  1. lol but you would be surprised how many people would find that amusing..... to watch cows poop.I never expected a thread like this to pop up (and it's age shows why), but here it is, some of the facts are pretty cool and interesting, but there are some considerably boring or difficult to understand ones, someone should do a new thread like this with facts that have extra information that explain it (so we can all catch on to them).

Yeah sounds like he wants to know how to place a signature under his posts as an image. If your create one in Photoshop or the like, try uploading it to Image Shack, or if the forum here allows uploading for signatures try that also.
  3. Yeah and I have to agree as well.I haven't heard of any real complaints at all, aside from the minor and expected things that occasionaly go wrong.I wonder if there are any other good services? They certainly are not easy to find, even after years of trying this and that, I was lucky to stumble upon this one, that's for sure.Haven't had any major issues at all really the whole time I have been here.
  4. lmao, because it had a lot of problems.I missed that one (I think because I only read Micro's post).
  5. Alegis, previous Warcraft titles had multi-player capabbilities, however they also retained a single player compaign mode. Many MMO's do not charge for the game itself, and then more over expect a monthly fee, when technically you cannot even play it out of the box..... lol.
  6. Hello,My missus dad is looking for "Cam Lock Fasteners" for Furniture but cannot find the right ones, the ones used for furniture and such (like desks and tables and cupboards etc).Looking for anywhere in Australia (located in Sydney but if they can be shipped here from other places in Australia that would be fine), if anyone knows where to get them?I think he's looking for 15mm in diameter and 12mm deep ones, that are RTA (Ready To Assemble).Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! .P.S. Looking for about 50 of them or so.
  7. Nothing wrong with Assembler, it can out do all of those languages by leaps and bounds if used properly, it's just a lot more difficult.VB was really meant for making games and such although it has been pulled off before, and it's not much different than using the likes of Game Maker or RPG Maker. As for Java? Cross platform sure but you ain't going to make the next big thing in it that's for sure, or even remotely close lmao.C/C++, tis fine .
  8. I have been looking around for new games for quite awhile now.Hopefully something PC based (I know of most console games I wish to play, and some the console and games are very difficult to obtain these days, like some Sega Saturn RPG's I had the opportunity of playing once while in Brisbane).I am more into RPG's than anything, heck even something that resembled a SNES rpg for the PC, but of the same or greater quality would be absolutely great.I am however not interested in Multi Player games, especially not Multi Player ONLY games (I hate those, like WoW).Just to make things easier for suggestions, my hardware is pretty much:3ghz Celeron.1gb of DDR ram.256mb GeForce 5500.So I can't exactly run todays full on games all that well lol. It'd be hard for me to list all the games I have already tried, so if something is mentioned I have played before, I will let you know. And although I mostly lean towards RPG's, I play most genre's of games.Any help is greatly appreciated!
  9. I don't think I have quite had that issues.Certainly I have gotten into games quite heavily (especially RPG's), but never changes how I see reality. The only thing I have done that has really changed how I see reality is Skateboarding, pretty much everything I see has something about it that I would like to skate on .
  10. It's nice to see and be in the emulation community, just seeing what they can do.I have always wanted to program a basic one myself (something along the lines of SMS or GameGear), but learning how to do it, is by no means a simple task, let alone emulating something like a PS2 and even further the PS3.Though we can certainly get some killer looking games on PC, they are made for PC and aren't trying to emulate some other piece of hardware, so you can see the performance really takes a hit.
  11. Yeah I feel that way a bit too, about being busy, busy going no where though lmao.Games are a nice idea, maybe some small flash games (like one of those arcade mods), just uhh only allow some of the smaller ones (to conserve bandwidth), and allow them to always be playable, but have strict ruling concerning any credits gained through it.
  12. Well that's mostly the problem lol, because they have no money, neither do I (that's what I was born into and have grown up in till this very day).Don't even have money to buy, well anything quite literally at the moment lol.
