  1. Welcome aboard...although it seems you've been here for a while. Anyway, better late than never, right? Hope you enjoy your stay, and I wish you all the best in becoming a top-notch web designer. All the best with the spam patrol, too.See you around!
  2. Welcome aboard, Ankit! Hope you enjoy your stay here at T17, and some back and post as much as you like. Great to have another hockey AND tech fan on the boards, I must say. Your blog looks impressive as well. Keep on writing and we hope to see more of you on the forum.
  3. Never got into MTG myself. I've always stuck to the classic card games - it's much simpler that way. To each their own, as they say.
  4. Just thought I'd reply to your intro thread title...well, as they say: "better late than never". :)Anyways...welcome to the T17 community! Hope you enjoy your stay here and you can come back and post as often as you like! We've got a lot of informative and friendly community here, so if you have a problem yo want to share, I'm sure someone out there will help you out!See you on the boards!
  5. For me, I usually look at the first few posts (original plus several replies) before I add my own. It helps me get a feel for what the topic/issue is about in detail so that I can give a more-informed opinion and contribute to the discussion.
  6. I'll give it a shot. I may start with the photo galleries and see how many clicks I get before moving it to the main page. It wouldn't hurt to make a little extra, and I'm sure I'll get the knack of it before I get it right.
  7. Welcome to the Trap 17 community! Perhaps you might have been a bit short on time when you made your first post this time around. Just remember that the higher quality your posts are, the more credits you'll earn. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay and you can visit here as often as you like. Hope to see more of your posts in the near future.
  8. Sounds great! Too bad the accounts are closed for now, but...if you have an account with T17 already, you could always install any of the CMS programs provided via Fantastico.
  9. I think this thread needs to be locked as soon as possible, as I think this sort of request has been mentioned already.
  10. Since the new iMacs have the Intel chip, it's been stated that it IS possible to run Windows on a Mac, but then again why would anyone want to ditch Mac OS X for Windows?
  11. I used to use Yahoo! a lot ten years ago. Even though I turned to AltaVista as a better search engine at that time, Yahoo was a handy service for me when I needed a list of websites. However, ever since I started using Google and their services, I used Yahoo less and less. Still have an e-mail account with them, though....and I used Yahoo Groups a bit as well.
  12. Hi Brandon, and welcome to the T17 community. Ah...school grades. Takes me back a long time ago. My weakest subject was science in grade/high school as well.Anyway, hope you enjoy your stay and we hope to see more of you on the boards! Happy posting!
  13. Although I have accounts on both, it still pretty much wastes away, as I already have a dependable blogging CMS (WordPress). I have to admit, though, that you can find some interesting independant bands and their music on MySpace.
  14. For many FF fans in Japan, the wait is over. After many delays, Square Enix finally released the twelfth installment of its popular RPG series Final fantasy on March 16 here in Japan. Here's the entry in Wikipedia: Final Fantasy XII and the news story from the Mainichi Daily News.
  15. I have an iPod Shuffle myself, and it's great! Simple design, stores a lot of music -and you can use it as a regular USB drive for your other data files by adjusting how much space you want for music. They've also gone down in price as well, so now it's more affordable than before. I've also started to listen to a lot of podcasts lately...and the one drawback I found was that I couldn't listen to podcasts in shuffle mode. I was only able to listen to music files. The solution? Set it to regular playback mode.Aside from that, the Shuffle is still a great buy.
  16. Happy Pi Day!Actually, I remember a while back when I observed a Grade 5 math class, they used that figure - except they didn't refer to it as Pi (yet)...I think they save that until they reach junior high school.
  17. "Scam" service or not, I'm still planning on going with Adsense. It may not make a lot for me - but at least it won't separate me from my money.
  18. That's awesome news! Will it also have the one-click PDF creator tool like in the OpenOffice.org suite?I'll try out the Google base when I have some spare time.
  19. I like navy blue jeans myself, although any shade of blue (except sky blue) is fine by me. It makes a nice change from the trousers I wear at work.

    Bonjour

Welcome aboard, Graham/Mortanis. Hope you enjoy your stay here and we hope you can drop by and post often. We have a large community here, and it's always growing by the day...plus the staff and members here are friendly and can help you out if you have a problem.See ya on the boards!
  21. True, there are some people out there who only want to pot in the minimal effort and ditch the community. I think the system is fair, and if you have lots of things you want to share with other members - imagine how many possible hosting credits those could lead to. I guess the only problem I would have is the amount of web space. 150 megs is sufficient for a lot of people...until it comes to a point where you need more space for other projects you may strart up (i.e. photo galleries, podcasting, etc.).
  22. With rare exceptions, pop-ups are really annoying. I think the only thing worse than pop-ups would be those flash adverts that appear just after you load a page on some sports/entertainment sites.
  23. I recently signed up for that service, but I haven't put the link (one of the requirements) on the site as of yet.
  24. Certainly sounds like an ambitious project. I imagine that as you grow older, you'll always revise the plans for you room/apartment (during and after college) according to your needs.
  25. Now THAT was an interesting story of sorts. I never took Delta myself, though....mainly because my dad was a pilot and flew us to our destination on a single engine aircraft (Piper or Cessna). That, and I've heard some horror stories about Delta. (Has anyone heard about what DELTA stands for...Don't Ever Leave The Airport)?
