Web Standards Compliance Test For Browsers Check your Browser here
BuffaloHelp replied to jlhaslip's topic in The Internet
This is what it looks under IE7 For my work, unfortunately, I have to use IE. My Windows CE.net was designed to utilize ActiveX to synchronize with my work database... I hate to install browser after browser. My webdesigns are not this complicated where it needs to be Web Standard, thank goodness. They are just plain javascripts and php/html. Didn't Firefox just released version 2? I'm surprised FF is getting ready for version 3... such a fast version updates in short period of time. So the curious point is what if it's not a browser translating what would be the standard but the standard revised according to a browser translation? Meaning, what if the standard is written towards more favored browser than the rest? -
Just to be clear, cookies do decide which ads are to appear. To understand further this does not mean your computer has the necessary cookies but it can be your ISP server cache (when you view a website it's not directly from the site source but a cached page from an internet node--but that's another story). So if your IP range recently visited some place similar that the sites track IP's, the ads might be inclined to "inject" certain ads more than others.I never see other ads but "free web hosting by Xisto - Web Hosting" or by Xisto... and I'm wondering if this is due to my firewall privacy control that blocks 3rd party cookies and removing private header information. My IP address is often recorded as "BlockedReferral" for most trackers. This is due to my current firewall.

When your post is edited/deleted it will reflect immediately on your hosting credits. This was the new hosting credit system implemented since the board version 2.1.4 (as announced in Alert and Notice). Bringing new editing feature eliminated need for moderators to edit your own post, thus an automated hosting credit adjustment was needed.Topic resolved and now closed.

At least for United States law it is not legal to have multiple copies of DVD you own--only ONE is allowed, after you contact the distributor of said DVD. As for music CD it differes from a distributor to another distributor. This 'able to backup one copy' condition is not to have an extra copy for your car, etc, but it's due to surface damage that might hinder your entertainment during a playing back. When you purchase a DVD media you are actually paying for 'enjoyment' value and not the ownership of the movie. Because the movie is owned by the studio it was released from and its studio production people. So you cannot have multiple ownership of something you only paid once for it--according to loosely translated terms. Additional legal fine prints: When you rent a DVD movie, let's say from BlockBuster, only 1 person per rental is to be viewed--additional viewing person must pay for the rental cost. But this isn't the issue or the subject in discussion. I just wanted to clarify (or further confuse) that the digital copyright law is very hard to understand. Anyway, to backup a DVD without losing quality is a simple matter of can you fit all into one disk? If you don't mind splitting to two disks you don't have to sacrifice the playback quality. But DVD5 (4.7GB) can only handle about 2 hours of movie. This means sometimes you have to strip off all other extra features--scene selection and previews, even subtitles and commentary sections. DVD9 (8.4GB) can hold 1:1 copy but it's in DVD DL format. Not many old DVD players can support this playback format. Since DVD5 is more common and inexpensive, people are resort to compressing the quality to meet the limited space. And you don't mind losing previews and all other features but the main movie, you can fit most of movies in one DVD+-R disk. So how do you make a successful backup when DVD anti-copy protection won't let you make one? One solution is to contact the distributor of a DVD and request for instruction on backing up. But you will find that they would rather replace your "damaged" disk if you send in the original DVD media accompanied with proof of purchase (receipt). Who wants to pay for $10 round shipping when you can go out and buy another one for little more than that? Backing up yourself is the next best solution. Using DVDFab Decrypter is currently the best way with Windows platform computers amoung free software. DVDFab Decrypter allows you to strip and/or compress the quality to fit the necessary limited DVD+-R space. To further compress to fit into a single DVD+-R disk, use DVD Shrink to adjust the compression ratio. These two program can be used together by using DVDFab Decrypter to make a full image to your harddrive. Then using DVD Shrink you can adjust higher compression before burning to a disk. Although backing up is your right, overcoming copy protection is against the law. So it's catch 22 always... All previous topics were closed because after explaining the process of backing up a DVD the next natural question is, "how do I make this particular DVD movie to backed up successfully?" or "where do I get this program for free?" Helping out how to overcome copy protection is against Xisto forum rules. And the discussion to a particular DVD backup software is basically covered in Truefusion's provided link. And a specific discussion to a software should be resorted to that program's forum. Afterdawn is another great site to discuss DVD backup software. PS, DVD+DL can be played on some older DVD players if Booktype is set to DVD-ROM. This is a special finishing process after the burning process. Please refer to Afterdawn for further detail. This is another reason, the Booktype, why some DVD players cannot read DVD+R. DVD-R are automatically set to DVD-ROM at the end of burning process.

