  1. Into mine?To ensure anyone with half a brain cannot find and take off the application (which is intended for computer owners/administrators who have other individuals using their machines and want to monitor specific things). The way I do things is not a windows bug, exploit or issue, all I do is force the window to exit when it's opened using a timer, it's very simple, fast and effective, even if not too elegant.I could it on Mac, I could do it on Linux, I can do it on any of them if I have to.It's a matter of knowing how, no OS can block all avenues even on this particular point because that would be way too restrictive in other ways that just are not worth it.
  2. Oh that's a really good idea to allow non registered members to have a see and get some information for themselves before committing to an account. It might stop more possible accounts from just being left doing nothing.

    Fifa 08

Mark how would you compare it to older games, for someone who say is not much into those kinds of sporting games.I don't mind soccer at all, but haven't like many games that have come out, I can't remember the last Fifa I played, but it was around a year or so ago I think.
  4. I can't think of anything off hand right now, but that site discussed in another thread (the smallest web site in the world or some such), is certainly annoying with it's size lol.
  5. What I would recommend is to first go check out the manufacturer's website (in this case MSI), and find that model of board and check out it's specifications. If the hardware you currently have has worked with it before (it's compatible), then you just need to find a board with similar specifications, like the same cpu, graphics, memory type etc. What I usually do is search around for an online computer store that sells hardware reasonable close to me, and just see what I can find.If it's a bit too old, you may have some trouble finding one to go with your older hardware components.Good luck! (remember to always check for compatibility with your hardware and the board).
  6. I think the user is trying to explain how to get a greater level of control, that could be found useful when designing web content.I am not entirely sure myself, but it doesn't look like they are doing the norm here.
  7. Yeah that is one avenue to go, but I think it can be dangerous and just open up more exploits which probably isn't a good idea.I would rather not play with someone else's kernel lol.
  8. Yeah I started basic with using words like com, soft, tech, and combinations and spelling variations (in the end I would not only have no hope in hell of getting any or a decent domain with those, their too heavily used). But I have made up my mind on one, which someone has taken .com and .net for, one of them is just a crappy search plastered with ads and crap and the other isn't even setup.....Guess I will have to take .org lol, the name I came to uses shortened spelling of my name and well my purpose to a degree (which is software mostly). But then my domain registar decided to play up on me, so I got to wait now lol.
  9. I'm pretty sure they can *date* materials to a degree these days (I am unsure of the accuracy), but I would think proof of these told stories would have been dated somehow before those events, throwing it around with no proof would be pretty silly, especially if you plan to debate something else using that information lol.Not to say it's iron clad, but when religious figures have been proven to not only accept the above (about the stories) and somehow bring about an answer like it was pulled straight from Google, in other words unless this was pre-written, is this excuse of theirs just rubbish thought up, or was there information actually recorded about this around the time it took place (if there was no fore or early warning of it, or noted down very early, how could they say it's true with confidence). If so, that doesn't look good for them, though I like their "faith" stance on most questions, it's certainly difficult to beat haha.Oh and no I don't really try to convert people, I copped that a lot from various religious groups including christians on my door step and in the streets etc, I didn't like it, so I would expect they probably don't either.Ahh yes and as for this magic formula of salvation, even if I was of any kind of such faith, I would be frankly honest and say I really have no idea. Nobody can, everybody nearly iterates a completely different answer, even following somewhat the same faith and ideals, so that should say enough about it (these things obviously cannot be defined for now).
  10. Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that site.Is it still going? Have they been updating it?It's been a long time since I have been there lol.
  11. Really?I always found Gmail to be simple to use from the first time I ever gazed upon, I knew how to work it straight away.Maybe not their sort of "hidden" features, but if it was something I needed, I found out soon enough how to use it.
  12. Wouldn't we just evolve beyond the conditions to some degree along the way. It's happened all throughout time, evolving and/or adapting to different habitats and what not.Sure were all not going to survive I suppose, but we all have to go at some point, and there isn't any indication there will ever be complete abolishment of mass death anytime in the near future if ever, something is always going to be around the corner somewhere. If we survived past major events, I don't see why not this one, then again we rely on our own creations so much, if they failed us now, we would be in deep do do wouldn't we lol.
