  1. I tried it again. Its working now. I have no idea what was happening, but when I tried it at about 2PM GMT+11 it was working again!
  2. I was just randomly accessing the cPanel today and when I tried accessing the 'CGI Centre' It gives me this error message <!-- Let's Not see the results of the install of cgiemail ...safeunlock: Invalid arguments at /usr/local/cpanel/SafeFile.pm line 91. SafeFile::safeunlock(undef) called at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/FileUtils.pm line 331 Cpanel::FileUtils::safecopy('/usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/randhtml.cgi-wrap', '/home/obelisk/public_html/cgi-bin/randhtml.cgi') called at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Fileman.pm line 2520 Cpanel::Fileman::installfile('/usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/randhtml.cgi-wrap', '/home/obelisk/public_html/cgi-bin/randhtml.cgi') called at cpanel.pl line 2913 main::dofileman('installfile("/usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/randhtml.cgi-wrap","$home...') called at cpanel.pl line 1496 main::exectag('<cpanel Fileman="installfile("/usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/randhtml...') called at cpanel.pl line 4361 main::dotag(undef) called at cpanel.pl line 4250 main::cpanel_parseblock('SCALAR(0x8f6840c)') called at cpanel.pl line 4204 main::cpanel_parse('GLOB(0x91853c0)') called at cpanel.pl line 1027[a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive] I tried accessing CGI centre many, many times. It still shows the same error message. If there is already a solution to this problem, I am sorry for double posting but search didn't show up any relevant results. Any admins, or mods please help... *EDIT* oh, and just to let you know... I did not edit any files even remotely relating to 'cPanel'
  3. *update (if I have already posted in this forum)*3 Fish*unknown gender*a lionhead, a fantail, and a unknown type of fish. names are:lionhead romeo, fantail juliet, and fred. (I did not name these)
  4. You should just tell your parents how you are feeling right now. Hopefully they will understand. With your depression thing, you should go to your school's counseling teacher or someone you really trust or your life partner. You should remember that there is a reason for everything, if you and your girlfriend broke up because you were too different to her than you should know that there always should be a person that is right for you. Try not to repress your emotions, let them out (but don't go over the top). Just try to do your homework and stuff and do something that you enjoy doing. Your depression should slowly go away. My grandfather passed away recently and I am trying to get over that. I just try to think of something happy tat will take away the pain and sorrow...Remember... You can't just live, you need something to live for. And no matter what happens DO NOT COMMIT SUICIDE! don't even think about it! You'll get over it. I'm sure you would... Just hang in there and everything should go back to normal
  5. I'm currently using phpBB3 which you can download from https://www.phpbb.com/. In my opinion, it is a lot better than phpBB2 and is pretty much on par and some features are actually better (in my opinion) than invision power board.
  6. Well, I just watched the video too *video called ghosts on the underground Seems spooky. The infrasound only explains so much. And the last statement made by the narrator just spooked me even more Some other paranormal experiences like the one with the person walking on the ballast, the person working in that island place etc etc... are very frightening, not only because they have been seen by so many people but they have also died a terrible death... I really hate the feeling of when you are being watched. I also hate some places that suddenly feel so cold... Watching this video will make me be very paranoid every time I go through Melbourne's city loop. We should try not to disturb graves and crypts, they need to be left in peace so they may rest in peace... We should all feel sorry for those that die around us. I personally don't believe in ghosts, although I very much do believe in paranormal things. I myself is also christian and so will know that God protects me from harm. If you are scared of ghosts, paranormal things, or anything, I suggest that you adopt a religon. I recommend christianity but any religon should do... You can just live - you need something to live for...
  7. I normally use Dreamweaver for this, but for quick edits I use Notepad++.Not only does it have syntax highlighting, it also loads a lot faster than dreamweaver. Though dreamweaver does have a lot nicer user interface and is a lot easier to code with.
  8. are you sure? because the website worked fine for me... It could be because of Xisto having too many visitors that the server couldn't handle your request for your website. Sometimes happen for me but in around 5 minutes my website is back to normal. Anyhoo, if you want to get technical a moderator or admin will help...
  9. Ok, this review is on... http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ 1. You need a doctype! no matter how good your coding is you must have a doctype (jlhaslip will probably also say this). Having a doctype also makes your site look more professional. 2. Your site does not display properly in FireFox. I recommend that you add a doctype then it should work (the 'contact us' button gets cut off, so you'll only see 'con') 3. Too many advertisements. There are too many, people who have adsense and are making some money from it should know that its about where you place the advertisements, not how much... 4. Advertisements are too blended with the rest of the page. If a determined person was desperate to find flash clocks that person might click on every single advertisement about flash clocks, and if you know google, google will start getting suspicious. unblend them a little, place them in places which are viewed a lot and don't forget to remove some... 5. Also, did I forget to mention that you have no closing </body> tag...
