Sorry, no private servers for LOTRO.You can get LOTRO cheap right now. $9.99 for the complete edition and $9.99 per month for the subscription. Where else can you get such deal for a MMO? Not to mention its one of the most stable DX10 based MMO available.

Ballmer: Stay On Windows Xp And You Will Face A Backlash
onscreen replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Operating Systems
Its entirely up to the processor makers. Intel confirmed that its not hard to have VT included into consumer based processors while AMD have the current range processor ready for VT, the AM2, AM2+ and AM3 based processors. The options now is stick with XP or upgrade your hardware for Windows 7 with Virtual XP. -
Thats right, paper diffuse the light so it is soften when the light hits the subject, causing not only a natural shadow and also a way to kill red eye. I tend to prefer tissue as it have the best amount of penetration for light, diffusing it more than a 80gsm (standard A4 paper). For the optimal result, try a diffused bounce flash, the result is 0% red eye chance with a very warmth shadow and skin tone.
-
Not reliable. Here is how the red eye reduction thing works in most cameras. It acutally dims the flash light to a reasonable amount so that the light falloff is away from the subject with the trade off for a weaker flash light that will dims the subject more than usual.

Web Design "process" Not sure how to really phrase that...
onscreen replied to rvalkass's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I miss this out. If this is your very first time, make dummy sites, functional ones and host up. If questions start flooding in, this is the best sentence i can think off : This is my first opportunity in doing this, as shown is the dummy sites i made during my studying years which you may find it usable in considering me in completing your mentioned project / work. p/s : Always stay low, suggest what you think you can do best, dont blast off boastfully. First impression is where a client judge for the rest of their assurance on you. -

You got 70% of it right. I am commenting your list through my 5 years of web designing freelance. Draw up a specification for the site - You dont draw totally, your write and sketch what you have in mind, this is usually called a Proposal, presenting your ideas and persuade the client Preliminary sketches (still by hand tongue.gif ) - Best method, storyboard. You dont only do initial sketches of the front page and assume that the client know how will other pages looks like. Take the best ideas and mock them up in the GIMP - Not only the best ideas. Client always like MORE options! Throw in some of your ideas along with the selected ones. Code backend to the design (HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, whatever is required) - refer the next point below Add copy and images - Time management, buddy. Layout your HTML source, your tables, div or whatever needed. Setup MYSQL database first, lay the foundation solid. When you know you are about to finish the coding, start putting dummy text first (http://www.lipsum.com/) and images. While you are about to finish the site with all the required elements, start to do offline test on the site, make sure the database works fine..etc etc.. so you can make changes on the way. Test the site and show to client! This is vital as they always love to see progress. Talk with them on any changes. Dont keep it till to the very end. Make sure make sure that you do cross browser compatibility check before finalizing the work! Huge mistake to new freelancers "NEVER INSIST client to USE FIREFOX ONLY" Open up all possible browser and amaze them Payment : First off, Upfront. 25% of the amount you discussed. That is the assurance fee between you and the client. If the client reject / halt the project, that amount is non refundable. Make sure you have an agreement letter, quotation and invoice. Paper proof works very well here, so dont miss out those. Delivery : Do not , i repeat, DO NOT deliver the finished work before you get the rest of the payment. Have control on the web hosting account and all possible resource before client cash in the balance amount. This is the point where most horrible clients run off. Negotiation : Dont please the client. Do the standard way. Even if your client is a friend or relative, dont go according to relationship, go according to what you are there for, tradeskilling. Charge reasonably for your hardwork. Nothing is free for commercial clients. If your client is an NGO, check the history, background before slapping the FREE / waive service. This is my advice so far. Hope it helps -
Nothing to do with software in total. One of the obvious cause of random reboots is due to overheating issues. Check your HSF of any kind to see if its clogged with dust / dirt. Overhaul your casing interior, clean it and redo the booting. Overheating isnt only from the processor itself but alot from the mainbaord north / southbridge HSF. Clean any air vents , airflow path to make a better flow for the air.Next possible cause is faulty memory. Faulty memory is due to some interference or poor airflow in your casing. If you have more than a slot of memory module, test the booting by unplugging one of it and do the same on the next.I am curious, what Pesario model are you currently using?

Lets put it in this way. Vista was initially developed to be a new technology piece. But failed to keep majority computers to run smoothly due to bad memory management and unstable kernel. So in the end, only medium and high configuration computers get to run Vista smoothly. Windows 7 surely is everyone favorite at the moment due to stable kernel and fast Aero effect. What i have tried is to have Windows 7 installed in a 1GB of ram with 9400GT computer configuration and works fine even with with Aero effect running.

With respect Rvalkass, do deeper find about this before making senseless suggestions. Pirated or legit, the Master Collection have major issues with installation and licensing since day 1. Due to implementation of new features and licensing system, the installation became a nightmare. Even on trial, i had installation issues that I HAVE to solve it with the cracks from pirates. I would suggest, goggle for solution or seek adobe knowledgebase for more in-depth solution on installing it. Pirate or not, the installation is the same except for the license activation. I usually go for standalone package than the collections. Buying and maintaining what i use and that fits my budget.

