  1. By the sounds of it, it probably is off on all hosted accounts, but it would depend on the server setup (I think we have several here don't we?) and whether it's possible to modify the option.
  2. Which of course very much depends on how many points you obtain per post, sometimes you may get 2 or more, other's it might be something like 0.2, and so on and so forth.I didn't even notice I had that many posts..... lol. I don't usually hang around or participate in forum boards long enough to obtain that kind of post count.
  3. Well I have been here since April 06, I actually only have a bit more than 10 left at the moment lol.
  4. I think Asus and Asrock are also very good brands, though I have had some beef with MSI graphics cards and motherboards.Never a complaint so far about Asus or Asrock though .
  5. Yeah I have played it a few times, many years ago and I didn't mind the graphics at all.But there isn't enough places to go, too many idiots, not enough fun ways to earn something unless you outright fork money out for it (how is that entertaining? or fun? it isn't lol).So I wouldn't give it anything over 2 or a 3 unless it's been heavily improved since the last time I had a go at it.Should do a poll on that Coke music one as well eh.
  6. You probably still don't want to hurt 56k/128k'ers too much though.Believe it or not there is still plenty of people using Dial-Up and the likes of ISDN connections, either that or once they break through crappy low bandwidth usage, there speeds are capped, or there charged for excessive usage, so how bulky a site is can be more important than some think.Especially for heavy internet users, and those living on the cheap and/or in rural areas.
  7. Yeah I don't think I would be reaching that amount of credits anytime soon lol.I also haven't been able to get on here too much these days, with studying and life in general I suppose (trying not to be on the computer too much of late, and sleep better and eat better etc). It's a nice rewarding offer for anyone with that kind of dedication/determination though .
  8. So a basic rule of thumb is, if you can handle your drink and remain the same responsible person you were before hand, it's ok for the most part? That's pretty much how I see these kinds of things, aside from the fact I don't follow anything like religion or anything like that.
  9. But it's not saying they should be different or opposite right? Cause what if all the unbelievers in a majoral fashion started being complete goody goodies lol. You'd have to be the mean people .
  10. I doubt ants would even care what we do, or how we do it......There too busy running there own lives to sit around wondering about what's above them lol.
  11. Don't forget some "intelligent" things have been made through pure chance and complete accidents eh.
  12. LOL, that would be some "futuristic" comedy material for sure, like those old comedians that do blatantly obvious dumb things, but it's still funny as hell.
  13. Hellfire121, is that using like a pre-made community board type software? or a low end custom job.I'm not sure if mine would take up a lot, if the forum was considerably large and filled up.I don't think I'll test it out either lol, unless locally when I finally have the software all setup for it, I have been lazy fixing up all my programs etc for this fresh installation, now that I have new hardware.
  14. I don't know much about the god aspect, I mean it's a bit like the american/indians (so you know I don't mean India, indians), they just danced till it rained.......We know it's most likely going to rain, some time or another, and we also know natural disasters happen one time or another, so anyone can say it's some message, or special power. But it's not really that important as to why it happened, unless the frequency of these events kick up, then you need to wonder lol.
  15. I'm not really familiar with their albums but I used to listen to Crawl and a few other (un-edited) ones years ago, and I listen to a couple of newer ones now.So yeah, they seem pretty darn good based on that.
  16. LOL, I can just imagine some poor dope running around with what you might call a "laser gun" only to have the darn thing fire and bounce off and burn everything .
  17. Mostly text for me I would say.Ahhhh, last time I checked my DB(s) were reasonably small, but have been growing little by little overtime of course. I use a lot of custom made stuff so it's quite lean.
  18. If you are not sure of any practical uses of levitation, just try remember back to some of the games, movies, books you have had your nose in, you'll probably find at least a few that have some form of levitation technology or magical idea involving it, displaying just how useful it could be.One already mentioned, would be large and heavy objects, like a car (perhaps even heavier than that), perhaps even at some point before we pull off flying cars, we'll have a safety measure in-place to boost the car above ground level (like in an accident, or even some system that knows where the car is tilted and can correct it).Things like that I guess? lol.
  19. For about a year (not too long ago), I had major issues accessing the forums half of the day (basically everyday) and some sites hosted here too.Though that issue appears to have vanished, so uhh good work lol.
  20. C was a non object oriented programming language, C++ is just a well, more updated version of C that includes more modern standards including OOP.As for the last one you mentioned, I think you mean Visual C++ and variants, which are Microsoft products (Microsoft Visual C++).
  21. Wow that is weird.I have not heard about this either. It sounds a bit weird and stupid to me, but I doubt they would care much as to what we think aye lol.
  22. Ahhh yeah, I have signed up to this one and a few others before in the past.It looks legit enough to me, but I never really got into them much, they barely sent anything out at first and when I lost interest is when they all started spamming me, more or less lol.So yeah, use a spare email if you have one for that kind of thing, I usually have a spare account I use for signing up to things that look rather questionable.
  23. Thanks dserban but I rarely use wizards, I'm a programmer so am used to writing out functions in a more direct format. Thanks, I'll test out a few things with the dates and see if it works, I tried incorporating like A2-B2 into the actual VLOOKUP but I got like 0.05 and things like that, instead of 0%, 5% etc.DATEDIF using "d" as formatter works, but it still gives me like 0.05 for some reason.
  24. That would be fine, but the problem remains of how to extract the difference in days between commencement date and start date cells, as they vary for each persons entry.
  25. I'm doing a task for an Assignment in Microsoft Excel. The material isn't overly helpful and nor is there teachers lol......The biggest problem I am facing now is working with the VLOOKUP function and what information they want.I have been asked to use the VLOOKUP function, to the best of my understanding to produce a percentage for calculating a discount on a fee for materials based on a commencement date and paid date.So for example, a person's material commences on 9th of september (they display it in excel as 9 Sep which excel converts to a formatted date) and they paid on 1 Sep, if there is less than a 7 day difference then there is no discount, if greater than 14 5%, if greater than 22 than 8% etc.So basically the earlier they pay, the bigger discount they recieve. But the VLOOKUP examples they provide just don't make sense to me, like this one:=VLOOKUP(B5,$A$13:$B$19,2)But they are only working with 1 cell, I have a commencement and paid date that need to be worked with, how can I fit this in?Basically I need to find out how many days difference there is between commencement and paid dates, and refer to the lookup table to get a discount percentage from the second column.Any help is greatly appreciated, I have been stuck with this task for quite awhile .