  10. huh... I doesn't seem to work that well with firefox. But you also didn't do a doctype which is most likely the reason for it not working. Other wise the colours and layout is pretty good. Your logo for some reason reminded me of blood splattered across a window... But good site. Should do more support for other browsers and should put in a doctype. Doctypes aren't really required but to make the site look professional you must have a doctype. When you do add a doctype go to http://www.w3.org/ and validate your site so that you can make sure that your site has absolutely no coding errors...
  11. Yes, get a desktop. I know quite a few people who got laptops who thought they just looked 'cool' and so that they can take them to school, friend's houses etc etc... I got my laptop because that I was going to move from new zealand to australia two weeks later so no point in getting desktop. But if you can get a desktop... Otherwise. For your requirements, I would recommend getting a computer US$ 1600-2000. And what is your budget by the way? Get atleast Dual Core (Core 2 Duo, not a Core Duo, and certainly not Pentium Dual Core), get atleast 2GB of ram, try getting 667MHz. Hard drives should be around 200GB, and try getting a decent graphics chip none of that intel made stuff... If you haven't much money to spend try buying it from a local computer store or dell. If you have money to bathe in then go to Falcon Northwest they have the best laptops many times better than alienware, which is a subdivision of dell...
  12. I don't think you should get windows XP Pro, pro is only good if you are using the computer as a server or something, otherwise use windows XP media centre edition (MCE).Get windows XP Media centre edition (MCE) only if you use the computer to play a lot of direct X9 games otherwise get windows vista get home premium for normal use, otherwise if you use some networking get business edition, if you do both get ultimate. For linux I would keep it installed but it should do good with the other operating system. Just a question though which version of linux is it? uBuntu? so to sum up... use windows XP media centre edition (MCE) for gaming, windows vista (home premium) for media centre computer, windows vista (business edition) for light networking etc etc.. and windows vista (ultimate) if you want to use a media centre computer as a central server for your home network...I personally don't like linux that much, because what you can do on it you can also do on windows XP. But it is pretty fun to just play with the features every once in a while. And a tip: don't get MAC, it just plainly isn't as good as XP or vista... only get it if you are a serious graphics designer or something...
  13. But what if we could make 'tree farms'? We can put trees in giant greenhouses in places like the Siberian plains. Specialized membranes would only allow Carbon dioxide and small amounts of oxygen in and the trees would suck up that carbon dioxide and release oxygen, then the oxygen is released back into the world. This would be a very good idea for places where trees don't normally grow. And what if we build giant atmospheric scrubbers that suck up the carbon dioxide? The carbon dioxide inside the scrubbers would then be placed into tree farms where the carbon dioxide is then released converting it to Oxygen. We'd have to think about the worst possible circumstance - the human race slowly dying because of too much carbon dioxide in the air... we have to do all we can to stop this from happening...
  14. Man your computer isn't that good (no offence),Mine is a Dell Inspiron 1501AMD Turion 64 1 core @ 2.0GHz 512KB L2 Cache 1GB DDR2 533MHz RAM (Shared with Graphics)80GB HDD (5400RPM)CD/DVD +-RW (not dual layer)Windows XP service pack 2/Windows Vista15.4" 1280x800 LCD64MB/128MB/256MB changeable graphics chip aperture size (currently on 128MB)This may seem average for some people but remember that I actually put up with this, and I play supcom/FA on this!
  15. Well, I haven't modified any part of the code. There isn't much to reply to. But I just though it would be a lot better if the ads opened up as a new window or tab instead of just a normal like...
  16. Yes, you are right. You, my friend are not right. please refer to the person above (2nd post) for the answer. This question has never been hard to many people, it is just how long it took them to find the answer. If I didn't tell you that it was logical many might have though t it was mathematical... the correct answer is : 31131211131221
  17. I knew of this question and its answer so i wanted to share it with you people here on Xisto itself... Anyway this question is designed to to test your logic, not your mathematic skills despite it being numbersok, the question:111211211111221312211131122211113213211*find this line*I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but I couldn't manage to find a 'logic questions' section.Anyway, Feel free to discuss this, but please keep the answer quiet, if you happen to find the answer please PM me and I will tell you if it is correct.
