to their country-specific google. i'm guessing these are mirrors, and is only established for each country for speed-in-searching purposes. instead of getting routed all over the world to the main google servers, they get served with the mirrors. they practically will have the same results, wherever you are in the world, i would hope. so since you're in michigan, i would bet you will have access to the main google.com servers in the USA. but, if you're having trouble with your searches via google.com, try the sample alternatives above. these will also provide you with google search. if you're having problems with the local languages used for the alternatives above, you can always make them appear in english (option to do this on the right-most corner of the bottom of the google page). it's a workaround, but it's better than no google at all, until you can figure out what's wrong on your end for having this "funky" experience of yours with google. i rarely use yahoo (only for my yahoogroups, and not searches), and i never use MSN. good luck.
  2. is there no government agency in bangladesh which can provide this kind of support? they may be more knowledgeable of this kind of information you are trying to seek here in the forums for a very country-specific requirement such as yours. look for some government agency dealing with livestocks. that will require some research on your part though since i'm not familiar with bangladesh government institutions... perhaps it could be a Department of Livestocks, or some other name. they can better advise you on matters of equipment acquisition, and related issues relevant to your business of choice.on the business side, isn't it a bit risky to be undertaking this chicken hatchery business with the existing concerns on bird flu which are featured in the news lately? is there no particular risk in your area, or nearby communities on this matter? it could dampen your business if you started it and then realize this was overlooked. that's one way of losing money, after initial investment in buying machineries is done. it may not be viable then if your business is hit with an outbreak. you don't want to go bankrupt at the very beginning, although i will agree any business is a risk. just cover your bases so you can avoid the pitfalls of failure.as it is, your government can better advise you on such concerns. just find the right agency, and the right people to advise you. tell us how it goes, and good luck!
  3. clickit-hosting.com appears to be in maintenance mode. it is what it says in there when i checked...and since it came to be that i was able to read the maintenance notice, then the servers are up, it's just that there is maintenance ongoing -- but not on the server/hosting side, but from the administrator (which i assume is you). was it you who made the maintenance notice or someone from your team (if applicable)? as for your supposed "addon domain", it does not appear to be a top-level domain, and it appears to be a subdomain from another domain (which is hosted on another service, and not Xisto - Web Hosting.com). before you can manage addon domains, you have to have the rights and/or ownership of the domain you want to serve on Xisto - Web Hosting servers. and top-level domains at that.as for your support ticket, it's good that you have queued up your problem into the system. Xisto - Web Hosting staff will be able to reply back to it, sooner or later. this forum reply from me is just support coming from Xisto.com forum moderators (who have no direct involvement with Xisto - Web Hosting day-to-day issues). we're just here to give you a rough view of what may or may not be a problem, and give you an assessment to resolve it if possible. you would still have to wait an "official reply" from Xisto - Web Hosting staff for this, since you already have a support ticket in line. the availability of live support on the other hand will depend largely in timezones you are in, and if they coincide with the timezones from which live support will come from. support follow the natural course of time from which they are based of course. :Pjust be patient however.
