As a test disable zone alram completely then clear the cache from your browser then reboot. When youve restarted go directly to the URL h2.astahost.com/cpanelThis should work..also if it does work then you will have to as Buffalo says..add the URL as a trusted site in your firewall.I think its the firewall throwing a fit maybe cos of the security certificate coming from a different site than the one mentioned in the URL..once you accept it once it should be good for all time.Like I said when I was trying to help yesterday (sorry I had to run out..my cat had got onto the roof and I had to go save him)..as soon as you get into the cpanel bookmark it..therefore when you go there again it will bring up the loginbox..I get my browser to save the password of cpanel so i just have have to click OK and I am in.Hope this sorts out the problem once and for all

Yes Tavox this is possible..What you can do is use the Addon domain name button in cpanel.Just follow the steps and it will create the folders that you need with the name that you specify. Then point http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ you will have to change the nameservers over to ns1.astahost.com and ns2.astahost.com Hope this sorts you out if not did quick search on the forums I think theres more topics regarding this subject. Domain "eater" Companies
Markymark2 replied to nightfox1405241487's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Welcome to the crazy world of domain names! This has been around since the net started unfortunatly.I used to work for an ISP that did business DSL connections and webdesign and hosting. We had a lot of really slimy salesmen who got up to some mad tricks..for instance one customer who was a pain in the *bottom* for me (I was technical manager) because he was always asking for mroe than he paid for technically..always calling up asking for more config on his site etc..eventually his account was about to run out so the salsemen got me to list reports from his databases of how much he was selling on his webshop..I didnt like the idea but eventually the sales director leaned on me to provide the figures..Basically the ppl I was working for regiastered and held all the records on the domain name the guy was using.Because he was making a lot of money and chewing our bandwidth (yes he was sold unlimited BW ;(( ) the sales team decided to make his account now 4000 a year from 250 a year. The guy ofc refused and said Im goign with another hoster..ofc he couldnt cos we still had his domain name..guess what? 10000 to repoint the domian name!!!Also the salesteam went and registered the .net and .co.uk etc of the daomain name in question so that he couldnt start again with a similar domain name ;(((Basically this company held this guy to ransom ;(( I was really not happy about the situation I can tell you!!Well soon after (for other reasons also) I left them and went to work at thier competetion )Soon to find they were up to the same tricks ;((Marky;) -
Notice from Mark420: This topic is basically stolen from here.. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Also you have posted it on your blog..with images stolen from this website also.. Be aware that people can and DO look for thier copyrighted content on the internet and DO find them and DO take action against people that steal their content. And also if you have a look at where you stole it from..hmm Microsoft..now look at the footer of thier page..© 2007 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved, good luck fighting them in court if it comes to that! Basically by posting this here you have broken the Xisto rules. If a topic contains content from someone elses website this is WRONG,unless you put it in quotes like I have with this post. I would normally just straight delete this thread but I see other members have replied and I dont want to take credits from them also. Consider yourself warned!

To be honest guys whats the point of helping someone when they ask such stupid questions? He is not hosted here..its not our platforms that are the problem, and he doesnt specify what when where and how it went wrong, without that info we can do just about nothing more than give ironic answers

Have you tried rebooting the inteweb?

<post> I love it and yes theres more to learn and you have to be carefull not being lazy and forgetting to close tags, most browsers run over the problem but not all.</post><name>Marky;)</name>

Experimenting - Can You Comment?
Markymark2 replied to ginginca's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hey Gingica,All seemed fine over here also, its a good idea you have. Can I ask who is doing the site design? and making it for you? because I can see a lot of errors in the HTML most prolly thrown up by a dodgy design program. If I wasnt SOO manic and hectic busy atm I would offer you my services for a few hours to make you a better functioning site, maybe I could in a couple of weeks when I have finished the site I am working on.P.s. I see you got the pic of the 3 dollars ;)Marky;) -
The answer is yes you can have an account at both places. The only thing is that posts made here must not be posted on the Trap forums as well. The same rules etc that you are used to being an account holder at Trap apply here That I am sure I dont have to tell you Because of the upgrades to the forums the new hosting applications will be delayed this week so be patient and you can be hosted here too. Regards Marky;)

Yeah nice Tut Master.I have set up Apache, PHP, MySQL, Samba, FTP Servers soo many times as individual servers on my workstation so I know how much time and how much agony it can be getting all these things configured correctly to all work together. Also I have had to do it cross platform a lot of the time cos my station is windows and linux on a dual boot for about the last 6 years.I cannot praise enough multi server deployment packages like XAMPP and Lampp for Linux, they really cut down the time and agony!!IT is very good also if your playing around with a CMS site because everything can be done locally instead of having to take up bandwidth all the time and doing it on the servers here.Yeah like Jimmy said if you need more credits then make another Tut about the post install config and the Xampp server control app that you can run as a service.

Im soo busy atm with my work ;( or I would be jumping into this!!AJAZ is SUCH a buzzword right now in the industry..im almost fed up of project managers talking about it!! ofc they know nothing about it!! but think it will solve the whole worlds problems ;)So its up to ppl like us to learn how to use it!! ;)Reminds me of years ago when Shockwave and Lingo first came out.I think I will download it all and maybe sometime if I ever get a holiday I will have a look at it.

Need Help With JS/CSS Dropdown Menu
Markymark2 replied to miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well an old trick would be to make a div with the content in that you want to be searched..make it first in positoning then make it hidden...but I hear that some search engines penalise you for doing this.. -
hey mate..after a brief search I came up with a few things that may help.. http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com/quantian/howto_lilogrub.html http://knoppix.net/error.php Hope this helps..not tested it myself but post back any feedback cos its an interesting idea..I have a couple of DVDs with lots of different OS on it..but it would be nice just to have an old 10 gigger that you can connect and rebuild from..