  13. Ghost, try building a real RPG, and then worry about adding the multi player elements. In this way, you could offer not only say a "compaign" mode as some RTS's call it, but have the multiplayer element their as well. One of the biggest strifes I had with the MMORPG World Of Warcraft, is that it is Multiplayer ONLY.Game Maker should be more than capable of this feat (assuming you an RPG along the lines of a SNES title, like Lufia I/II), and that you put a lot of thought into how you program it and use the graphics and sounds etc.
  14. As I have avidly been complaining about lately, I cannot find work and haven't been able to for quite a long period of time, so money has been a considerable problem over the years to get this checked out and fixed, but it's starting to worry me more lately now than ever.Basically, when I was about 15/16 I had really bad toothaches, like the ones you get when your face puffs out (aside from the actual puffyness), and eventually it was so bad and I had work at that point, I saw a local dentist and had it filled (man did that drill the absolute hell out of my gums, and those stupid needles didn't work.....).Anyway, I'm also 22 now, the filling wore out in barely a year, the tooth has chipped and cracked to a point that there isn't too much left (but it won't fall out on it's own or even if I try to persuade it ).It's also practically hollow (I just showed a family member and they confirmed it), as I have noticed lately that when I use tweezers to remove any food like meat and things from it, to keep it from becoming infected, that it is becoming quite black inside, which also when they told me it looked pretty much hollow. When money is a big problem, I really have no idea what to do about it, and I have heard some rather disconcerning things lately linked to leaving bad teeth like I have (with bacteria build up and such causing problems).Any advice at all?
  15. Hey sorry if I am a bit late here, but MicroScopic is that true?My missus has the problem you have been describing I believe with her jaw, she is under the impression it will need surgery to fix it.I can sometimes hear it dis-lodging when she eats/chews and even speaks. The thing that caught my attention is that she is also a very bad nail biter (hands and toes unfortunately) and it's also caused some of her fingernails to be far too short and mess that particular area up quite badly. If there's evidence to support it, I might finally be able to get her to rid herself of some more bad habits (she's very recently discovered the consequences of some bad habits I have been complaining about her to fix for some time now).
  16. I am also interested in this.In my early teens years I really didn't take good care of my teeth, and now the 2 front ones at the bottom have a lot of build-up on the back of them (probably from smoking) that I cannot get rid of.On top of that I have had a bad tooth for 7 years now (about to make a post on it, asking advice very soon), which was filled once but the filling ran out in a year and it's gotten to the point where it has chipped most of the tooth off and is completely hollow, and getting blackish inside (probably because I can't get anything in there to brush it, it hurts too much). For the past few years though I have brushed my teeth 3 times a day, 2 times with mouth wash (in the morning and in the night) and my teeth have gotten better in appearence and seem considerably healthier.
  17. This sounds interesting, is there anymore information and articles or things like that to back this up, perhaps some real life examples?MY hair is always bleh (I can never keep it just plain straight and bits frizz out, nothing too odd but still) and I use shampoo+conditioner (once every 2 days), and water wash my hair everyday (which includes when I use shampoo+conditioner), plus every second day I also have started using this other hair thing you use while hair is damp. But none of this seems to ever really make a difference what so ever.So I am very interested to here in any alternatives that aren't going to cost an arm or a leg and my hair falling out in the next 5 years lol.
  18. And perhaps a little self restraint on BOTH ends of the table *shifty eyes*.I have seen plenty of women (and men a like of course) that jump into playing around (in a close or sexual manner) like children playing with toys. They don't think first, or take their time to ACTUALLY learn what the person is about, they just get down to business. And some I know have gotten burnt, and guess what? I laughed in their faces, I know it's cruel, but I warn these people on a daily basis and they just never listen to me and what happens to them, they prove me right and I cannot help myself. That and I see a lot of people (including my own girlfriend) complaining about recieving comments, or discussions/looks etc from the opposite sex, funny thing is, I started observing their behaviour around some of these people of the opposite sex, and all I see them doing is leading on and *accepting* their outward behaviour little by little. So who's really to blame? The closer you allow them to get, the more they will push, so stop it early and leave it at that.On the drug side of things however, I can understand many of both genders being a little too "out going" but drugs should never be unwittingly placed in someone else without their consent.
