Nice!I like the way you incorporated the headlight with just a subtle tone. I know it was requested but that's great the way you merged it in. How did you managed to keep the bright light, lens flare or kept the same bright flash and screened the headlight?

BuffaloHelp replied to eyzzat's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Good thing comes to those who wait... Say "thank you" and be sure to give a credit where credit is due. Another excellent job, truefusion. That is just simply marvelous. -
Holy macaro! That is awesome! I normally have bit more to say but my mouth is still open...

Armored Core Sig Best one yet, IMO.
BuffaloHelp replied to Kubi's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I think the hotlink is enabled. I cannot see the image but the direct link works. Nicely done! Unless I did know your name, it reads "Hu8I" initially. It's nice animation. How about instead of going across vertically, go across diagonally? -
I'm not sure if this will work but open Windows WordPad or anything that can edit your .htaccess file and see if it matches this. All others should be removed. This was my default .htaccess which I backed up to my local drive. It's always nice to backup even a little file like this. I have removed my info and placed with a generic name. # -FrontPage-IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*<Limit GET POST>order deny, allowdeny from allallow from all</Limit><Limit PUT DELETE>order deny, allowdeny from all</Limit>AuthName yoursite.trap17.com/AuthUserFile /home/Your_cpanel_user_ID/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwdAuthGroupFile /home/Your_cpanel_user_ID/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp Note: Change "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/; to your site's name and "Your_cpanel_user_ID" to your cpanel ID. Since everyone's .htaccess file starts with the same default values I'm assuming it's safe to share this information. Otherwise please let me know.

Try deleting all files and folders under public_html EXCEPT for the followings: and of course reset your database by deleting the user and user permission. And if you had addon domains delete them first.

Since kazaa and its methods alike are borderline of breaking copyrights and board rules, this is going to be some tough discussion. But I know that there are some bomb files out there that edits your Windows registry or folder explorer from preventing playing or showing kazaa or other P2P related download files from granting the proper access. This means that you may have successfully downloaded a file using one of P2P software but you won't be able to play or view that file. If this is the case for you, the only way I know is either registry patch or fresh install. Or it can be a simple software removal...

Banner Requests For New Homepage and Forum

HA HA HA I knew you would get what I was trying to convey. If you think I should include the whole phrase, just let me know. -
Please do not post questions in Tutorial section. Either you make and post a tutorial or don't. When a moderator sees the relevance to your post with Tutorial section, your post will be moved accordingly. Remember all that the topic starter has the responsibility to create a topic that is worthy of long, quality discussions that can benefit both Xisto forum AND members who are participating. This is the very core reason that the topic title and description are VERY important. It is also why we eliminate duplicate or redundant topics and moderate spam posts.Moving to software.

Bandwidth Caution: Extreme dumb question

The Term Punk revealed split topic from What A Dork Really Is...
BuffaloHelp replied to Tyssen's topic in General Discussion
PUNK is all about the attitude. Punk promotes anarchy and recognizes no authority but chaos. Yet, punk is governed by its own set of rules. So it's not mainly associated with music although, these days it seems like that's where all it is related. And somewhere along the line, the UK punks defined what punk would look alike--leather jackets with chrome spikes, black army boots, sometimes heavy make-ups like the 80's Boy George and don't forget those wild hair styles. To have an idea what it means by punk, the movie SLC Punk! (Salt Lake City) is a pretty good example. -
Sharing The Files With Proffesional I got the cable
BuffaloHelp replied to illdevilinc's topic in Software
This may sound weird but here is what I've done to make it possible for Professional and Home version to share files. With the Home Edition Just go to your any folder you'd like to share and enable sharing. Simple enough With the Professional Edition When you access My Network Places, you'll notice that you can't see your own folder that you marked for sharing. If this is true here's how I circumvented. Since it's just between intranetwork, I first marked which folder(s) I was going to share. I then enabled sharing to the entire hard drive that the folder belonged, i.e. C: drive. I know, it's hard to believe. Once it was complete with the permission changes I was able to see the sharing only folders using My Network Places from Professional Edition. And also from Home Edition computer. You do not need to apologize. That's what this forum is all about, isn't it--asking questions? -
Banner Requests For New Homepage and Forum

Well well now... I can't have something I lost sleep over to simple "stretch" out and deface my work lol Here is the properly proportioned one. 635 or 735... make up your mind! hahahah elevenmil's current forum banner seems smaller than specified height... would you like for me to make it shorter? By the way, the letter R was fixed and looks much better...but the letter O is now off. -
Trap17 Problems (down) Trap17 Problems (down)
BuffaloHelp replied to joeysicily's topic in Web Hosting Support
Just a reminder that it is a myth when people say Xisto is down also implies that hosting service is down. Xisto forum and Xisto hosting are served by two totally different computer machines. You can check this by use PING command and enter http://forums.xisto.com/. You will see that the returned IP address is different from your hosting IP address.Once our forum upgrades to the latest Invision version, you will not see Page Cannot Be Displayed message. OpaQue has been hard at work to bring us the very best forum possible. He is finishing up the last minute details for upgrades. The next forum version is going to knock your socks off -

I was preoccupied with another banner request. I'm not good at coming up with originals but I think I could manage just manipulating existing graphic works. Anyway, this is one with the earlobe torn. Adjusted skin color to bit deeper purple. -
Banner Requests For New Homepage and Forum
BuffaloHelp replied to elevenmil's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
A first rough layout of what I'm thinking about... As you can see the nice chip that embedded with Johnstown Poker name. For the forum, I'm thinking either 1) have 5 cards that spells out F O R U M on the corner 2) use small animation sequence and light the table's 5 rectangles with letters F O R U M So, after talking to elevenmil it immediately showed that I have no idea what poker is lol. I used Black Jack table as the background, it turns out. Here are my final trials: There are few things that I'd like to add and correct (like the word FORUM it looks bit odd...hand drawn) and I'll do that after suggestions and comments. I deliberately left out the watermark. When my banner is used, please give where the credit is due. -
Domain Name Transfer. Just to make sure i do it right
BuffaloHelp replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in Web Hosting Support
You need to do three things: 1) access your control panel of orderofhogwarts.be and change nameservers as malish posted. 2) access the process page https://support.xisto.com/ and change your subdomain name from current to orderofhogwarts.be (requires 15 credits). 3) wait about 24-72 hours and your domain name will be linked to your Xisto hosting service. From this point on, it's YourSite.com/cpanel and your subdomain name is no longer valid. -
Opacity Required Make this logo go lighter
BuffaloHelp replied to jlhaslip's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
When you say 50% opacity, would you like the background to show through (like see through screen) or just lighter in color? -
bucksta, absolutely you can make your own. And if you'd like, please share it with us (Have your say > User contributions > appropriate size) and I'll upload that to our Xisto Banners folder

Granting access to the root directory is dangerous. However, if you are going to trust that person or group that much to give permission to access your root directory, just simply give your current password. It's going to be the same anyway--setting up another FTP account that has the same permission as yours.

This is my first attempt in altering color pallet for a set graphic I am still in the phase of adding and altering. I'm planning to add little rip in the earlobe and a possible ear ring (piercing) to make it look "bad." ha ha Oh, and if I can (or have the time) add one eye scar to make it officially evil. -
Spelling correctly is a must for our forum since the link you provided is dead. I noticed that you provided with misspelled link. The link the topic starter is referring to is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/=
