    Ok wel;, I aint having any problems whatsoever with firefox n the rest of 'em. My problem here is internet explorer which keeps on distorting my web pages n it aint displaying the tables, cells, rows n columns in a proper manner.

    I am currently redesigning my website like I mentioned in a previous post (where I complained about images not displaying properly and which I have fixed). I have made quite a lot of changes in this new design startting from using percent to denote the width of the pages (used pixels previously. I dont like this though as it limits the size of the webpage to a specific pixel count on the screen. I prefer this since the web browser auto adjusts the size of the web pages based on the screen horizontal resolution) to changing a whole lotta things ( redesigned lots of the Images and also added rollovers and thinking of using DHTML scrollers too.)Well, my problem here is the fact that Internet Explorer 7 which I am using in my Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows XP professional and Windows Web Server 2008 aint displaying the web page properly. I have tested them on Opera, Mozilla Firefox and Netscape Navigator 9 and everything worked just fine.I noticed that Internet Explorer isnt displaying or rather is distorting some of the tables in the web pages and apart from that, it isn't obeying the percent (%) I used to denote the width of the web pages. The page will always overlap more than width of the screen while this is not suposed to be so.Please help me have a close look at the web pages on Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox and netscape navigator and see if there is something I am omitting in there.If you know any code that I can insert in Internet Explorer to control its behaviour (someone told me there is a code or something I can insert in Internet Explorer's head section to control the way it is distorting the tables and also make it respect the page width in %), I would be glad if you can paste it here.     I have never had a gaming console too except for an 8bit crap I used when I was small. I have always used computers for my gaming. Well, I might think you are wrong here. personally, i dont fancy those old gaming consoles. the games they have to offer are all crap to me n alll my pals prefer the newer consoles to the later ones.     Mind you guys that disabling the autostart programs from msconfig will automatically stop any program that is meant to start up with the operating system. Even your antivirus, spyware remover and every other auto start programs will be disabled from that time henceforth. U wouldnt want to disable your antivirus for any reason 'cos viruses dont knock on your door before coming into ya system. i think you guys are forgetting something here. you forgot that running check disc on your hard discs or partitions can also help to improve performance. This is because, probably due to the power failures or for some reason or the other, if your computer goes off abruptly (and this continues to happen several times), your hard drives can start developing errors on them and this can start slowing down the general performance of your PC as windows will be finding it difficult to read from any files in those sectors. So, running checkdisc (click on run > type in CMD to open the command prompt windows > type chkdsk to run a normal check on your discs or add /f to fix any errors found or /r to recover any files in any of the bad sectors if found. I generally use this very command with chkdsk: chkdsk /f /r = chkdsk /fix /recover.) can greatly help in your computer's performance. Also, you should endeavour to empty your temp folder from time to time. You can do this by opening windows explorer > right click on your HDD or partition and click on properties, then click on the disc cleanup tab which is close to the Ok, Cancel and Apply buttons. Windows will then run a scan to fish out the junks in your computer and afterwards, you can safely delete everything detected. If you are using Windows Vista, PLEASE DO NOT DELETE HIBERNATION FILE CLEANER as this will disable the hibernation option in your PC and THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO GET YOUR COMPUTER TO START HIBERNATING AGAIN EXCEPT REFORMAT.

    AAAAAAHH!!! My eyes..... does the person who designed that website want everyone of us to develope some kind color blindness just for browsing thru that site? OMG..I would rate every damn thing in that site as -10. Everything from the color combination to the navigation and the way the links were clustered in the middle of the page. I think some people should be thought how to be creative. U know, if you've got an eye problem, u ought not to view websites like those or you would only be worsening your problems.

    You can install an operating system into any type of partition...be it primary or logical, ti doesnt matter at all. I think that you are kind of wrong here. Yes I know that you cannot boot into your Linux OS after booting Windows but there is still an option where u can restore your Linux boot config into the master boot record. All you have to do is to boot into your Linux console using the Linux installation CD and thereafter, type the partition you installed the Linux OS and let the bootloader in the installation CD query the partition and if it finds a viable Linux Installation for your Distro, zap...it boots it and then you can go into your Linux CP to write a fresh boot loader into the master boot record and everything will be fine from there. You have to create a swap partition for your Linux installation typically before or after your main Linux partition. Dnt forget that or your Linux installation will not function properly.

    Who said Linux is much more stable than Windows BTW? Down here, electrical power goes off anytime and comes back anytime and that means that your computer simply goes off immediately the power goes. While on WIndows (XP/Vista), I dont ever have to start rescanning my Hard disks for error, but If n whenever I am on Linux, OMG, it always has to rescan the HDD every time my computer goes off abruptly and in most cases, as I have observed, it is not able to come back to its normal state again. there is always one complaint or the other that I will have to battle with and this finally results in me reinstalling the operating system. I dont fancy that at all. Finally, I had to remove the Linux OSs I have been using (used quite a lota them). I am just about to install Windows Web Server 2008 Beta 3 into one of my partitions and also considering to put back my PCLinuxOS too.

