Coke Music Vs Habbo Hotel Which would you prefer?
Atomic0 replied to iGuest's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I think Coke Music has been closed down now and replaced my CC Metro, which is a virtual island in the virtual world There. -
Call Of Duty 4 Also CoD4 vs Battlefield 2
Atomic0 replied to Herbert1405241469's topic in Computer Gaming
Call of Duty 4 overall is more enjoyable than Battlefield 2 in terms of gameplay and graphics, although Battlefield 2 multiplayer has vehicles (including airplanes) and the ability for a single person to command the team. I suppose Call of Duty 4 is better in single player and Battlefield 2 slightly better in multiplayer. -
That's nice. For my new computer, I have a Gigabyte GeForce 9600GT 1GB PCI-E 2 Dual DVI graphics card outputing to a Samsung 2493HM 24-inch monitor, so I can show two applications on the screen as one e.g. browser and word processing.
-
My computer itself cost around AUD1,900 while my 24-inch monitor cost AUD725 (minus 100 for a Samsung Promotional Rebate). Spending 4000 dollars on a computer is really not worth it, because the top hardware is not always needed and that hardware these days easily become out-of-date and superseded by newer hardware.

I have a Samsung 2493HM 24-inch monitor with a matte LCD panel. It doesn't reflect light coming from outside, and displays images and text with high contrast without blurring. This may be due to the monitor's 1000:1 contrast ratio (Dynamic Contrast 10,000:1). I originally thought my monitor was glossy until I checked the specifications, although I think there is plastic or glass covering the LCD panel.

I use Adobe Dreamweaver as my WYSIWYG when designing my site. I use the design view to get a general preview of the code, but mainly use code view to write the necessary HTML and CSS coding for my site.

Are you talking about Kaspersky Antivirus and Avira Antivir?I feel that Kaspersky Antivirus is more popular and more used than the Avira Antivir, which is not mentioned a lot in most antivirus comparative reviews. Personally, if I had to make a choice, I would use Kaspersky Antivirus since I have not seen any reviews on the Antivir program.

Games For Samsung D900 Install games with data cable
Atomic0 replied to Aequitas619's topic in Software
I think for most mobile phones, you transfer the .jar files from your computer to your phone using the data cable. You may have to activate data transfer mode on your mobile to this, unless the computer automatically connects to your mobile phone when you plug in the data cable into the computer. After transferring the files onto the computer, you will need to simply open the file on your mobile phone, which should initiate installation the first time it is run. -
Microsoft would have no idea what your product key was unless you have registered your software with them. It would be quite difficult to try to find out what the key was. Probably, you would have to purchase a new product key in order to reinstall the Office XP suite.

It personally think it is more of a go-kart than a car by the look of the design. It probably lacks the power to drive at speeds of normal cars and looks quite dangerous to drive on real roads.

An obvious disadvantage of a virtual keyboard is the lack of tactile feedback when pressing a key, making it more difficult to type. However, the virtual keyboard is very portable compared to conventional keyboards that may be bulky to carry around when needed.

Some of these pictures of the bomb tests looks like an explosion from a nuclear bomb, especially the last one. I suppose I can't really say I like these photos, since use of these bombs negatively impacts on people and environment in such a way that causes damage and harm to others.

Astahost Is Dead Still trying to contact Admin
Atomic0 replied to Animator's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Applications take time to be processed, as Admins are not always available on the forum or forget to check the web hosting requests section. I remember when I applied it took around a week or more to have the application approved, so I could activate my hosting account, which didn't quite work the first few times due to server maintenance. Nevertheless, I am quite satisfied with Xisto's free web hosting and didn't mind waiting for my application and hosting account to be approved. -
The freeware programs I sue include:Mozilla Firefox 3SafariWindows Live MessengerRocketdockWinSplit RevolutionCalgoo CalendarI particular like Rocketdock, a dock similar to the one in Mac OS but for Windows.

I used to have one just for the monitor so I could switch the display between two computers. Sometimes the switch causes the signal quality of the computer-monitor connection to be degrade, in same cases causing the screen to become more 'yellow' then the image actually is.

Basically, to create a 'vista' you just need a camera unless you want to draw the view yourself.Off-topic: Interestingly enough, no one has made any comment about 'adobe', a natural building material.

GMail has the most sleek and simple interface you would find anywhere. The only really other option is Windows Live Mail, which is Hotmail renamed with a new AJAX webmail that looks cool and high-tech.

Somebody Steal Your Blog?
Atomic0 replied to dravid1405241559's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I am sure that this plugin doesn't do anything to stop someone from stealing or hijacking your blog. It is more a tool for requiring phone confirmation as part of the user login system, which I personally think it is highly unnecessary and would probably drive the site's visitors away. -
WebSite Development and Management Tools
Atomic0 replied to proxies's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I use Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 for my main development work and occasionally use Adobe Flash CS3 for developing multimedia applications. I haven't used any site testing tools yet, so I'll try the tools you have suggested. -
If your looking for professional hosting, you are better off going to more reputable web hosts such as MediaTemple. One thing to be careful with web hosts is some of them oversell their storage and bandwidth, plus their shared servers usually suffer heavy load since they host lots of websites on a single server.

I suppose it would be possible to put faster DDR3 RAM into your P35 motherboard, but it may not work properly or reach the RAM speed of 1333MHz. It would probably be cheaper to buy a 1066MHz DDR3 RAM memory sticks rather than a faster speed stick that may not even reach its full potential on the P35 motherboard.
-
I usually choose a motherboard which has onboard audio (most do anyway) because buying a separate audio card costs more and takes up a PCI or PCI Express slot. The brands I usually have are the following:CPU - IntelMotherboard - Gigabyte (running Intel Chipsets)RAM - KingstonGraphics card - Gigabyte (running Nvidia Chipsets)Hard disk - SeagateI tend to stick the the big name brands because they are more reliable and their support is better.

In Australia, it is not possible to send a text message to any of the emergency numbers (e.g. 000, 112, 106).There is really no need to use SMS for emergency text message because it is more efficient and effective to use the voice as communication rather then text in an emergency situation.

Do You Believe In Magic? Do u belive in magic =?
Atomic0 replied to Feelay's topic in Science and Technology
Magic, in my view, is just fiction. It just doesn't exist. All those things people claim to be magic (e.g. magic tricks) are just occurrences where people's perceptions are changed to think the act was 'supernatural'. -
If something good happened (e.g. getting healed from sickness), I would prefer to call it a 'gift from God' rather than a miracle.
