Maybe something has gone wrong with the hosting scripts or some other thing could have happened. Instead of you tryingto help him rectify the issue, you are giving an explanation about something else. Well, I still feel that the Admins should do something to help him (that is, if the problem persists).

Well, a good tutorial you got there man. I have a program that can easily change your Win XP desktop to a Mac-like desktop. It is called Aston and it is a good program at that. One thing I like about this very program is that it considerably increases your computer's speed. And I mean, it really does that. I aint blabbing about this one. I have tested it on this one and I have had my friends rest it too and every one had the same story to tell after having installed the program into their respective computers. Why dont you guys go try it out. I bet you'll like it.

Well, I am using a program called ftp desktop. it is a very good ftp client software and aint difficult to use at all.

lotta laughs at you if you actually think that your desktop is that clustered.Wat the.....? Mine used to be ten times and more clustered than what you got there man. to the extent that I had to increase my screen resolution to something more than 1024x768 pixels and still, I was having problems with the stuff.At that time, I had more than 150 softwares installed in my comp (167 to be exact.....you can say that I am crazy...wont be surprised to hear that anyways) and I had more bootscreens than you ccan think of. After that, I had to convert my windows desktop to a Mac OSX desktop and then that reduced the number of icons there on the desktop.Right now, I have reformatted my C:\ partition and I havent installed back all those softwares again cos I am only installing those ones I really need.Well, from my point of view, your desktop aint clustered at all. Infact, it is quite scanty. Untill you start having problems locating icons and programs on your desktop, you will really understand what I am saying.

Neither I. I cant find any tester in there. I would recommend that you start with learning Microsoft Frontpage first. It is the easiest to learn amongst all the major web development programs.You can go for Dreamweaver and Golive later 'cos Frontpage does not support .php and the more advanced web programming languages.

Or you can also save it as a .PSD file (Adobe photoshop document format). Click on filter and then transperency.You should be able to finish the remaining job from there.

And not only that, you should try linking ur website to other sites. By doing this, you will be exposing your site for more crawling by the Google SE spiders and every other Search engine spider which will be crawling those sites you are linking to.

Methods of optimizing your PC for higher performance. 1st of all, let us start with my computer's hardware configuration. I am pasting the report generated by Lavalys' Everest Home Edition about my system. Note to Admins and Moderators: I pasted this report only to stress the effectivenes of the optimization methods and to proove to people that everything I am saying is true and not some fabricated story, but not for hosting credits purposes. The Report and below is also a pic of my desktop and list of all programs. This is for you to know that I have losts of softwares installed on my PC and it is still running comfortably without any hitch. I have counted the softwares I installed in my PC and everything arrived at 156 (Imagine That!!!, I think that I am going crazy). Ave. boot time......Start Up=22secs and shut down=15 secs. Not too bad for a computer which is carying more than 150 softwares. http://echo.cx/ 1st of all, Partitioning is one of the tools that help to accelerate your PC's speed. Here is how it works. 2 people buy 2 HDDs with, say, 30 GB of memory. The first guy partiotions his into 3 (10GB each) and the 2nd guy installs the OS without the partitioning (that means that the whole 30GB is his C:\ Drive while the other guy will have C:\, D:\ andE:\ Drives). Let us assume that the 1st guy also labels his partitions ROOT, Graphics and Web applications consecutively while the 2nd guy installs everything into his root directory. Assuming these 2 guys have all the web and graphics designing applications in the PCs and they are both into web and graphics designing. while they are running the programs (say, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 and probably playing music with Media Player at the same time [thats normally what I do]), the 1st guy's OS sees the applications which are running as running from different HDDs while the 2nd one sees all the appz as running from one single HDD. Then the paging files (called the virtual memory paging file.....a memory allocation from your HDD which your OS uses like your RAM). They really help a lot in executing programs faster. If the 1st guy allocates 500MB each from his partitions to the Virtual Memory Paging Files and the 2nd guy allocates 1GB. By default, the 1st PC is bound to be faster. By simple logic, (500MB x 3=1.5GB)>(1GB) and that does make a lot of sence. 2ndly, defragmenting your HDD/partitions from time to time. I normally defragment my partitions every 7 days. Defragmenting helps to increase your PC's speed and this is no joke. Below is a little summary which I copied from the program's help. So, as you can see, defragmenting always helps to speed up your comp a lot. 3rdly HDD format: I am running all my partition in the NTFS (Windows NT file system) format. why are my doing this? I know that the NTFS format enables you to compress the data in the HDD to save disc memory. For instance, there was a time I compressed my C:\ Drive and I ended up recovering more then 1GB of memory from the 7.02 GB I have already used up in the Drive. And not just that, the compression also increases your computers' operations as it enables it to have access to more files in less time. I have added more boot screens and configured my desktop to look like a Mac OS X desktop. Pic is below. All these help to slow down your comp but they never affected mine in any way. I would suggest that you rebiuld your PC in a new case. Or if you arent able to get a new chrome casing in the market or stores, get the old one sprayed in Chrome coluor and then rebuild the PC in there. For me, I would rather go for a black casing and thats what I am using ATM.

