Mich replied to MIGUE2k7's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I have dial-up with an accelerator program and it took about 20 seconds to load. Not really that bad. -

Both these sigs are done very well. I prefer Avalon's because I like the color scheme best and the render blends into the background a little more smoothly than Kubi's.

Maybe when you have worked hard for 45 years to pay for the property you have, you will feel differently. I don't know where you have gathered your information, but I can tell you that MOST of the senior citizens today in the USA are NOT rich. They are barely getting by with their social security income, a tax that was taken out of their earnings to be set aside for them in retirement. These monies have proven to be sorely insufficient to support anybody because of the rate of inflation over the years. Yet if they work to suppliment their social security benefits, not only do they pay income tax and have more social security taxes taken on their earnings, their social security benefits are also taxed. Hmm, taxes on taxes. I thought this was illegal. From my point of view, anybody under 18 has had a free ride on their parents' shirt tails. Those between 18 and 65 must EARN their discounts the same way the retirees have. Work hard and you too will be rewarded in your old age.

And so you did. Very cleverly blended. I did miss it, but it is obvious now that you bring it to my attention. Thanks again. I haven't gotten around to adding it to my rotation yet; but will really soon.

Hurray! The August bill came with no further charges showing. We are now back to our normal monthly charges. That's another one for us.Thanks everybody for the input about the large corporations. Found the reading very interesting at that. Somehow we just keep plodding along against these multimillionaire bullies. If you don't stand up for yourself, they will just walk all over you.

What can I say AgentB. This is beautiful. Just love the colors. Blending is really cool as well. And the text so cleverly done. THANX!!!

Disproving Mormonism A few facts that disprove the mormon faith
Mich replied to Prox's topic in General Discussion
Just who produced this video? I would be interested in obtaining a copy. My understanding of the BOM, and I quote from its title, is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The BOM does not vs. the Bible. Where did you gather this information; source please? How many translations and interpretations of the bible have there been printed since the original? Certainly you don't presume that no mistakes were made and/or corrected, ever in the history of bible printing. After all, interpretations are indeed corrections of the printed word to fit the writer's beliefs, are they not? I found an interesting article right here on Xisto about Mormonism. Although this post questions their historic background, the article I found speaks of their beliefs. I think rather than be caught up with details about whether their historic claims are factual or not, the more important factor is what they teach and practice morally. Your Desktop Area Snap some pics and post em
Mich replied to MaineFishing45's topic in General Discussion
Wow, that is unreal. So neat and orderly. My desk looks like a tornado just went through. Maybe you used the "Easy Button" to clean things up for the pic. Anyway, I would be embarassed to show a pic of my work area. There are too many note papers, books, CDs, folders, pencil/pen holder packed to the brim, index cards, clock, pictures, printer paper stock, printers, scanner, speakers, zip drive, and, oh yes, a puter with 17 inch monitor, mouse and keyboard somewhere among all this other stuff. -
I grabbed a tutorial I found on the internet on how to make user bars in Paint Shop Pro. Took me a few hours to get it down, but the tutorial is a good one. Paint Shop Pro User Bar Tutorial And thanx for the compliment.

Is it truely safe to remove all files and sub-folders in the Windows/Temp folder? I am not extremely computer literate and have hesitated to do this. I don't have any problem with deleting files with the .tmp suffix and all the files in the temporary internet folder; but I have been afraid of deleting things from the Windows/Temp folder.

I can't get there from this link. I get a Not Found message. I can get to Xisto - Web Hosting.com though. Is the color scheme the same? -
