  1. I vote Phyre. It's a really unique shape and great use of render for it.
  2. Yep - it's the easiest thing to do. Just grab the render, duplicate it (or part of it) and run a motion blur through it I do wonder what happened to SM?
  3. Don't particuarly believe the poll is entirely accurate. For starters, GTA is also out on Xbox, and it is not really a flagship game for PS2 - though it is a big title. Same as for Nintendo - many would argue games like the Mario series etc were on-par with Zelda. PC has such a wide range of games, I don't think you can rate CS as no.1 on any account, especially seeing the popularity of other games (ie Blizzard's games - WC, SC, WoW) are damn big also.Anyhow:Best Online - CSBest Shooter - HaloMost Original - GTA (the original was damn unique)You basically chose a game from each category
  4. I'm pretty sure you can get PSP brushes and stuff though, but as you said Johnny, I haven't seen many good sigs come out of it.Maybe a better choice would have been Photoshop Elements - it's about the same as PSP and has a lot of Photoshop stuff in it - I've seen some pretty good Elements sigs...
  5. Hey that's pretty darn good Johnny. One of your better signatures in my opinion.Perhaps, though, the brushing on top of the render doesn't quite feel quite right - might need to be a bit "less straight", so it gives off a smoke instead of a light feel as to match the background better.
  6. That is what SM suggested, though now it's kinda blended in too well -_-Try an outerglow as well then?
  7. I vote for Truefusion. Brushing is more interesting and fits the render better than Johnny's, I reckon. Otherwise both are pretty good -_-Tied at 2:2
  8. I vote for Cision. Both sigs are pretty much render dominant, and in this case, Cision's one is more interesting in my opinion.Biscuit still up5:2
  9. Very original, and nice use of colour. As truefusion said, the right side doesn't really go with the left, due to its duller colour - have it bright the whole way through.

  11. Ok, gift, present, whatever: Everyone's made something for SM, and I thought I should join the bandwagon and get added on the list
  12. Actually, if you're looking for a specific effect - Good Tutorials is the place to start, as long as you know what you want. You should also be able to find some general tutorial sigs there too. What it's not good for is if you don't know what to do at all - and just want to go there and "learn" something.
  13. Like... totally I don't really think size is a problem, small tech sigs tend to be quite effective. This one isn't really a tech sig though, and it could do with either a bigger render or bigger text - it's just looking a tad bare, even with the feature in the middle. Haven't seen one from you for ages Damann...
  14. Congratulations to those who made it also! Hope to be working with you in the near future -_-Great to see you really got this off the ground Johnny.
  15. Yeah, the use of it in sigs is more of a slang term (just as how forum signatures have become associated with images rather than a "siganture" per se).Pretty much what everyone else said, in sigs, a render is an image of sorts which has been extracted from its original background, and is either on a signature or is ready to be simply moved on to one. It can include anything from people cut out in photos, cartoon characters or objects, or abstract 3D renders made in 3D modelling programs.
  16. Gunbound is basically a turn based 2D shooting game. The client download is 100 or something mb, and is free to play. Players join in any one of 12 servers, (2 beginner, 2 open, and a bunch of avatar on whatnots), and can play in a game of up to eight players. You choose out of a number of "Mobiles" which each have 3 different shot types - 1 (usually weaker shot), 2 (stronger shot), 3 (super shot, limited use) - each mobile is a specific type - machine, shield or animal/organic (?). Also available are powerups which you may choose before game - you are limited by your powerup slots, better powerups take more slots. Each move you do takes a certain "recovery" time which determines your turn order. If you shoot a weak shot, your turn will come back sooner than if you used a strong attack. There is a ranking system, where it goes from Hammer -> Axe -> Battle Axe -> Wand -> Dragon (each with its own subrank of colours/metals etc) - it doesn't really effect your gameplay but is more of a status symbol. Each time you hit an enemy in game with conditions (ie through wind/good damage), you gain gold, also if you win a game you get gold. This gold can be used to buy clothes, or avatars, for you character. These increase your character's stats in servers which are "Avatar On". Think that's a basic summary?
  17. Just the use of that render is freaking awesome :DI suppose, as everyone says the background is good, as is Homer, but they don't particuarly match. If you really wanted them to go together, you may have to put some more effects for where he's actually stepping out of the sig - some brushing to show the movement of stepping out of the sig (I dunno, ripples or light? ) - to disconnect the render from the sig more. Or even some sort of filter effect on the render to get it to match better?
  18. I vote Sprite2:5 (Sprite:Johnny)Whilst less work may have been done on the manip, it feels more complete. I think Johnny's one in this case is a little plain.
  19. Probably some of us hang out here too much, hence the large number of votes quickly :DAnyway, if you need some neutral mediator or whatever for whatnot, who isn't participating in the tournament, give me a yell
  20. 'Nother tough one, but I vote Johnny. 0:3I like Blaque's background brushing and blending of the render, but there's a lack of a border and the opacity bar isn't so great. Perhaps a little monotone as well.Johnny's background is pretty.. well standard - simple grunge (Gee Johnny, looks like a quick job to me ). The render isn't really blended either, but it's probably better than having it hue/saturated to match the background. Text is presentable enough. Overall, the sig feels more finished and presentable, which is why it got my vote.
  21. Add another to Sprite - 4:0As said by others, even though it's a simple manip, it's well presented, nice stock image, and has a clean finish.Aminzz's has an interesting background but the render is pixellated, the text is badly placed without effects (which are needed in this case). There's also a lack of a border. Sorry dude.
  22. Vote for bis. 3:1Bis' sig is simpler, and more unique. Snxter's has some nice background brushing, but it's not really anything new.
  23. Tough choice, but I'm voting for Nguyen/snil1:2I actually like Michael's bg and render choice better, but the text really lets it down, as well as the overly obvious opacity bar thing. Overall, because of that, Nguyen's is better in my eyes. Notice from Johnny: Fixed the score.
