  1. There is no problem with your SATA hard drive. Windows XP has the generic default drivers for the SATA drives. So the reason for your problem was not the SATA Drive but the Ghost. Based on what you've said, the Ghost has replaced the files in the MBR ( Master Boot Record) with its own files, and when you restarted the system, it should have completed the process and then restored the MBR back to the original. But since the Ghost failed during the startup those files weren't replaced, so you are not able to boot into your Windows Partition. All you've gotta do is to restore or reset the MBR. You should be very careful doing this or else your system will be completely inaccessible without reinstalling the OS.

  6. If you want to develop applications that are compatible with Windows Vista and Windows XP, you've got 2 Options. The First one is to get the Software Development Kit for Windows Vistaâ˘, The SDk for Windows Vista includes the .NET 3 Framework and the various api's needed. You also get a few samples with this download. Get and read more about this here The Second solution is to get Visual Studio Orcas, this is the next version of Visual Studio after VS 2005. Currently Visual Studio Orcas is in beta testing. This software has native support for Windows Vista interface and is also compatible with Windows XP. Get and read more about this here The Softwares created with both the solutions will support Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista.
  7. I've got Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition. The Installation of this package is also sismilar to the installation of VB.NET, but it has several tools along with VB.NET like C#.NET, J#.NET, VC++. It also includes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and MSDN for VS 2005.The Installation takes about 20 minutes in a system with modest configuration. The Entire Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition Package consumes 4GB of Hard disk for Installation. The Only draw back of the Visual Studio Express editions is that you cannot creat deployable final products of your projects created with it. It is good for learning how to program using the Visual Studio Package.

  14. Visual Basic is the easiest High Level programming language to understand and code. VBScript is based on the VB language, it include the functionality of VB but lacks in some core functions that deal with system internals.JavaScript is a powerful scripting language for client based scripting, it dosen't has more functionality than VBScript in serverside. VBScript lacks the client side scripting capability and lags behind Java Script in this regard.VBScript being a cropped version of Visual Basic can handle the various serverside components for ASP and access the Microsoft Component and provide more flexibilty than Javascript. So it is better to code ASP codes with VBScript rather than Javascript. But you can use javasript for handling client side operations like validation and VBScript for serverside processing.

  24. There is no solution for this problem with Turbo C++ IDE in Windows XP. You can get the latest version Turbo C++ 2006, for this link http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . It comes in Two packages one contains the prerequiesties (228MB) and the other contains the Program Files (398MB). I think that this is a trial version.
