  1. It's definitely been improving a lot though Johnny. I'm sure if things keep progressing at this rate, standards at Xisto will be up there within a matter of months.Anyway, I vote for Trufusion. Great background which works well with render. Text has a nice feel to it too, though could still be improved on
  2. That is an awesome sig.Love the sticky tape concept with the angled sig. Totally original, and fitting with the given greyish colour of the sig. The popout render is cut well, nice to have two parts popping out. Background is simple, but I don't see it needing any changing. Main text as script is nice, it gives the sig a feel of nostalgica/rememberance kind of thing. I would just get rid of the pixel text and choose a more formal font.
  3. Personally, I would have the main text bigger with some sort of effect on it - as the render is just a touch on the small side, so you need to compensate with the text. The pixel font is too pixellated? - It's hard to read - I'm not sure if you've used a size too big for the font, or it's the way it's supposed to be, but I'd recommend changing to a different pixel font just for the sake of readability. But the render and background are truly great, just right not it feels a little bare on the left.
  4. When you have a popout, the bit that's coming out of the signature, must be whole (that's the point of a popout - so the render is not restrained by the sig's borders). Thus, the top right corner really detracts from it, as his axe is chopped (excuse the pun). The background is a little plain - do some more brushing or effects in the back, and whilst scanlines are all good, lower the opacity of them, so they don't dominate so much. The main text is nice, but I wouldn't recommend having the pixel text over the render.Fix up the render first, and it'll look much better.
  5. Quite good, apart from how it's a little monotone as Snil said. I think the render use and border is quite good in the first, whilst the C4D render and brushing in the second is pretty neat. Thanks SM
  6. It doesn't need much of a border, but honestly a small black stroke defines the picture better and gives it a much more finished feeling.
  7. Bitorrent. And no. It's not out yet, although there is word the demo has been completed very recently, and it's simply waiting for marketing to release it. Actually, many players will tell you the Age of Empires games were really very good, amongst the best RTS games of the time. In fact, wasn't Age of Empires II extremely high in sales? One of the best sellers of all time or something. In comparison, many fans of Age of Empires didn't like Age of Mythology as much. Anyway for more information on Age of Empires III, try: https://www.ageofempires.com/ http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/age-of-empires-iii/646997p1.html http://pesquisa.sapo.pt/screenshots.aspx?id=445&type=1&q=g4mers%2Dzone&host=g4mers%2Dzone%2Esapo%2Ept&ptr=1 Or search on Google or something to find a ton more. I'm quite interested in seeing their new "Home City" system with upgrades and cards allowing reinforcements and upgrades. The idea of naval battles being a much bigger part of the game is interesting also.
  8. He's referring to the two renders. Anyway, overall decent brushing. As Frozen said, the stroke is a bit heavy on the text. And try not to use Base02
  9. Nice "concept" sig, but I really think you need to fix up the text. The pixellated feel isn't good - only in very specific circumstances does it work.If you must go with something simple, perhaps just a pixel text would do in itself.
  10. Lets hope some n00bs read this and we never see a borderless sig again. Good job
  11. That's a bit presumptious Good for a first sig, for sure - though I still think pixel stretches need to be blended a lot to avoid looking "whored"
  12. Welcome to the forums (yay fellow Aussie) - I agree though, simply pixel text by itself is getting annoying. I'm pretty sure he made the shatter - I've seen the render of Strike before, but never with orange beam + shattering glass.
  13. Seen pixel stretches with that render before: Scanlines are way too heavy SM, you need to put more brushing on it to hide some of the pixel stretch, and get a better font. Nice concept with the eyes though.
  14. Nice. I think some of the tech brushing doesn't quite work though. Great borders though, awesome effect on the second (though I swear the beam rifle shoots a green laser? )
  15. Geez I remember that thing - you had a few of them SM with that metallilc effect. Wasn't there a Cloud one or something as well?
  16. Hmm, works now... dunno why it didn't before.Nice concept with the middle bit highlighted due to the black sides
  17. Some awesome grunge there Sprite. Maybe just lower the contrast, or make the blue a bit darker in the third one.
  18. - I want to see it, but it's just user posted image.
  19. Where you get all of them SM?I'll give em a download soon - also, all the more recent ones aren't categorised - are they just random mixtures of renders?
  20. Nice job for PSP. I'd say just lower the height a little though - it's a bit tall. It's a bit monotone too - try some more colours next time - and I'm not really feeling the blurry kinda text. But hey, it's pretty damn good for a first sig
  21. Good use of popups overall... maybe you just need to play with matte settings to fix up the edges. I know I've seen some good .gif transperancies before, so it's not impossible.Love the Gundam Meteor one though... nice use of the render - I think your tech sigs work best.
  22. One of your better ones SM. Somehow the left doesn't coincide with the right so well, and the pixel text aint the best. Otherwise, render blending is pretty good.
  23. In which case, you probably need to make the text a bigger feature... coz the background's not really conceptual enough for it to stand almost by itself.
  24. Yeah, nice first try. Next time get a few more colours in it, and start off with simple text. Simple text can look acceptable, or good in situations. Overly complex/ugly text just never cuts it. Over bevelling is bad - remember that
