  1. Awww... Michael Jackson. Now, even if I wanted to have a date by Internet, I don?t think I?ll be able to get out that idea of my head. No, I don?t like internet relationships... true relationships are full of doubts and fears... I don?t need more mistery about it. It?s not that a girl could be a boy... it?s, I don?t know, if you meet someone in Internet and try to keep a relationship, how the hell can you be sure that she is not doing the same with more people. Well, that things happen in real life, but it?s even more complicated that way.Simply I don?t like it. Maybe just for fun but anyway... you don?t know when you are playing with the other one?s feelings.
  2. I hope one of them come around here and show their opinions about this, as long as I donĀ“t see nobody that dislikes the idea. By the way, thank you all for replying.
  3. Word is annoying, like every Microsoft program but I hate Word specially. It?s the antithesis to a program who makes what the user wants. And I hate their ortographic corrector... dunno if it works properly with english but it is really awful with the spanish dictionary.
  4. Uhm... I just have noticed that the Entertainment forum is now "no post count" and I just wonder why. I mean... if we try to make a community its not logical to give that kind of posts less value that the others. Don?t know about the rest but I don?t feel that a community is a place where I ask about css and php and get answered. That?s very good but when we really get to know each other is talking about what kind of movies or music we like because these things says much more about our personalities. In my case, I?m a great music fan... and even my website on Xisto is about music. So, the favourite theme of someone who makes in Xisto a website about design, web development it?s clear, but what can we do if we don?t know too much about these things and so we don?t feel prepared to help others users about it? Why videogames are "post count" and films aren?t?Sorry if you don?t understand me very well... my english is not the best. And excuse me if someone have explained this before...
  5. I suppose its google as long as I have it as home page and even more since I have a gmail account. But I visit very frequently http://www.allmusic.com/, the music database. And also Xisto, of course
  6. mmm... interesting question. Here they go.1.- Water (nothing else better for the thirst)2.- Cacique (rum) + Cola (best mix ever)3.- Natural Orange juiceand for when you are short of money and want something with alcoholWine+Cola (commonly called "kalimotxo") Not bad to taste but can be awful for your stomach.
  7. Mainly rock... like someone said, it?s a very huge genre in which you can find things very very distant in sound, philosophy, look, etc.I like modern rock genres like grunge, indie, industrial, stoner, emo, alternative metal etc but also old classics of rock n roll, punk and some heavy metal bands (although I don?t like the high-pitched voices so I am a bit more into thrash). But there?s always time for good music, pop, rap, electronica... as long as it is good. I hate most of commercial hip-hop and r&b and teenage stupid pop like Britney Spears, you know. The same with country... except maybe for Johnny Cash and some electronic subgenres with monotonous rythms.By the way, I agree that music can determine how their listeners act. It?s not the same a rocker and a clubber.
  8. I only have the two last records from this awesome band and I must say that they are the new Pink Floyd... with a more metallic pattern but for me, they?re the present kings of progressive rock (Dream Theater have an amazing technique but most of their songs sounds boring to me).So I recommend the recently released Deadwing and In Absentia. By the way, they?re touring now with Anathema... another great british band.
  9. BBC it?s the best television channel EVER, undoubtely. So it?s sad that things don?t go economically well. I?m not english and don?t see it often (only some of their documentarys in other channels) so don?t know what is exactly the problem, but I hope it recovers without changing that quality line.
  10. I don?t understand sci-fi as a genre that has to be related to aliens, paranormal forces, astral trips, etc, so I think that Donnie Darko is a real science fiction film with the necessary doses of reality to stay "near the truth". I love that film.Donnie Darko is inspired in David Lynch cinema, absolutely my favourite director with such an awesome surrealistic and obscure sci-fi films like Lost Highway, Eraserhead or Mulholand Drive... whenever a film doesn?t have a plain explanation, for me its science fiction so I think those film are. I also love Darren Aronofsky?s PI: faith in chaos... a disturbing mathematic conspiracy and Cube and Cypher from Vincenzo NataliBut my favourite classic it?s Blade Runner, succesful in joining noir with science fiction that makes a great difference with other products (still good) like Matrix (I?m talking about the first one, of course).
  11. My fave character of Simpsons has to be Abe Simpson, the grandpa. It?s as hilarious as his son but their gags are far more impredictible. I also laugh a lot with Ned Flanders
  12. My favourite director is David Lynch. I love his films, specially Eraserhead, Lost Highway, Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive. Yeah... it?s true... I don?t even understand some of his stories, but is not neccesary to appreciate his surrealistic talent and his great work in visuals and soundtracks that make their films (specially Lost Highway) audiovisual delights. In sci-fi I like the two Vincenzo Natali films (Cube and Zephyr).I also like the first Bryan Singer films, the first Kevin Smith ones, same with David Fincher... (why everybody ends up doing hollywood *BLEEP*?) by the way, that first two films of Guy Ritchie are excellent but I think Madonna has killed his filming taste. Oh, I would add Terry Gillian, Clint Eastwood and of course, the old Scorsese. And spanish directors such as Alejandro Amenabar (one more time, his earlier work), Isabel Coixet, Juanma Bajo Ulloa, Fernando Le?n, Luis Bu?uel (a classic) and one from Argentina, Adolfo Aristarain. Check them out.