  4. are graduation gifts part of the tradition where you are, AndrewJ? well, if it is, then it might be good to hint to your friends and family and relatives and parents to give you a nice one... like a cumulative reward of sorts for the six years you spent to reach this momentous occasion. that's what i remember from my sixth year graduation. GRADUATION GIFTS! but not to get too materialistic though, graduation is a time for you to assess the years of learning, and mark it's culmination with the outlook of moving above and beyond what you have already achieved. and it's a time of sharing your achievements (even minus the medals and ribbons and other extra-curricular recognitions), with your loved ones... those people who have in one way or another made your graduation possible -- friends, family, relatives, acquaintances, schoolmates, teachers, coaches, teammates... and most especially your parents/guardians. it's the time you can thank them, by receiving your diploma with heads held high, and with a large smile. this piece of paper, you can hang in your home, not so much for yourself, but to make your parents/guardians and all the other people around you proud. ain't that a sweet thing. graduation is also the time you can make more memories, so don't forget a coverage with a videocam, or a digital camera to capture the moment for posterity! since it's your first time to have a graduation you can set in memory for you to remember with much gusto and aplomb later on in life (unlike that one in kindergarten, as you said already), a documentation of sorts you can reminisce with (like a scrapbook, or an album, etc.) should be in order. one of the best thing i remember from my sixth grade graduation is when me and my closest friends decided to impart with each other some personal keepsakes for which they can remember me by, and vice versa. a simple caricature/cartoon from class, a miniature book with inspiring thoughts, a pendant inscribed with the name of the giver, a solo graduation picture from each friend with heartfelt dedications, our school identification cards with our young likeness on our 6th year to the dearest friend... these are just some of those i got from this experience and which i keep to remember my old friends by. congratulations on your graduation, AndrewJ. it's a step toward a more mature you, good luck! MARCH FORWARD TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE!
  5. it seems that such conspiracy theories get filtered down through the years and get ensconced firmly in our popular culture, but as theories they will remain and will persist, no matter how many times they have been debunked by many others. i doubt there will come a time when these theories will be laid to rest, since when information can be largely distributed widely (especially with the proliferation of the internet), so can disinformation be widely disseminated. weighing the vast amount of information against the amount of disinformation in each and every conspiracy theory, and then forming a judgment to the veracity of the conspiracy will befuddle even the most authoritative figures investigating these theories. of course, even an authority figure will have his/her own subjective interpretation... who says his/her objectivity in evaluating the facts can't be compromised? breaking it down, a pronouncement by an authority figure can be colored by his/her subjective leanings on the matter, to push an agenda of some kind. having said that, there REALLY ARE conspiracies which eventually turn out to be TRUE after all. sadly, however, they are not the ones in the list above. but who knows, maybe soon they will turn out to be true themselves!? here are some conspiracies which have transcended the theory stage to the reality stage: 1. THE BUSINESS PLOT 2. THE JULY 20 PLOT 3. OPERATION AJAX 4. THE GUNPOWDER PLOT 5. THE TUSKAGEE PLOT 6. OPERATION SNOW WHITE 7. PROJECT MKULTRA don't laugh at the source though [1] [2]. you can read further on how things worked out for these seven conspiracies. each of these plots sound outrageous at first, but somehow conspiracy theorists hit the nail on the head accurately for every one of them and proved naysayers wrong.

  7. will try your second solution, SM... (thunderbird will just flood my drive with pop3 emails+attachments, which is not part of my routine anymore after i switched a long ago to gmail -- where they reside permanently from thenon). thanks! any more alternatives still welcome. --- update: no joy using Gmail Drive shell extension to help manage my gmail attachment downloads... by the looks of it, i would have to resend the emails with attachments to myself, and appending the GMAILFS: in everything. too much work, and i have a 2398 MB worth of emails with attachments. uploading is no problem on the other hand, and it will be useful for making an online archive of files i want to be readily available by simply accessing gmail.
  8. is there a download manager that i can use to manage my downloads of GMAIL attachments? i want to queue up my downloads in such a way that i can simply leave it running in the background (and possibly resume downloads too, if connection is lost). anybody with relevant experience in this respect, and who can recommend a download manager which will work? i don't want to download all kinds of download managers out there to test it one by one, so your experience in this regard is highly appreciated. thanks in advance!
  9. so that is where one of santa's (rein)deer have gone! santa blames global warming, the polar caps where the (rein)deers have its stables have melted...

  11. glad to note that the bomb threat turned out to be a false alarm. as they say, better be safe than sorry. we don't want to hear news of another school incident which results in death to students and teachers, however far-flung it might be from the rest of the world. at least you're all safe, even if you and your schoolmates experienced some inconveniences along the way.