It's been bugging me how this "effect" didn't have a proper name. And then this morning, walking down the Vegas Strip, it dawned on me. So I searched. And I think I found the correct term for this effect. Most commonly used terms is annotating image or parts of image. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The correct term, at least I can tell, is Image Region vocabulary http://www.bnowack.de/w3photo/pages/image_vocabs It's a mixture of XML with coordinates and an image. This is called RDF (Resource Description Framework). I'm still trying to understand how it is actually achieved but a demo generator in this page is the best I can find: http://www.kanzaki.com/docs/sw/img-annotator.html This site selects a region using JAVA script. Then you enter all tags for necessary fields and it generates RDF. And the final image is generated with an ID tag per region previously selected. Then the RDF can be used to describe individually or like the tool tip on the image. Pretty cool. I hope someone can isolate and strip the source scirpt so that it can be used on anyone's hosting account. A demonstration of page in action: http://www.kanzaki.com/bass/the-giant.rdf

P90x Muscle Confusion Workout Regiment as seen on TV
BuffaloHelp replied to BuffaloHelp's topic in Health & Fitness
As a MD in Chemistry, researcher of BioChemistry and employeed by Medicinal and Molecular Chemistry (just to say that I'm pretty good with the medical understanding of human body ) a human body does become content to certain repetitive motions. This is often the very force that prevents from anyone into advancing to the next stage of fitness.Of course, my statement does not mean that eveyone should be bulging with well defined muscle tissue, like BBQ hotdogs on one sunny summer day in Texas.I have been a consistant student of daily fitness routines but for the longest time I seem to have uncontollable affinity to lovely love handles that no one really loves. I have adjusted by diets and participated in few marathons but my excess flap seems to stay cozy to my body. So when a late night TV commercial proclaimed to change my body, of course I obviously bought into it.Perhaps my body really got used to my daily routine, although I think my daily routine is considered "extreme" to my peers. My calorie intake is no more than 1900 daily. I run about 1 hour, 2 times a week. I devote 20 minutes on weight training 3 times a week. And well resting good 6 hours a day in deep sleep. I do not suffer any known stress for I know stress can cause some fat storage around body's abdomen. So, knowing some background to my routine could you devise a workout schedule? My suggestion would be not to post the whole thing under one post...but you can act like my online trainer. You can post maybe a month's worth or two week's worth exercise program and I will reply to that topic with my progress. You can post another topic on dietary needs for those weeks. And when that week is over you can post another topic that changes routines for the next phase of fitness. I don't want to be super muscular--for bigger and larger than my body's genetic means I have to keep feeding the muscle to maintain the same muscle mass. I do want to tone my body to a shape that is healthy, but extra defined muscle doesn't hurt :PAnd who knows...you don't have to customize to just my personal fitness routine... -
There's new workout informercial that's been filling the United State's air waves: it's called P90X. Backed by very popular Beach Body workout program, this P90X promisses to cut and define your body in 90 days. https://www.beachbody.com/ The main principle is to confused the body by eliminating the muscle plateau that is common amoung all workout regiments. The workout system encourages pushing the body to the maximum breaking point throughout the entire working out duration. And the workout schedule calls for 3 weeks of total committed exercise followed by 1 week of relex. And the next level is harder than the previous scheduled with the same 3 weeks of total training and 1 week of relexing. This is repeated for the next 90 days. Of course, a balanced diet is strictly enforced to see the claimed result. Has this theory of working out crossed anyone's mind? If so, how reliable, do you think, is this claim? Is it worth buying into this commercialism or can someone come up with poorman's P90X program?

Ah... Most likely that certain "functions" or commands might have been disabled on the different server. Gamma server's current PHP information is found here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ See if your other host may be different from Xisto. I don't know the source of your script but usually it's due to Safe_Mode being ON on a hosting server that can disable some commands. Xisto Safe_Mode is OFF. This is also true for Xisto - Web Hosting.

Cookies are just part of the answer.Since Xysis is an advertisement service by Xisto, much like Adsense, so those who purchased Xysis ad service sometimes inject ads that should not be "under the terms." Please capture a screenshot and URL. This URL link is NOT the end destination but the referral link--it's very long with bunch of characters that may be 10 or more characters or digits long. And either send PM to OpaQue or myself. Thank you and we apologize in advance for any discomfort.

I am so tempted to just conclude here by stressing, "US hardware should only run with US software." But what I'm more curious is have you updated Windows with US Windows updates? What if updates are controlled region specific? Very similar event occured when I took a laptop from United States to another country as a donation to a cause. When the OS needed updates they simply clicked on update and it was all good. But not much later (about 1 month into it) the laptop started to show frequent blue screen and/or hang-ups. This later was addressed at Microsoft conference in Rochester, NY that the operating system released to other countries are not the same as the US release. It's not just a language difference but ranging from encryption system to core instruction codes. Intel, would not confirm publicly, also stated that chips released to other countries are not the same as US version(s). This, I think, has something to do with the security where the very hardware released to others could not be used against the country that developed...but that's another story. So, what if updates were not "compatible" with the Windows version? Compaq's Presario series were reported in the past that certain updates were causing malfunctions in US as well as abroad. Can Acer share the similar symptom? Well, since your computer does not boot correctly how about using the good old method of using floppy drive to do your fdisk and format? Can you boot to a floppy? If so you can use any boot disk to fdisk and format. Your laptop's BIOS then set to CDROM boot and see if you can reinstall. ...or have you tried this already

60cm is about 24 inches (for those who are in different measurement )Ack! To walk around or live with 2 feet of lard in my belly? If a bullet doesn't kill me, the massive heartattack will...I think I would rather invest in a kevlar vest.

