  5. Windows "Vienna" is the next version of Windows following Windows Vista and soon to be released Windows Longhorn Server. The next client version of Windows was originally codenamed "Blackcomb," though the company renamed it to "Windows Vienna" in early 2006 and to "Windows Seven" or "Windows 7" more recently. Microsoft currently plans to ship Vienna in 2009, about two to two and a half years after Vista. The next major release of Windows is expected two years after Vienna, in 2011.Features: Microsoft hasn't publicly committed to any features for Vienna and the company is currently still deciding what this next Windows release will look like. We do know a few things about Vienna, however: It will include a new version of Windows Explorer that is being built by the same team that designed the Ribbon user interface in Office 2007. It will likely include some form of the "Hypervisor" (Windows Virtualization) technologies that will ship shortly after Windows Server "Longhorn". It will also likely include the WinFS (Windows Future Storage) technologies, though they won't be packaged or branded as WinFS.Bill Gates said in a tech conference that the next OS will be more web centric and will have more usability features.

  12. i think that Windows Vista is not so friendly with Linux.I installed Ubuntu in my PC that already has Windows XP Pro SP2 and Windows Vista installed in seperate partitions. The installation of Ubuntu was easy and smooth. There was no problem setting up GRUB, the boot loader for linux. But after that my system failed to boot, the Boot got corrupted as Windows Vista didnt allow the access to the boot files. so I had to remove Ubuntu and then reset the boot to get things back to normal. This is mostly bue to the incompatability of Vista boot loader with that of non-windows os loaders. But this may also be due to the non-support of Vista by GRUB.I was searching for a solution but could'nt find one

  15. Definitely Adobe Dreamweaver is the best Web Authouring available. But its price can keep most of the users away from it. For those who cannot afford Dreamweaver, the best Opensource editor is Nvu. The soon to be released version of Dreamweaver promises of more advanced features, hoping to get my hands on it
  16. thanks for the link fars I knew that this was possible but I didnt have the exact procedure to make the contents available offline. it tkes nearly 3 minutes to get a really close view of any place

  18. Google has recently deleted several Gmail accounts that are reported to be used for spamming. In the process of deleting these accounts, it has deleted several non-spamming accounts, I've read several people complaining in their blogs that they were not able to access their accounts. So get in touch with Google GMail Support team if any of the above said methods by other memebers dosent work for you.
  19. Here are my possible suggestions, If you are interested in any of the designs I'd love to work on it more. Transparent background, adapts according to BG Color Gives a carved out effect. these are just plain text effects, if you are interested. I'll add more effects to make this look more professional.
  20. If you want to run a application developed in VS.NET 2005 then you'll need .NET 2.0 and above installed in the system to run the application. If you want to run a application developed using .NET 3.0 then you've to have the .NET 3 framework installed in Windows XP or Windows 2003 systems. You can also run them in Windows Vista. The .NET framework is backward compatible, i.e. you can use a function used in .NET 1 in 2 or you can compile and run a program developed in .NET 1 in system with .NET 2 and .NET 3. Like wise you can also run programs developed in .NET 2 in system with .NET 3. This is called as Backward compatibility, i.e. support for previous versions. Where as you cannot run a program developed in .NET 2 in a system with .NET 1 or a program developed in .NET 3 in a system with . NET 2. Hope this will clear your doubts and solve your problems.
  21. You can easily convert Wordpress into a CMS to manage simple websites, if you are an expert you can even create a portal based on Wordpress. If you want a normal website based on Wordpress as CMS, you have to create a new Theme for Wordpress that will meet your needs and you can use the posts and pages in wordpress for contents in your website. You can also categorize them. If you want to what can be accomplished with Wordpress, just head over to my site http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . This is a open source and free software directory running on Wordpress with a custom designed Theme. You can add extra features to you Wordpress site like Polls, stats, Adsense, tagging etc. with a huge collection of plugins available online. To begin with a new theme for wordpress, you can start by modifying the default Kubric theme of Wordpress. It is better to head over to the Wordpress Codex, https://codex.wordpress.org/ and learn the basic tags and formats of Wordpress queries and functions. Test the theme you develop in Wordpress installed in your local machine using EasyPHP or WAMP. If need any help I'd be glad to help you. Currently I'm developing a Wordpress Site for my professional website, it will be up within 2 weeks.
  22. I love Cats. They are cute little friends.Dogs stick to us because of their faithfulness. Whereas Cats stick to us because of Love and trust. Getting the trust of a cat is not an easy job, especially if it is big. You can befrend a dog easiely either by giving it something it likes to eat or treating it well, but this is impossible to acheive with a cat. Cats wont come near you or eat what you give to them if they don't trust you. So if you want a real lovable pet go for a cat.Once you get the trust of a cat then they will always stay with you and show their love to you. Just like Smack said, the cats bring in their hunt to the home, because of love and loyality. Whereas you cannot expect this from a dog.At all times you can trust a cat, but not a dog. I've heared of loyal dogs going crazy or biting their owner, but whereas cats do not go crazy, nor do they bite. They do bite whey play, but it is no serious.Cats can learn things easily and they are highly intelligent than dogs.
