  1. UFO stands for unidentified flying object, so anything that is flying and you don't know what it is is a UFO, UFO doesn't necessarily mean aliens you know...The US government does NOT possess the most advanced technology in the world, many governments of the European Union have the most advanced technologies.
  2. UFO doesn't necessarily mean aliens, it stands for Unidentified Flying Object, so anything that cannot be identified and is flying can be called a UFO. I do believe in aliens however, and I do believe that they have been visiting Earth, I also believe that many governments in the world are part of a secret 'pact' and has access to advanced technologies that are to be slowly 'leaked' into the world to stop panic and confusion. I also believe that some sci-fi shows are a cover-up for the real thing, so there could be a 'Stargate' located inside Cheyenne Mountain, or there could be a 'fleet' of ships trying to locate earth... Have you heard of the Tunguska event? There are many theories of how it would of happened that involve aliens, Damaged alien ship, damaged alien ship caused by Nikola Tesla's experiments, aliens trying to save earth from a 'weapon'
  3. NO! the oxygen and hydrogen is then mixed and combusted (two ways, either piston engine or drives and electric motor), the fuel is then turned into water again. And the process is restarted.
  4. HAHA! but that might be dangerous, injecting hydrogen directly into the combustion chamber might leave water vapour which can cause your engine to die out. If you want to increase horsepower, pour sugar and mothballs into the fuel tank... and keep eggs to drop in your radiator if it spouts a leak (Confirmed, Plausible, Comfirmed (but not recommended for a permenant solution, in that order by MythBusters)
  5. oh, you missed one really big game that is supposed to be a prequel and a sequel (I have no idea how EA is going to do that but hey!) and that game is called, Command and Conquer: Tiberium wars (a stupid name, the game was supposed to be called tiberian twilight): Kane's Wrath... - Spring 08 There are also tumors about a new forged alliance expansion (as QAI says... highlight to see the message *spoiler* *end spoiler*
  6. You should always do the most compregensive scan on any file without a digital signature, and even if it does scan it anyway if it comes from a wierd source (like some company you've never heard of before and has a random name).MD5 or CRCs help a lot, and if the download page (from a trusty source) states the original MD5 or CRC then check that the MD5 hash or CRC matches with what the program you just downloaded. Every once in a while, do a full system scan in safe mode and go and check that all the infected files and/or registry entries are removed since they may open backdoors...
  7. I just got another problem, The picture is pretty blurry yes, but my main camera is 'out of town' and so I had to use a mobile phone's 2.0 MP camera on night mode. Anyway, the other problem is... I found a spider looking awfully like a red-back spider underneath my bed. I've seen a red back before, but this time I only got to see its underside before it crept away. What should I do?
  8. haha! making your home the worst possible target. I recommend dynamic timers, that turn lights on and off at random, dynamic radio+TV timers. Carbon-Nanotube shutters (haha! good luck with that one!)Anyway, bullet proof automatic window+door shutters, military surveillance standard heavily armoured infared, ultrasound+normal light cameras. hehe, good luck protecting your home...
  9. Well, I was using the computer when I saw this giant unidentified spider. I am just wandering if anyone can help me identify it. The image quality is quite bad, because it is a night-time photograph and I did take this image using my mother's mobile phone, anyway here is the image: underside- i didn't manage to take a picture of its upside before it moved and had to be killed I think it is a huntsman spider, but from pictures of them, it looks too dark. I just hope it ain't no spider equivalent to the red-back, the black-widow, or the sydney-funnel-web
  10. I am just wondering, for example if I buy the domain http://www.test-test.com/ and redirect it to my Xisto site will I still have the subdomain I signed up with?So just breaking it down:test-test.trap17.com *Beforethenadd domain http://www.test-test.com/ can I still access my website using test-test.trap17.com?and second question, can I use two domains and redirect them both to my Xisto site, so for example I have two domains http://www.test-test.com/ and http://imptestrm.com/rg-erdr.php?_dnm=www.testing-testing.com&_cfrg=1&_drid=as-drid-2300300503455222 can I redirect then both to the same Xisto website?not saying that i will be doing this (domains are just getting more and more expensive by the yocto-second...)