Here is another thought.Articles published all over Xbox 360 forums suggest that by taking Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive itself and adapting to a computer can result in very cheap HD-DVD player. These findings come from purchasing what seemed to be a broken/as-is Xbox 360 console, taking it apart and adapting with slimline 50pin to 40pin ATAPI board (around $20 average). Broken Xbox 360 consoles are listed around $35 on an average under eBay.So, if one's graphics video card supports HDMI wouldn't this be the ultimate cheap HD-DVD solution? That is, of course, if one is willing to use one's PC as a DVD player--not everyone has a PC near the HD television/projector.

Only one version of PHP is available as of this time. Xisto - Web Hosting will not revert back to older PHP version. However, if PHP version compatibility is an issue you can always seek scripting help here in Xisto.PHP versions are different from one to another to secure the script, hosting account and ultimately free from exploits. Therefore your script should reflect matching with the current version.Majority of upgrades from one PHP version to another is mainly in how PHP native commands perform. A common PHP commands will not be affected if PHP version is higher on hosting account and what your script is built-on.

For most part, was there any Windows update performed during those 2 months?United States machines are designed to run with United States program--meaning if you have US hardware, it is known that running other language packs for Windows for other programs/updates may lead to memory leak. This can cause to hang the Windows operation or can lead to excessive CPU usage.Whatever the reason may be I would first try to see if your CPU is running at critical temperature. There's a good chance that the heatsink may have come loose or not making a firm contact. If you are willing to take it apart or leave it to your local computer shop, have them look into proper heatsink placement. If you want to be sure, you can try to measure the CPU temperature by inserting a thermometer to the venting slot. Try to touch the heatsink as much as you can. I think the tolerant CPU temperature for a laptop is under 147F or 64C on an average. A good heatsink can maintain a CPU temperature of 105F or 40C.

There is a mailing address, however, it will be an international mailing address for Xisto - Web Hosting payment processing center is located in India.Darran, I'm sorry I should have been clear--PayPal with checking account tie is only available in United States. This is PayPal's terms and conditions.

If you start with plan#1 and upgrade to plan#2, you still require to have at least 30 credits to upgrade. So it is better, loosely said, to start with plan#2.You are allowed to have only ONE free web hosting per person/household. Period. No exception! You may request for one free hosting from Xisto and one free hosting from Xisto. If you do request one free hosting from each of hosting forums, be sure to have two different cpanel username.

SpeedBooster network card needs SpeedBooster router. Remember, the fastest connection is only as fast as the slowest connection in the network. This means even though you may have the fastest LAN connections, if your pipline is bottlenecked you are at the mercy of the slowest feeding internet speed.Having said that, I used something similar USB network card by Netgear to connect TiVo v2 to my friend's home router so that he can transfer recorded TiVo shows to his DVD burner. Believe it or not having an antenna is just for the show these days. These wireless devices are so good that they really don't need antennas to be vertically straight or aim to the correct coordinates.

I think some creative thinking can help you the best here. The first is the isometric exercises to strengthen your current muscle mass.I recall the movie, "Rocky" where couple of makeshift equipments helped to build body mass. Rocky, in the movie, made huge dumbbells with two large stones and one iron rod. Or pulling even heavier object with pulley and rope.According to some exercise catalogues, there are traveling DB's you can purchase that can be filled with either water or sand to give you customized weight experience.Although it may not be a YMCA quality weights, I think your body would not know the difference when its being pushed to the limit.

I'm afraid instant payment methods are required for either hosting credit purchase or purchasing Xisto - Web Hosting account.Just to cover all basis, PayPal does not require for you to have a credit card--you can tie it to your checking/saving account to make a payment. Is this not what you had in mind?

I am not a quitter--never was and never will be--so I am not quitting caffeine out of my diet! :PI will, however, try to lose 50lbs off my waist. That will round up my number to nice 250. I didn't realize the toll that fast foods have on my wee little body. This year I am planning to double the fund raise than last year. This is something of my personal resolution that I have been doing since 1992. Although I have been able to obtain it pretty much every year but by announcing out loud, it renews my spirit. I have been to every continent except for Antarctica. Although I'm sure there's nothing else to see but knowing that I made my ways through 7 continents would be pretty awesome thing to do--before I, continent or time is no more. I wonder snlildude87 still lives there...I can bring some care packages for his little habitat

Seeking 91 Mustang Lx Club Or Community
BuffaloHelp replied to mojoman's topic in General Discussion
Not finding any Mustang club on the net is odd. Mustang has been highly sought after car, amoung other cars. A quick search showed this website http://www.wildhorsesclub.com/ which seems to be the biggest one out of all searches. Try broaden search with key words "mustang car" and "club" like so http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=mustang+css&ei=UTF-8&nojs=1 Although you may not find larger members than you initially thought, joining large "general" Mustang club could lead to exposure for other "specified" owners/clubs. -
The issue seems to be resolved because I cannot find the exact symptom. Please update us, or at least the screenshot, with your situation. Otherwise, this topic will close in few days.
