  1. Any chance for a link to the article? Or maybe even some quick outlining points about what is promised for Final Fantasy XII? - I'd love to know.
  2. Heh, Elisha is pure goodness. Great integration of the render in the signature - looks really good for a photo render. Maybe just a bit too dark on the sides for my liking.
  3. Bit too much pixel stretch for my liking. Some of the overcontrasting and grunge/cloud brushing isn't working so well either, but overall pretty good. IMO the Yoda one is the best - it's the cleanest.
  4. Don't really go for it... IMO if you have multi-colour grunge, generally you either go for rusted, metallic feeling (ie reds, greys, browns), or the colours have to be fairly dark. Maybe try the green a bit darker?Size is novel though - nice to see something different.
  5. Truefusion. Good render placement, and I like the text things on the top right.Nguyen: 0Saint_Michael: 0Reaver: 0Truefusion: 1Avalon: 0
  6. That's a pretty broad category to give. I suppose it depends namely on your PC specifications for games on that. PS2Action wise... well who could go past any of the Grand Theft Auto's? There are some great action platformers on the PS2 as well, such as Jak 3 and Rachet and Clank 3 - they are pretty fun, (and do involve a lot more action/shooting than you'd believe). Also are, of course, the FPS games, like Killzone, Timesplitters, but the PS2 isn't really the best for those and you'd be better off playing your PC. Metal Gear Sold 2 or 3 are pretty *darn* good though - also highly recommended for PS2. MMORPGs... not really much for PS2 apart from Final Fantasy XI (if you're lucky enough to be in the US).PCA lot more choice in terms of Action FPS or MMORPG's. World of Warcraft is definitely the favourite at this time, and if you've got time to kill and money to spend I'd say it's the best bet. FPS's, there's a ton of stuff just out recently that's great, such as Quake 4, F.E.A.R etc. If you're computer can't quite play those, then maybe Half Life 2, or if not even that, then Half Life the original offers some good quality cheap gaming, as you can also get Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, and all the other original mods for that. Call of Duty is great also, and the sequel has just come out as well I believe.
  7. Yeah, great stuff. I like your small size in sigs, but how they still manage to fit so much in. Great use of sprites in some of the first ones, and animation is pretty well done in those that have it. Oh and your tech borders are pretty sweet too
  8. w00t! Thanks man, keeping with the metallic-vectorish style I see love it
  9. Hahaha, poor Spidey. Interesting concept, but perhaps the vectors don't work as well in this context, maybe a more colourful cartoony thing to go with the "pow" would work better in this case, and somehow the background doesn't do justice to the render. Lovin' the "next episode bit" though - keep it up man.
  10. Yeah one of my friends introduced it to me. I'd have to highly recommend it. The character design is really cute, as well as the environment. It works really well in a cartoony kind of way. The battle system also, has a bit more depth to it than a lot of other free MMORPGs with it being a bit like a Strategy RPG in a sense, with squares, movement etc etc. For free it's definitely worth a play if you're into RPGS.
  11. One of your better ones SM. Works well, nothing I can really criticize.
  12. Actually, what I find annoying is the cost of phones, in terms of both calls and the phones themselves. People seem to "need" to be up to date with their phones, the whole camera thing, funky ringtones and little hanging ornaments off the top. Phones always seem to be rapidly upgrading, with all these extra features. I don't know whether they'll be a difference between your Palm Pilot, Laptop, Portable Gaming Console or Mobile Phone in the near future...Anyway, I personally tend to use my cell phone minimally, only when I need to find out where someone is or meeting up kind of arrangement. Otherwise, for telephone conversations, you're definitely much better off with your internet connection or a line phone (heck even a pay phone is cheaper for local calls).
  13. Some of them are pretty average, though a few really stand out as being rather good. I'd say you might need some better fonts though. It's ok to have simple fonts, but not the same simple font almost every time?

    Hosting Credits

I'm inclined to agree with you, Ryo. It is a pain, especially now even more forums seem to be non-credits. I actually preferred the old method, where it was a matter of activity, and when you found a good topic you just posted something good, other times you wouldn't as there would be nothing you could reply substantially to. Now, in order to keep the hosting going, I've had to force myself to post in topics, which, whilst is not totally useless, perhaps leads to lower quality posts.