1. In every MMO i play, the very first thing i do is to read about the game, understand the stability, the scheduled downtime and the developer's respond to updates etc. Lastly i peep into the community of the particular MMO before really getting into it. But i wont agree many would do what i do but i always take note on things before hand. There is a saying "Understand the water before stirring it" During my WoW gaming days, i dont login to WoW on Tuesday and usually on that day i do room cleaning or read a couple of chapters in my novel. 2.That is something no one can avoid as all MMO goes mature with tons of updates, its something we cant avoid. The company usually assume that you backup all the updates for future use. Lord of The Rings Online on the other hand manage to have an updated client all the time through their Download Manager and its developer, Turbine, is the only company i know that can keep an updated client all times. Opening up new realms isnt something worth to do. Blizzard sees that the need of new servers is low so they prefer to have you queuing up rather than wasting the resources on opening up new realms when the demand of transfer over or starting fresh isnt in demand.
-
Just like you pay for the internet and you cant it due to some maintenance or upgrades. Frankly i dont find it stupid. Which is more complicating? Bought a MMO that have frequent downtime or a scheduled downtime to prevent all faults?

Used to play that game in the year 2006. Its fun to some extend but the grind is tedious if you play as a dwarf. With the introduction of experience multiplier when you kill mobs, it ease up the grind but the results isnt much noticeable.Personally, for Korean MMOs, i prefer private servers due to the zero tolerance of bots.

Which One Is The Best Dsl Modem........
onscreen replied to tinoymalayil's topic in Hardware Workshop
Yes, ZTE is from China. If you can go for Dlink. They have good firmware and known for its heavy duty usage stability. IF you high high budget, Belkin is the brand to go. -
Windows 7..the New Operating System Of Microsoft
onscreen replied to tinoymalayil's topic in General Discussion
I entirely disagree with that. The scenario on Win7 is just like what had happen to Apple Mac OS X. When Mac OS X released, its a disaster to Mac users, very limited support, poor stability and poor software support so many turned back to OS 9. Until OSX 10.1 released, everything changed, vast improvements in the core kernel and support. Since then, the user base expanded and its a green light for the transition from OS 9 to OSX. What Microsoft is doing is Vista as a technology testbed, testing the market but the WOW effect isnt done quite right. Instead, they rip off the whole OS and reassemble and Win 7 was born with a much better kernel and stability. Best even, the WOW factor got doubled. Microsoft do admit Vista isnt working well as intended, its more like a rush product in to compete with OSX 10.5. Instead, Win7 from my experience, i use it more than my Mac Book Pro. Its respond is much faster than expected. I am using Windows 7 for Production use : 3D and composition in Autodesk Maya, zBrush and Foundry Nuke. Web design in Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. I do use it for gaming as currently i have Far Cry 2 and Anarchy Online and a closed beta shooter installed. I am very satisfied with it. -
Its awkward to have high contrast photos for Easter. You are rights on how contrast light up emotion in photos but not for a cheerful day like Easter. The wash out, from what i see and experience, its intended. The mild tone brings a delivered a different emotion to viewers. Its soft in general. I like it very much and its been years since i last doing that. Not everything should be done in a way, photography is an art and art is to be explored and experiment.

Got my Photoshop and Dreamweaver CS4 early this year and all i can say, if you felt that CS3 is stable enough for your work / leisure, dont upgrade. Unless you are in need to use more memory, then upgrade to CS4 for its 64 bit flavor. Not much of noticeable improvements except for its ultra flexible user interface.

Its stationary while the picture was taken. Dragonflies usually idle alot than flying unless there is some disturbance around. It is known that dragonflies is one of the best subject for insect macro photography due to its long idling time and less activity. A flying dragonfly is abit hard to capture unless you have a large aperture lens and a fast shutter speed. A hovering dragonfly requires good timing due to its sudden leave for other spot.@ZettaAIR : The quality of a picture isnt based of the camera. I would not consider it as luck but sometimes, if you take a picture blindly without worrying its technical settings, you will mostly end up a very nice picture.

Who cares about the Terms and Condition or EULA these days? Very few read it since its a wall of text and that makes them dizzy. As long they like the game, none cares much about how long is the downtime etc.5 years now, 9 million players, many got used to the long downtime. What is stated in the agreement is you own the game, the rights to play and the permission to play but YOU dont have the rights over the account and its the property of Blizzard. They have the rights to terminate, suspend, cancel your account when they see fit based on any regulations or terms. Since the downtime is scheduled and its announced before hand.

IMO, either side is good. Both of the storyline is epic. I played both side in a PvE realm and whats important is how the players play the faction.Tauren is a spinoff from Minotaur but in WoW, Tauren is a nature loving race and calm on the outside, hot tempered in the inside. That what makes them unique.

Bluetooth Or Usb Cable Which one is best to connect the phone?
onscreen replied to flash4satheesh's topic in Mobile Phones
I prefer USB cable than anything. Bluetooth may give a less clutter usage but current Bluetooth standard isnt really reliable for data transfer. -
14 Days from CCP and 21 days from Steam client on the trial. I used to play EvE Online and pilot one of the baddest Gallente Battlecruiser. The fun part is that i am a tugboat in most warfare, salvaging all the wrecks for income. EvE isnt just about PVP. Its about trust and alliance. Its up to your playstyle in this sandbox MMO, you can be cunning or truthful. Unique part is the character development. Your playstyle is the foundation to the development and the priority of skill development too. I strongly disagree on this. Carebear or non alike will still enjoy EVE Online. If you hate combat and all the pvp, you can be a trader specialize in manufacturing, mining and so on and your only true enemy is the pirates. If you like combating but dislike in being part of the pvp, ratting mission running can be a good source for enjoying EVE Online. Generally its up to you on how you see things running in EVE, you are the judge to yourself when it come to these.