  11. well, I have no idea where you would find all the materials needed for under US$1000 but good luck anyway. There are also other designs instead of the Water->Hydrogen+Oxygen->BANG!-Piston->Movement but also ones like Water->Hydrogen+Oxygen->BANG!-Spins turbine to generate electricity->Electric Motor->MovementThe second one will be a lot better because the first one, you will need to think of an efficient way of removing the water vapour from the piston's combustion chamber but keep it from washing out the engine oil which would be very hard indeed. But the second option is a lot easier, because all you need to do is just collect the water vapour from the other side of the 'windmill'.But how would you separate the Oxygen from the hydrogen after the water has been electrolized? A simple suggestion would be to have a fan sucking the gases into a special polymer where oxygen will stay at one layer and later be collected and the hydrogen going straight through with extra polymers that let the oxygen through whilst blocking the hydrogen.I am pretty sure some random scientist at a random car manufacturing company will think of a better solution.
  12. That is where you are run, hydrogen combustion engines are way too dangerous for normal consumer use. The cars are water-fuel cell powered. A tank full of water is then shocked by electricity (electrolysis) to extract and separate the hydrogen and oxygen in the water, then the two are combusted to power (most likely a piston engine) the engine. The two are reverted back to water and the whole process begins again. Cars like this are very, very efficient, and all you need to do is refill the tank every now and then (around 2-3 months?) and add a new battery every maybe year? These cars are still under testing and should be available to consumers in around 4-5 years?
  13. Well, it is a very hard decision, but I'm going to go 0.5 for Mich's and another 0.5 for Saint_Michael's so the 'Points' board is now at... I was going to give 0.6 to Saint_Michael and 0.4 to Mich but then I thought it would make it too complicated, hehe.
  14. That is where you are terribly wrong... so wrong... We have higher technology than you think (da-di-da... Plasma shields (yes, plasma shields), railguns (yes, rail guns...)) And just by a little bit of chance we have a way to increase the speed of light, it works kind of like a wind tunnel (don't blame me for not thinking of a better example). So if nothing can go faster than the speed of light, why not make the speed of light go faster? But what if we could envelope a 'ship' in an area of space which does not apply the normal laws of physics and so the craft can go faster than the speed of light, and also because it does not obey the normal laws of physics it can just by chance travel in real-time (so 1 minute inside is also 1 minute outside regardless of the object's speed). You mentioned fuel, or in this case energy. What if we can create a device which 'uses' the zero point energy in this universe (I know the vacuum energy is minucule but this universe is vast, its energy reserves are... are infinite)

    Death

woo! This is a really nice design although if you do say it, it does look extremely like mother mary, I would of gone with a 'Darth Sidious' look on on skulled figure, and the rays do make it look some sort of 'divine'. I would of also added a bloody (covered in blood (not an insult)) Sickel too...
  16. you said that you just wanted to test out linux, you could use ubuntu's 'live boot' feature or you can just install it on a virtual PC, it works well, because if you don't like (almost impossible) it would be very annoying deleting a whole partition, but with virtual PC, you can just delete the whole 'virtual hard drive'
  17. Main pests, ants, those little damn creatures creeping around looking for the tiniest of the tiny yoctoscopic crumbs, crumbing away at food, and what is worse? I also have tiny little spiders crawling away and crawling into bedding, shoes etc, lucky i have no trap/funnel webs in my house. When I go outside the same swarm of flies swarm me and at night those mosquitos try desperately to break through my window and the noise they make when they fly just disrupts my sleep. unlike you guys, i haven't seen a cockroach in my house yet, and haven't seen any spider more poisonous than they humble redback in my life...