  15. Dust 2 is actually pretty good, as the T's have quite a few ways to approach the bomb sites, so it's not easy for the CT's always to cover both. I've seen it as more of a Terrorist map rather than a CT one. Dust is way too CT orientated, especially on public servers, where it's near impossible to get your T team to rush.I reckon Inferno is the fairest map that's on just about every rotation...
  16. Definitely Counter Strike Source and Battlefield 2 on PC.FPS games really need to be played on PC for best multiplayer fun, online anyway. The PS2 isn't really the best for online play and FPS games anyway - you'd be better off with an Xbox. Apparantly Conflict Global Terror is rather average, and Star Wars Battlefront is alright, but Battlefield 2 really is good, and Counter Strike Source has a great online presence, though CS tends to be a love or hate affair these days.
  17. Reaver. Unique background brushing and good use of LOTR kind of theme. Samma: 1Mayank: 0Reaver: 1Avalon: 0D3moxx: 3Psychiccyberfreak: 0Truefusion: 0
  18. Maybe try something like Dungeon Siege (1 or 2)... I've only played 1, but it was rather fun, and I'm not really a huge fan of the point-click RPG's.
  19. In my opinion, it's no worse than say the overuse of "lol". Having "lol" everywhere is just as annoying... to take your sentence: - somehow I find lol more annoying, perhaps because you can't be laughing that many times, whereas you could possibly be making that kinda "XD" semi-constipated face for a longer period. today was a great day lol. it was so fun LOL. blah blah... I haven't noticed XD getting out of hand that much lately? But if you have, maybe it's something to do with that new Pokemon game on Gamecube... Pokemon XD? Overall though, I agree with mayank, emoticons or smilie shortcut things are great when not overused.
  20. Queensland Health is in an extremely bad state too, after the whole Dr. Death thing and all the other stuff - now they have that Mental Health report thing that's come out?Meh, the states blame lack of funding from the Federal Government, but the Federal Govt. says it's the State's responsibility... - they're really helping each other to solve the problem, no?
  21. I don't know... I guess if they beat you fair and square usually it's best to take the flak, as you know next time, you're gonna win and beat them That's all well and good for things like sport or academic achievement (even if it's a fickle event/test). Online games are another matter... I highly dislike it when some faceless unknown *BLEEP* thinks he's king of the world just because he won a measly game, or topped some scoreboard with frags or whatever. Yeah, rubbing it in among friends is just a bit of fun, can get funny when you shut 'em down in the next few seconds Sore losers in my book are much, much worse than inflated-ego-winners. People who can't admit you have the skill, or at least some acknowledgement. What annoys me is when they're like "Oh I didn't really try" or some excuse, rather than congratulating you for it... rematches are fine, as long as you keep beating them
  22. Yeah.. why'd they change it?... I'm not getting creds from any of the GFX forums.... *sigh*
  23. Nice and simple... change the font to something more retro, and make it quite a bit bigger and I think you got yourself something really stylish.
  24. I think it's a love or hate situation... I know a lot of people who love it, as well as a lot who would rather sleep than watch it. The greatest misconception though, is that it's for "children", and even Hayao Miyazaki's work (Ghibli) is quite enjoyable for older people, as some of the themes are only obvious to adults. Well, why is any sort of artform that's not realistic popular? If anything, it's just another art with it's particular style. It's appealing to some, less so to others. On the same token, why is any animated feature popular? Japanese animation tends to have a lot more detail in the drawings than western animation, and the extra exaggerated characters or gestures can make it rather amusing. Just coz you like anime, doesn't mean you like hentai. Japanese have crazy (creative even?) minds (hence the range of anime and plotlines available), so I guess, really, it's inevitable. I do have to admit it's over the top - but one can enjoy anime and not enjoy its more perverse counterparts.
  25. Woah a bit chaotic there. Some simple tips: - Get a border on your work - it defines the signature, gives it an edge, makes it feel finished- Simple is better than too complicated - especially when you start, try simpler effects and work up, your current background is a bit too much- Use a range of colours - monotone sigs are everywhere, and don't look great, try varying the colour you use at least (ie dark/light green, though two different colours is usually the way to go)- Choose and cut out your render well - can barely tell what you've used there, especially after it's been taken by the background....Give it another shot, the only way is up