  13. I wasn't sure where to put this, so I have put it here, please move it if there is a better fitting location for it.I know it's probably a bit much to ask help on this considering all, but I am really drawing a blank and need some ideas. So basically, as some of you know I call my site "Chesso's Corner", which is mostly fine, but I really need to come up with something better, not only for the title of the site, but a title to be-fit my software development, web development, among other things.I'm looking to create a well "business name" you could say, that's either a longer title like the one previously mentioned or a shorter one that could have a nice logo to go with it (like a postal service might have a name relating to post and use a logo that also relates to that). So yeah, basically I am really drawing blanks for ideas, I'm hoping to find or come up with something not too definitive in the end (I guess I could compare to the likes of Asus, not very specific but they cover many things of a technical nature under this one name).Anyway, any help or guidance on this matter would be very much greatly appreciated!!!!!
  14. Bummer I'm on two of those lol.Except for FileHippo, I couldn't find anywhere where I might be able to submit my own file, did yo see anything around there like that? (submit a file, submit content etc).
  15. Nah Microsoft Support is useless, and so is Rockstars web support for that matter lol, they can't take any contstructive criticism or fault and they think a 1 men, 1 time test proves their right.......... yep they are real bright lol.
  16. I haven't heard of that myself, but it does sound interesting, I'll have to take a look into it.What kind of stuff do you work with using this?
  17. To be honest, it is very difficult to say, as is my experience on the subject up till now.I mean, just because I felt it was cooler 10 years ago by leaps and bounds (I was a different person, my body was different, I was technically in a different location, living under different conditions etc).I can most certainly say we aren't helping in general by any means at this stage, from what I know, but I don't think it is quite the end of the world yet lol.
  18. Ok so I am not really to clued into politics, let alone the word "democracy".But would Asutralia be considered to have this, with how our Government works?, is it maybe a half-half, or a bit of this and a bit of that perhaps?
  19. Hey vusja!, I just voted for your site in that "Best site" thread, and mine even has a mention haha .Oh and I might as well place my opinion here also, basically I think the site could "look" less cluttered. For example, the polling and options, as well as the small bits like "resource menu", "login", "who's online" etc could perhaps do with some spacing, I know it might put the pages length up a bit, but I think the content seperation even with just those small things may help, well it couldn't hurt to test it out if you haven't already at least.
  20. Wow my site is there!!!!! yay . I had no idea this thread existed till just now, haha and I haven't been able to really up date my site in so long...... As a side note, do you's think the base design is pretty reasonable (it's all 100% custom made ), but there is still work to do on it. Oh wow my page rank is pretty decent of the list also, sweet!!!! Well if I get time, that's going to improve soon . EDIT: And while I think vusja's handyphp could "look" less cluttered, I am definitely putting my vote on it.
  21. I am making a colour picking application in Delphi and am looking for little things I could add or change to make it better. It's meant to be quite simple for the most part of course, and it includes 3 sliders for RGB, random colour generation, display of RGB/HEX etc codes, and a feature to get the colour from underneath the mouse. If anyone has any nice little ideas I might be able to implement in it, to improve it, it would be greatly appreciated (I'm not sure what people would look for in a colour picker). And for anyone concerned about (why not use photoshop or MSPaint), my mouse colour picker works on absolutely anything on the screen (so in other words that feature pwns Photoshop ), and is one of the reasons why I am making a stand alone colour picker for the window desktop envrionment.I may also create a version of it, to be used as a Delphi component at some point.
  22. Does anyone know of any good "download" sites, like Download.com or Tucows that allow software submissions?I have found a few smaller ones, and some decent looking ones like TopShareWare and BrotherSoft, but most of them (including Download.com and Tucows) are very, well..... bloated to hell to say the least, I don't suppose there is any cleaner ones around.
  23. Hello,Has any had any experience with this service?I am a hobbiest software developer as some may know, and have considered providing I suppose what you might call "shareware" or "free to try" software in the future. So I have an account with Plimus (I didn't much like the look or cost of the others, especially like that RegIt one that wants upfront costs), I haven't used it yet, but have it for when I need it in the future. From a quick glance it looks quite useful, I just hope it's a good as it appears to be when I have the need for it in the future lol.
  24. Yeah it's working now, it was PeerGuardian blocking it :S, it must have been an update in the lists since I last tried to login to my cPanel, now I just disable it while I'm using it, or shut it off.I also test everything offline (including php/mysql code and setups) and always advise others to do so as well (it can really save a lot of pain, bandwidth and time).
  25. lol nobody is noticing "my missus has identical issues" . She has no firewall (like me), seperate ISP's, seperate computers and locations, but the same OS and Windows Live Messenger (that being XP SP2, though firewall is crippled). I wouldn't know if anyone else suffers it as I don't talk to anyone else on msn these days, but these problems started with Windows Live Messenger, and I used to have issues with blank contact lists (so I re-started the list and only put the missus).