  12. DON'T PANIC!!! still good to play... and how i wish there is a mobile version for my phone for this. and i'm still on my front porch (inside the game )... and the ceiling is collapsing all over me (after 19 moves)... better luck next life!
  13. people tend to believe that it takes a lot of time to do meditations and visualization exercises. and a lot of people will tend to shy away from meditation believing that since it is time-consuming, they won't be able to allot enough time with already a very hectic schedule in our modern lives. if you think that way, i encourage you to revise your own preconceptions about meditation as time-consuming, since with J-A-M (or just-a-minute) program, you can indulge yourself in achieving relaxation, concentration, visualization, meditation, silence, sharing and connecting --- in a span of just a minute. after all, you can spare just a minute, can't you? especially when you are stressed for most of the time, it is much more important for you to spare just a minute to transform your chaotic world into a calm and peaceful one... there are several meditations and visualizations you can try (21 in all), with or without accompanying music. and you can always do it anywhere and anytime... for online use, you can use J-A-M's website; and you can also download your selections if you want to use them offline. make J-A-M a part of your daily habit, and enrich yourself.
  14. 811 search results on google for m12251... now that's a long page to wade in for the next link to follow. LOLZ update: figured it all out, up to the very end, but i'll let sonesay (or whoever wins) to earn his keep instead of me grabbing the freebie credits.
  15. read more about the Nigerian Scam, or 419 Scam, or Advance Fee Fraud: http://www.snopes.com/fraud/advancefee/nigeria.asp https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_fee_fraud a lot of variations of the scam are in effect to defraud unwitting victims of their money. you should be very careful in dealing with people who promise you fortunes with little effort on your part, especially when you deal with them online. avoid them like the plague, and don't let promises of large amounts of money impair your judgment.
  16. that's one nasty ending! the moral lesson? NEVER STAND IN FRONT OF A RUSHING TRAIN! nice drawing btw.
  17. try and check if you can do your conversion using SUPER. google will give you the correct link at the top of the search results if you type that keyword! however, to save you the trouble, try this: http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html -- by the way, it's free. btw, i haven't tried it personally, but they have a forum wherein you can find support if you need it in using this application. if you're having troubles downloading SUPER from their main site, try the mirror found here (i will not hotlink the file here, but it's there): http://www.videohelp.com/software/SUPER
  18. oh USB, good. interface that with your handycam and your laptop. then try if you can browse the handycam (when USB is connected, it will usually create a new drive for you to access). if you can't browse using windows explorer, try windows movie maker (assuming that you have it installed on your laptop which comes along with windows XP). try to IMPORT your handycam video using that.
  19. what available cables do you have as part of your sony handycam pack? they usually bundle up some DV interface cables you can use to transfer videos to a desktop or laptop for editing purposes. the only question would be if your laptop has the ports available to interface with your handycam. i had experience with transferring videos from handycam to my desktop, but i had to purchase a firewire card to make the transfer possible using the cable. it didn't require me to install any additional software to facilitate the transfer though. i simply used the windows movie maker which came with windows XP to browse through the contents of the handycam, and from there move the videos to my desktop. i also used the same application (windows movie maker) to initially edit the video files. however you can also use other software available to you for editing purposes if you want, which i also did, like the previous installation of ulead video studio which i have. :Pgood luck with your endeavor!
  20. too late for you, my friend. polaroid is starting to phase out all formats of instant film, and supplies for their film products for polaroid cameras will be lasting only until the end of 2009. manufacturing of their polaroid cameras ended a year or two ago, i believe. apparently they will now shift their focus to flat-screen televisions and digital cameras as that is what consumers demand.perhaps you'll find your local online auction site, like ebay, to still carry polaroid cameras for you to purchase. however, how much you intend to enjoy it, it will be short-lived unless new manufacturers are licensed to produce your needed supplies for your polaroid camera.