Or start challenging MicroSoft in software development? My my my...thats a very cumbersome amount for someone to spend on a personal computer. Yea I know that (like you said) IBM definitely knows what to do with the spare processors but not to the tune of $40, 000, 000. Well, thats my view anyways. I know that there are some people out there who has more than enough money to purchase this very powerpc and not feel a scratch on there skin.

Yea, i know that honesty is the word. I also know that I have so many of my friends who would love me to pertake in thier online fraudry and I have always desisted fdrom doing anything such. As you can see, I am really running short of ideas and I am not liking it at all. One good reason why this is happening to me because, as a web designer/graphics designer, I am not getting enough clients down here in my country and one other bad thing there is that in my country, our government arent doing anything to help the youths. They are more interested in filling their pockets and that sort of thing and people have to device some means or the other to survive. Take for instance, i have lost my dad and my mom is just an ordinary secondary school teacher (high school teacher) and I am not the only one in the university. we are four in the university and all have to go to school. so you can see that one has to look for an honest means of making money and I dont want to engage in any bad act. VGA means....video graphics adapter. Thats the hardware that displays everything that is going on in your CPU on the monitor. without a VGA card, you cannot view anything on your monitor screen. I hope that my simple explanation solves your problem.

Hey people, I recently bought Halo combact evolved and installed it into my HDD but to my surprise, I could not play the game due to VGA Hardware problems. I am using an nVIDIA RIVA 64 PRO/64M with 32 MB memory and it is running at 300MHz onboard processor speed with 1.4GB transfer speed. The game complained that It is having probs with my VGA. I ran an analysis of my VGA with a system analysis software called Everest Home Edition and I was able to detect that my VGA does not have a feature called Hardware Transform and Lighting. I think thats the problem with t he game cause the software recommended that I should get a VGA with that feature as most modern games require it to play. I would like someone to recommend a good VGA card with that feature for me. ATI or nVIDIA are my prefered VGA cards. Please help...

1st of all, you have to test your CD drive (not the writer but the ROM) to see if it is really ok. Check that CMOS recognizes it and after that, try to insert other CDs into it to see that it reads them,If the CD-R was able to read the CDs you insert into it and was not able to read the CD that you just burnt with the writer, then yuo should know that you had some burning errors on the written CD. That has happened to me before. For mine, I have 2 CD-R/RWs (2 CD writers) and there was a time I burnt something with one and inserted it into the other and it was not able to read it.I checked the File Systems and both had CDFS (Compact Disc File System) and there was nothing wrong with any of the 2 CD-R/RWs.So, as you can see, CD-R/RWs can generate burning errors during CD burnnig and that can end up curropting your files (the files yuo just wrote into the CD).If Nero was not able to detect the CD, then, there is definitely something wrong with it.

My! My!....you know what? this has never ever occured to me at all. I never knew that ftp servers has the ability to unzip zipped files in there. I have always had to extract the files and then upload the extracted files into the ftp server.Hey man, thanks for the tut. I am grateful.