  18. Dang! I spent all that time learning XHTML Transitional and you tell me XHTML Strict is better? Oh, why! I liked your tutorial and now that you've put those doctypes in it really makes it look a lot more professional. Also, I do agree that iFrames are not the best thing in HTML (I personally prefer divs), and it did run a bit slow when I uploaded it and used my '56k' connection, good review and happy reviewing!
  19. have you ever being paid? are you sure it is not a scam or anything even remotely close to netbux? Personally I would stick with the trusty ol' bux.to. I might give this a go, but how long would it take you to reach payout? um... lets see, 0.005 per click that is every ten click per day, so 5 cents a day? 5 cents a day? I'd get more money posting on blogs than doing this, PTCs are a waste of time (even bux.to) you're only getting mere cents while spending what 5 minutes viewing advertisements?
  20. wow! I live in Melbourne, I have no idea who you are but merry late christmas!Just remember to read the rules and stay out of trouble, also happy posting...
  21. huh, by that time we'd be saying... 'Hey, remember back in the old days when we had those 'terabyte' hard drives?' *laughs* And by then, each one of us will probably have a direct optical fibre connection to the local telephone exchange... we'd have 3.5" HDD with space of over 10TB and the ISPs would always be getting cheaper, this is just like the year 2000 robot rebellion thing... and the internet is NOT a giant server, it is spread out amongst millions of computers and servers, those computers and servers are what keeps the internet alive, but the problem is... Bandwidth, its what keeps the internet together. Maybe in 5-10 years almost everyone in the world would have access to the internet, and we would need ISPs that can actually handle all the request, there are two main solutions... Have giant ISPs that can afford anything and has almost total control of the world's internet so they would have the money to upgrade everything and turn everything into fibre optics (not recommended) or there is thousands of little ISPs that control maybe a suburb or a small part of a city (recommended), because then nobody will ever have total control of the internet, and also will allow a lot more bandwidth... The chances of this happening are almost impossible, we are a lot more technologically advanced than you might think (think about it, we have access to plasma shields (yes plasma shields), rail guns (yes rail guns like the ones in Stargate and CNC (slightly different though)) and much much more... We'd evolve (technologically) fast enough to compensate for our needs although the most dangerous thing for humanity is our population growth, we'd soon run out of space to build outwards and then we'd have to build up, if NASA doesn't get those genetically modified bacteria on mars and start Terra-forming it so it could become a 'farming' world then we'd be screwed if Earth even remotely ends up like 'Coruscant' or even worse 'Holy Terra'
  22. i never, ever try to make eye contact. I always look beyond them, but it still looks like I'm focused in the conversation. I can't even manage a single bit of pure eye contact, for some reason it just feels so wrong, it makes me feel small compared to the person I'm 'eye contacting' and it sort of looks like I'm being 'growled' at by the person I'm 'eye contacting'. Also, like you I notice how a person's teeth, breath, hair etc is... It's just very, very distracting, and another thing is, people tend to make eye contact with you, I find that very scary for some reason, mainly because it makes me looks so small...
  23. I wonder how did you get the photo of the space needle when you live in Texas? That picture is my least favourite too, The bridge kind of ruined it. But everything else is very good, which reminds me. I have to upload some of the pictures of my former backyard (now moved to a different country (permanently)) And some pictures of the Sydney harbour bridge and opera house...You could simply just get a gallery with 'next picture' and 'previous picture' links.Liked your site, and good job with the frames (i was never really good at frames)
  24. demonoid has been closed down, and will never be brought back online unless the CRIA (i think) somehow 'disappears'. So there, and if you are going to download 'unlawful' stuff then i'm not going to help you even more. Discussing illegal stuff is 'illegal' here on Xisto. Although if you are going to use it for good uses (such as harmless file sharing etc...) then there are many other sites (which I will not say here, so just search google)
  25. Merry Christmas to you all, I just can't wait for the new year *gets countdown timer*.Merry Christmas to all the mods and admins who made the best free hosting in the world possible...