    Yuour problem isnt that you used more than one harddrive. I have three (3) hard drives installed in my computer and it has never caused any problems with my Linux installations. I remember I once ran a total of five (5) Operating Systems (Windows XP Professional x86, Windows Vista Ultimate x86, PCLinuxOS, Mandiva Linux and Ubuntu) and all these OSes were running without any problems. I only had to remove the Linux Operating Systems because I was lacking space in my 240GB HDD space (you might not believe that). During installations, each of the operating systems you install on your hard drive(s) and/or partitions place a boot loader (boot manager in windows) in your Primary Hard Disc's Primary partition boot sector. that means that assuming that you are already running Windows XP Professional which you installed on partition 1 (assuming that is your primary partition on your HDD 1), Windows XP has already placed its own boot loader in there that enables it to boot and access the informations installed on your HDD. Now, when you later decide to install other OSes, these ones will attach their boot loaders to the same boot partition where Windows XP has placedd its own. This way, it is possible for your computer to access the same boot loader and you will have a choice of selecting which Operating system you wanna boot before you finally boot your computer. Linux operating systems use the grub boot loader to access your hard drive. i have experienced your type of proble in my previous escapades with Linux installations. To make the installation simpler for you, do this: Find and download a hard disc utility, preferably one that enables you to create and edit partitions on your hard disc (acronis disc director is recommended). Install and launch your HDD utility. partition your HDD(s) into any number of your choice and format it using EXT2 file system of EXT3 file system for the Linux partitions. Make sure that you dont tamper with the Partition that is carrying the bootloader in the sense that you should not modify the starting sector of this particular partition as this will most likely mess up the boot sector and that is bye bye to every operating system you have in there. Restart and insert your Linux Installation CD and make sure that computer has been configured to boot from your CD/DVD drives. Boot into your Linux Life CD (as most of the newer Linux OSes now come in Life CDs including Ubuntu) and start the installation process. Ubuntu doesnt take much time to finish its installation. And it automatically installs its boot loader into your prmiary partition's bootsector unlike some other linux distributions like Mandriva and PCLinuxOS which will ask where you want the boot loader to be installed. After the installation, reboot and everything should be fine now. I hope that solves your problem pal. Please pardon my double posting and delete the 2nd post. it was not a deliberate post.     I believe Visual Basic is meant for Software programmers (or am i wrong here?) I have also heard dat you can use VB to build web aplications. It actually depends on wat u wanna do.VB 2008 Express Ed. is quite good, so I have heard 'cos I have never used it myself. U can give it a trial though

    Lets say you start by learning the graphic designing softwares as they play a very important role in the final outlook of your webpage designs. Some examples of these softwares are Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Illustrator, Xara Xtreeme, Adobe Flash professional (for flash) animations. I would recommend you use Adobe Photoshop (that is what I use and I am using the CS3 Extended version) or Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Adobe Flash CS3 Professional if you wanna make them flash animations.Consider checking out what other people have done. try to learn some of the tricks and cuns in the designs as they will be a gr8 aid to your later designs. From there, you can build your own knowledge.

    if you are talking about a forum here, I think you should be able to get the pages index by making the changes in the PHP code from your admin CP. if you are talkng about your own web pages that you created yourself, then you should consider editting the META TAGS in all the pages you want the search engine robots to index.

    who said headaches are a minor thing? I have had this blinding headaches in the past. it has occurred on three occasions now and they are so intense that I cant even open my eyes in any way. No analgesic medicine I took could stop them. The only thing with which my mom stopped the headaches was raw onions which I ate whole and slept off. By the time I woke up, the headache was gone. If she would have been experiencing headaches like the ones I have experienced in the past, she would have done something long ago or she might not have survived through the whole ordeal. Well, it was good they were able to remove the pencil parts from her head after everything.

    I think the best thing for you to do will be to reformat your HDD. You probably repaired your operating system n not actually a reformat 'cos a reformat would definitely wipe everything from your HDD and put a new one. I would suggest that you backup every important thing in your hard disc and do a complete reformat. Reinstall your antivirus and update it to the latest virus definitions and then copy back your backed up data. make sure to scan every data you are copying back before copying (if on a scannable device). I believe dat should correct your roblems wth ur Recycle bin.

    I know I've have test ran between 11 to 13 Linus ditributions namely: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, ReactOS, Redhat 9, Redhat 10, Mandrake Linux, mandriva Linux, Berry Linux, Damn Small Linux, PCLinuxOS, etc. I have also test ran the Sun Operating system called Solaris. U know, I just love to have a feel of what these OSes are like and depending on the situation and environment I fnd myself in, that will determine what I am gonna use. At the moment, I am using only Windows (XP professional w/SP2 and Vista Ultimate) on my PC and currently downloading Windows Server 2008 Beta 2 (Web Server version and Datacentre version.) I am most probably gonna install them to my System after download, but that will be after I upgrade my Computer. Currently using 240GB (80GB x 3) and thinking of going up to 2.35TB (750GB x3).

    I know everything about system restore and the way it works. Just Like AVfreak said, system restore eats a whole lot from your harddisks. Basically, on my Win XP, I generally reduce the hard drive space allocated to system restore in order to save my HardDisck space. On my Win Vista, I run Disk Cleanup from time to time and I ensure that I clean up the system restore while leaving the most recent restore point which will only be taking a few MBs.