  13. If we talk about a present rock band... Queens of the Stone Age and if we talk about 90s, Soundgarden or Mudhoney. Some other great rock bands that deserve the best rock band label are Led Zeppelin, Stooges and Ramones. But I?m talking about rock in a more classic form... not heavy, punk, hardcore, pop, etc.
  14. Although we are in music subforum... I have to reply this.I found much more hilarious "Life of Brian". The Holy Grail is a classic also but I prefer the first one. The TV series was also very good and I have to say that the films in spanish are much less funny because of the overdub. The original voices makes me laugh without any joke. They are undoubtely within the best humorists of all ages.

  16. I like FFVII and FFIX but also had great entertainment with snes games like FFVI and FFV. Although the poor graphics in comparison, they were really good rpgs.
  17. If I have to choose one, definitely rock. I also like pop and old songs... but I don?t think its an specificic genre, so I like old good rock, pop, blues, reggae, soul, whatever, songs.I listen to some hip hop as well but I prefer underground hip hop to multiplatinum EEUU artists. French hip hop has for me the highest skill right now. I mostly hate R&B. it?s always the same thing. And I found country horrible except for some interesting artists like Johnny Cash and alt-country bands.I listen to some electronic music to... but I don?t like to call it dance. If dance means disco, easy house or other macrodisco stuff, then I don?t listen to dance. And of course... other

  19. I?m not a great analist of operating systems. I like Windows XP because I think it?s really much more stable than previous windows versions (at least home versions). But I also find them too much colourful and it seems that they?ve intended to make it difficult to configure some settings by users. But maybe it?s only an impression.
  20. Yes, that exactly what I mean. There are two variants of the indie term. But it?s not very common to call "indie" a band that makes classic heavy metal, for example. So people use it to talk about bands with an special sound... that commonly in late 80s early 90s was new and fresh (you know, all that explosion of rock and pop bands that came around Nirvana?s success). Kurt Cobain for example was a big fan of Sonic Youth and The Pixies and were the first ones, Sonic Youth the first to tell Geffen about a band in Seattle that sounded really good to sign with it.Dunno... maybe there?s also some kind of attitude that makes that bands not to behave like old rock star stereotypes...So it?s not about and specific sound and it?s not about releasing for an indie label or a major. Indie frontiers are not very clear and it?s like all styles... you can?t classify everything without a doubt.
  21. Yes, Bleach was recorded in Sub Pop. Later, when Nirvana had a boom in Geffen I think they re-edited the album together with Sub Pop.By the way... we haven?t mentioned Radiohead, Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine...
  22. My choice is... Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, a real machine!! and in a more crazier way, Les Claypool from Primus. The are some other great bass players but I think these two reclaim more attention.
  23. ROCK. It has to be explained but in general that?s the shortest word to say it.I am into a lot of styles of popular music (pop, rock, metal, punk, hardcore, emo, industrial, hip-hop, crooner, post-punk, grunge, indie) but I think that most of my favourite bands are considered ALTERNATIVE bands. Here, some names:Nirvana, Soundgarden, Weezer, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Queens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney, Ramones, Kyuss, Sigur Ros, At the drive-in, Portishead, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Pavement, Beastie Boys, Outkast, Incubus, Beck, Mark Lanegan, Tom Waits, Primal Scream, Garbage and a long etc.
  24. For me, this would be the order more or less...Pixies (4 absolutely brilliant studio records)Sonic Youth (The longest career. They are respected in almost all scenes)Pavement (For two first awesome albums, and the rest that are still good)Joy Division (I wouldn?t call them indie but great influencing band)Yo La Tengo (These means underground in indie)Stone Roses (Incredible debut, nice second... but unfortunately that?s all)Teenage Fan Club (I Liked them when they used more electricity)Death Cab For Cuttie (Sometimes a very teenage-like band. I love Transatlaticism)Modest Mouse (Only have last record but it?s like mixig Pixies with The Clash. Very very good one)Franz Ferdinand (Very refreshing but they still have to make a point in their second record)The Charlatans UK (They are original but their music don?t say too much to me)Belle And Sebastian (Too limp for me)Built To Spill, Flaming Lips and Grandaddy: Only heard singles... so I can?t opine.I?d add Dinosaur Jr., Weezer, H?sker D?, Blur (well, they have an indie side) and Pulp, for example. In fact, I like indie-rock with transgresive music or lyrics more than indie-pop.
  25. I signed for it but I found it slow when attempting to connect. Don?t know if its usual or it was only that time. It would be great if it works well... but don?t know how many users can handle as long as it?s a motorcycle club and not a great internet company such as google or yahoo.