  19. It would be nice to have a site like that, something very organized that actually hosts the content, like seasons and episodes/movies of things that are far by there use by date (difficult to find elsewhere generally), so everyone can still enjoy them.Even if it was maybe one of those pay by monthly kind of site, as long as they had a decent trial option or give you a truly good look at what they offer.I'd like it, that's for sure.
  20. I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet, but I have many doubts about it's capabilities and what it will lead to in the future.Aside from bugs still present from Windows 95 (how sad I might add), I don't know what is wrong with Windows XP, or why they can't just fix it (oh yeah that's right they need more money lol).
  21. Yeah I feel the same way, I don't post anywhere near as much as I used to, there just doesn't seem to be too much that I can contribute to these days.Though some topics repeating isn't really out of the ordinary, I mean things change everyday, software, technology, politics etc, so I don't find it surprising, in fact I find it surprising they aren't coming up more often.
  22. LOL, wow I knew of a few of those, but probably not even half of them.I bet there is probably way more too, which is pretty cool (something to do on a rainy day lol).
  23. Well let's start off somewhat in the easier realm of things. First of all Flash, though it has and is coming along way, you will not have a hope in hell of creating any reasonable sized game with it anytime soon. It just can't handle it. But for most of the games you see around these days, it does the job considerably well, and although has it's pitfalls (it's not really made for gaming), it does have a quite a few things that save considerable time and headaches as well. GameMaker as you mentioned is also an option, I never got with it too well, it always seemed to lack one little feature or another that really threw me off, but with it's nice little scripting language and such, it is actually pretty potentially powerful. If you have played the game "Dink Smallwood" before, you might be aware that it enables you to use a program along with it, as well as it's native scripting language to create modifications, but also on top of that, the same company/person(s) involved, are working specifically on a new 2D game creation system, and although still somewhat in the early stages, it is looking VERY promising. RPG Maker (2000, 2003, XP), If you are interested in something of the likes of those old (but still amazing) SNES RPG's, then this program is definitely for you. Although it is possible to create other types of games (especially with the newer XP version), it is meant for RPG's. The XP version also has a pretty powerful although annoying scripting language (it uses some form of the Ruby language), so you have a considerable amount of flexibility and with all the default resources and such that come with it, it's pretty easy to just get started and mess around. Java is also an option, but not one I yet have any experience with, so I cannot really say. Visual Basic programming language from Microsoft, not exactly the greatest pick for creating games, but I made a few simple games in it using the Win32 Graphics and Sound API's without any problems what so ever. C++/Object Pascal Full on programming languages (I use Dev-CPP and Borland Delphi myself), where you can obtain very good packages for dealing with DirectX and OpenGL (so this is pretty much where all the limits are lifted aside from going nuts on optimizations with inline or pure assembler). Well, I hope that helped and gave you some ideas lol.
  24. That's useful information, although I completely despise online social networking sites (myspace in particular), my missus is into them. And I have tried to help her build or find suitable layouts and such but can never get anything really working too well.It would be wonderful if you could eventually construct a full on guide, especially including information on how to avoid making pages as slow and crash prone as many are lol.
  25. Yeah, you are pretty much looking at buying as recent as possible card.Although I have heard of and read considerable talk about DirectX 10 based cards not performing well as opposed to DirectX 9 based cards (I think that applies to games not built with DirectX 10 in mind, which are still being made of course). So in the way of nVidia, I would say you'd be looking at the top DirectX 9 or DirectX 10 cards. Have a look around newegg maybe, they have reviews and stuff too (I think the site is popular with americans).