  18. well, i didn't know that viruses still went after the master boot record. I always scan any file I download from an untrusty source using virusscan.jotti.org but the biggest security threat comes from my parents. I can't believe that my mum clicked "No" when that WinFixer ad popped up, luckily I unplugged the ethernet cable before the download was completed. Anyhoo, I just hope it doesn't do more damage like downloading more and more viruses from servers around the world. If it does infect the master boot record, the only way is to re-format your computer or use some dodgy program that "restores your master boot record" I just hope that people won't turn to the old tricks used in the old days when we had those 10megabyte hard drives such as the classic (and sometimes funny) "I LUV U" virus and that "You Have Mail -Click here to go to your inbox" one... because some anti-virus programs don't even care about those viruses anymore...
  19. I don't usually <- snipped -> ads, but when I did it didn't open up a new window or tab for that person's website. So my question is.... Is there anyway for me to modify the adsense code that allows the ad to open up a new window or tab when being clicked on? Doing this would allow me to keep visitors (although not many at all) at my site and won't go wandering off to other ads.
  20. Who knows? The world's population is increasing dramatically, within maybe one thousand years Earth may look something like Coruscant or even worse, Holy Terra. But by then, Mars should be completely terra-formed. Ayway, we need to develope advanced and exotic technologies if the human race is to survive, and one way is to find planets suitable of being inhabited. And not to alert possibly hostile aliens to the location of Earth. Discovering this solar system among the many others will greatly improve on how Solar Systems are discovered and lower the percentage of chance of being false alarms. As you said, we must be very careful to not destroy that eco-system, the common cold which is a nuisance on Earth, might be some great plague that wipes out their civilization withing seconds. And we must make sure that first contact is friendly and that we (the human race) will not give them (if more advanced than they (the aliens) are) our technology until they are trusted to do so.We must also make sure that the planet has no 'hidden surprises' so that the planet won't be a giant super-volcano or the Sun is really unstable and will suddenly go supernova if any iron is in contact with the hydrogen core. And last of all, we must respect their technology, and must not scavenge it for our own (possibly evil) uses. We must also respect them. All the above is what we should do if we do make contact, but there is always the chance that this planet is a gas giant twenty times the size of Jupiter and half of it goes inside the sun during summer...
  21. well, what if God was an acsended being. Being made of infinite energy in a plane of existence above ours. Those who are pure of heart will ascend with him gaining all that he has gained, and those who have evil thoughts will descend into a plane of eternal suffering...
  22. Of course it is! There are many different ways. But i doubt NASA will have the funds to do it. By the time where we could travel to space just as simple as going to a nearby amusement park, then we would have ships completely made of carbon nanotube fibres and titanium-carbon nanotube interweave as the hull. Let us just hope that by that time, we have perfected the process of reviving people from suspended animation and that we can achieve the temperature of absolute zero. Let us also hope that we have achieved much higher propulsion efficiency. But by then I doubt there will be a 'NASA' by then there should be a giant multi-national agency.
  23. well, if you can't decide mix them all together... yes, use the functionality of the XBOX 360 but use the controllers of the wii, but also remember the graphics and cpu of the ps3...But if you have to pick one, I'd go with the xBOX360, it has the best functions and can act as a media centre PC
  24. We shouldn't try to make first contact! We should develop our own technologies so that atleast we are on par with maybe asgard (from stargate). Because there is without a doubt that many 'aliens' out there are not going to be friendly. Trying to make first contact is inviting a technologically superior species to Earth, and what if they react violently? We'd be helpless... and remember the saying -curiosity killed the four legged feline (cat). Also, the moon Europa orbiting Jupiter has an ice surface, considering what Jupiter can do to Io then underneath the surface of Europa must be vast oceans teeming with life. Life doesn't need sunlight, as long as it has warmth, moisture, and nutrients it will survive. Considering how many solar systems that area out there (googols, maybe even googolplexes) of 'em. About atleast 3/4? will be blue supergiants with super gas giants orbiting it etc etc. Others will have super gas giants orbiting suns and during summer (on that planet) half of it goes inside the star itself.Others will have a look similar to our solar system but that number will be miniscule. And last of all, the pictures of stars we are seeing are actually millions and billions of year old, some stars would have even being destroyed and moved. So a star presumed to be '10 million years old' and is '10 billion light years away' but in real-time the star is already 10 bil+10mil years old...Just considering how vast the universe is, there must be live. There could even be life on the ice surface of Europa...
  25. could be a virus, did you notice anything suspicious before this happened? Also, upgrade to WinXP Service pack 2 or windows Vista. Also try resetting your bios options back to factory defaults and flash it to the latest version is needed. In the worst case scenario, re-format the hard drive and install windows XP service pack 2 or windows vista. Could also mean a faulty drive, take it out and put in another one that works and see if this still happens, if it does could be RAM, CPU, mobo etc etc. replace a part with one you know works and if all of them don't work, get a new computer.I am sure Saint_Michael or someone ill give better explanations but I'm running out of time...
