  1. :XD:!What is this Albecori drive? and can it really bend the law of physics, or is this something from a movie? Also, pluto isnt a "real planet" anymore apparently. But what you said Tetraca, and having no effect on other things if a planet was destroyed. This is not true. If our moon was to move away, or blow up or disapear or something, it was cause lots of problems for us. The sea is reliant on the moon. Or if mars was to blow up (or disapear, etc) it would efect us directly. The magnetic waves created by each planet effect how things living on earth (That area gets into something deeper). You cannot completely destroy energy or matter, it just changes - youre right about that. But it usually effects something else, even if its so small it makes nearly no difference. But if matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, where did it come from? Everything is made up of matter, and uses energy. We get energy by eating.. it narrows down to plants, which they get from the son. But the initial energy source, where'd that come from?
  2. Yup! It did help. When I debug and compile it, it creates an .exe file to run. However, people need the .NET Framework installed in their windows, exept for Windows Vista. Windows Vista comes with the .NET Framework pre-installed.
  3. Hey, I want to give VB a try out. Im good with HTML and CSS, and ok with PHP. I downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition, is this the right program to use? - If so, I made a little project already but I can't save it as .exe. How can I do that? - If not, what is the right program to use for learning VB?
  4. This is a cool little idea I ve bee thinking about lately.I am curious as to how I would make a webpage loader in an .exe form.Ex: many RPG games have a launcher program, that shows you the current updates and news, and checks for new updates. This thing usually shows a webpage to show the news and updates right?I was wondering how I would create one of those (What language?), or if I could possibly get a pre-made one where I can just change the code or the page it loads in its program frame.I really hope this makes sense. If not, I can try and make more sense of this. Thanks
  5. Thanks for the research bud. Greatly apreciated- saved me alot of time :XD:And im also quite sick of PHP-nuke, that was SOOOOOO yesterday!
  6. This is true! Even if we are "fake", what makes us real must be real. So you make a very interesting point on that level. And as somebody said earlier, we are just part of one world in a huge universe. Billions of planets and galaxies, stars of all sorts. One person makes absolutely no difference in the universe, but can make a small change in society today here. So it seems most people believe we ARE indeed real, and if not we are on another level. So really, there is no such thing a fake reality - only a masked reality. Ninkul, you are correct though. Every brain is connected in some unknown way, and it's one of those mysteries of life I think. I honestly don't believe my life, or this world is real. Maybe it's because of my point of view on the world, and my opinion on everything. But I am here right now, guess I'm stuck here lol. So I still make the best of it assuming this is a test, or a game, or just something to do. Here is another question I was thinking of earlier today...What is the point of life? (Not to be Emo, I mean to reproduce, survive, create family, love, etc.)Let's hear the public's opinion! :XD:BTW, thanks for the amazing posts on this topic, I really didnt expect something this crazy to turn out good!
  7. Philosophy class would be grande! I would love to take that class! As for how we were created.. I dont really understand how simple atoms, from my knowledge have no nucleus (or brain), to grouping together to eventually create a self-thinking life form. That's what stumps me.As for the whole real topic... When I dont think about it, I think we are real. and when I do think about it- i start to question things like the universe and its creation. And for the start of the universe post- it is quite possible that there are many universes.. but even at that, what's outside those? and the black hole started the universe, what started the black holes? This is pretty much an impossible question to answer, but its brain food. Fun to think about :XD:
  8. Shouldnt be a problem in 31 years. We are now getting into 64 bit stuff- 32 bit programs and computer will be outdated. would be like using a 1970 computer to play todays games.
  9. haha! That was actually my next post on this topic. Well said too. Sometimes I think we are what we make ourselves, and as a world we are what people believe a common world to be like. But then if we create eachother, there really is only one person then, right? So that can't be right. Unless that one person is the higher being that is dreaming or playing with us, like dolls or something. This is a crazy topic, but thanks for the 2 posts so far. I try talking to people in real life about this, they just laugh at me and say "You are one crazy nut!".
  10. Well.. I am younger than you, by a fair bit if I may add. But I have done lots of thinking about death. In your position, it really isn't fun to be alone. But it seems you are making the most out of it, and trying to keep your head up. This is nice to see. Alot of people who have cancer, or are recently diagnosed with cancer (Cancer being my example disease), give up almost instantly. They believe that now they have the disease, they will die. But from what I know, and my research on the conciousness of the brain and the power behind the group... If you honestly believe that you will get better, and you have positive people around you that create no stress (Stress being a major factor), you can get better. Stress causes alot of harm to ones body. negative thinking, and negative thinkers around you can also cause a kind of stress. and if you are one of those people that think im just going on about some mumble jumbo street talk, thats fine- youre entitled to your own opinion. But here is another point of view, and this is assuming you really are dieing soon at an unkown time. Think of it as nature taking it's course. Death, or decomposition, is completely natural. It starts with Creation -> Life -> Decomposition. It's how it always has been, and always will be. So it really isn't nothing to get down upon.If you are a religious character, and believe in a god or gods, such as the Christians, Muslims, or Jews, then you have nothing to fear but paradise for eternity.I know you want attention because of your position, and I dont blame you. And also, please dont take what I said the wrong way. I didnt mean any of it to sound pesimistic, cruel, insensitive, or anything along those lines. And in my own opinion, I believe not knowing when you are going to die is better than knowing. If you knew, you would only obsess in fear. You seem like a good person, and you said you have no regrets! That's perfect! Many people have regrets, about simple daily things that happened 20 years ago. You said you dont though, and I idol that my friend.Sure dieing seems like a sad thing, but it is the inevitable. It happens to everyone at some point in time, some sooner than others though. If I was in your position, I would just relax, do what I want. Go do scary adventurous things that a living person is scared to do. Enjoy time with the living, weather it be a god or cat, tv, friends or family, or even the sun. And dont get down about this, youre 50 right? Youve contributed 50 years to our society, and have seen things I can only imagine to see. And if you have any life-advice, please post it! Im not sure about other people, but when an older person gives me advice about life, I take it with pride and honor knowing it can benefit my life.
  11. hey. I have been seeing Ruby and Ruby on rails alot lately and I really have no clue what these languages do. What is it that they do? Similar to php, or is it not web based at all? Fill me in on all of it please- I am the clueless wonderer. Thanks
  12. Are we real? Really? What if we are actually part of something so big we don't even matter? Or what if we are part of a dream that some higher being is dreaming? Lots of people say things like, "We can see and feel can't we? Then we are real!" But what if our senses like those are fake to make us believe we are actual.Where did the universe come from, or how was it made? It can't just "always be". Everything changes and comes from something else. How were living organisms created on earth? Did we just evolve from a group of atoms or something, and work our way from there?Think about it, and give me your input on this idea. I love viewing other people's points of view.