  21. perhaps stmike is supposed to say "3 minutes without air" instead of "3 hours without shelter", at least when it pertains to Nature's 3-3-3 survival rule -- air-water-and-food in the sequence of surviving without, in timeframes of minutes, days, and weeks. the "3 hours without shelter", though not in the usual 3-3-3 quote is a generally accepted rule -- in extreme hot or cold conditions. another similar rule exists pertaining to 3 minutes in freezing water before hypothermia sets in.
  22. ouch! i feel sad for your cellphone... good thing your phone is intact however, with just the LCD screen suffering. but your eyes will suffer more if you don't get it fixed sooner. three months is a long time to dilly-dally in getting a new screen for your mobile. is your phone still under warranty? better to ask where you bought it if they can do the LCD screen replacement if it is still possible.but if not, the option left is to have it repaired elsewhere. LCD screens are much cheaper, and i think all they have to do is disconnect the wires leading to the LCD screen and replacing it with the new one, then reconnecting it again. i've had experience with LCD screen replacement, but with a nokia brand. it takes less than ten minutes in my case to have it replaced, and i've been able to view how it was done. the only problem is finding a shop which you can trust not to ruin your phone some more since it is still working fine minus the LCD. i'm not particular with the cost of the LCD replacement, especially for your sony ericsson w810i model, but LCDs come cheap in my part of the world... certainly not half the price of the phone itself. scout around some more to find the best and cheapest option available for you.it could be a problem if repair shops don't specialize in repairing your mobile brand. it would also be a good idea if you stay with the repairman while they are fixing your phone so you can observe that they don't nick parts. test your phone before AND after in their presence also, so they will know that you exactly know what your phone's problem is in the first place, and that they don't charge you for additional expenses which they may spring on you if they think you can easily be manipulated. i don't know, it's just me, being paranoid... but you should too!
  23. that is a combination on your thread subject that i can't seem to resist, stmike! WEIRD + WONDERFUL + COMPUTER + FURNITURE! but you really got me at WEIRD in the first place, so here i am with my comments. :Pthe Vision One Computer Workstation is a little over-the-top for me, at least design-wise. too many pivoting elbow supports seem a bit distracting. an all-black finish would have been more appealing instead of red, and i'm partial also to blue as rvalkass said above if it can be customized that way. the selling point for me however is the monitor array plus the posh seats. :Dthe X-Rocker Pro Gaming Chair on the other hand is just a souped-up rocking chair in my point of view. now this Steelcase Walkstation is not soon to become a best-seller. although it intends to cater to health fanatics in the workplace, a multi-tasking of work and exercise is something not really within the culture of the office. perhaps you'll see these in gyms for use by the secretary's and receptionists, but i doubt it very much if those people would enjoy the thing. :DSmartBeds Computer Beds... now we're talking! that is something which is both practical and creative rolled into one! although the price is a little bit steep, which is a downside of course. but the design is really something which can easily be replicated, don't you think? knock-offs of this particular design could be made available by business-minded individuals, especially to cater to a much wider clientele including students... at a lesser cost. i wouldn't mind a DIY project for this one, just to cut down on the cost. i'm just a little troubled if it can be stable and will not topple over when the bed is folded up and the base/foundation becomes narrow. will this thing be bound to a wall for additional support? the Ejection Seat Office Chair is something akin to a sadomasochist chair. just add some chain straps! LOLZ! perhaps a good conversation piece in the office, and a pop-art piece for the cultured ones. maybe of good use if you can force your boss to use it. and a remote-control is provided for every employee to deploy ejection with just a push of the button!
  24. since you already have servers of your own, ask your technical department to set up an FTP for your employees' access (a centralized section for all of them [with a uniform username/password for all] or even individualized ftp if you desire [one for each employee with a unique username/password]). as for the FTP client or application you will need your employees to have to enable them to upload their files, you may opt for portable applications, with no installation required, so they can have them ready on their personal USB drives or their laptops. http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/filezilla_portable http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  25. 7-Zip is an open source file archiver, similar to winrar and winzip, among others. a more detailed description, and its history can also be found on the internet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7zip
