  1. You don't tell us how old you are so I will guess you are at teen dating teen girls. Unfortunately, YES, most girls in their teens are very shallow. It just the nature of the female in that age bracket. As they get older, they grow to realize that the superficial stuff is not all that important. In the mean time the guys who aren't handsome jocks lose out. It does seem odd that you are able to get girls to go out with you initially and then nothing. And, you may be trying too hard, as you have suggested. Nervousness doesn't bring out the best in people. Girls will usually be talkative if you give them a chance. Perhaps you are talking too much. The key may be to try and relax more on your dates and don't be in such a hurry to initiate affection such as putting your arm around her in the movie. Maybe just take her hand while walking. Save the arm around her for the 2nd date.

    Hey!

Very nice job Erin. Now that is what I call a proper intro. You sound like an interesting person. Glad you are got hosting here. Have you got your site up yet? If so, where, so we can take a look. Hosting here is very reliable and everybody in this forum is helpful and friendly. Keep up the informative posts.
  3. My vote goes to Bkag. Pretty nice for a beginner. I recognize the subject matter and the text is clean and concise.
  4. Google It (this is a link) There is a lot of information on the internet about this subject. And the appropiate term is Down Syndrome.
  5. These sets are meant for the not-so-knowledgeable person who wants to build a web site of their own. There is a larger need for simple designs than I think you recognize. Those knowledgeable enough to recognize these templates as simple, would also be knowledgeable enough to design their own. But perhaps might like some of the graphics that are offered, or at least use them as examples of things they could create for themselves.
  6. Boo, Hoo. So sorry to see you leaving us. Enjoyed reading some of your posts while it lasted. Hope you find yourself unbusy enough to check back now and again. Good Luck in your endeavors. Very cleavor, bunlytek.
  7. And the eldest SOTW competitor raisers her hand to be heard. Anyone on here can vouch that I am not out to bash anybody; so here goes. I appreciate that there are occasions when graphics are needed for the sight, speaking proudly as the winner of the Xisto - Web Hosting SOTW and appreciating greatly the honor of its use on this site. I do, however, feel that this should have been a separate contest. There are many more skilled graphic illustrators on this forum than I, who just aren't into such things as animation, text renders and plain simple renders that don't require much manipulation or artistic ability. When I look at the Showoff section, I am amazed at some of the creativity used with effects, renders, blendings, colors, uses of brushes and layering. I feel that many of these would be entered in the SOTW contests if there hadn't been a departure from its original intent. It seems that after a while we kind of run out of ideas for new themes. I don't have a quick solution to this problem on a continuing basis, but how about starting with the alphabet? Perhaps we could make the theme be any subject matter that can be construed to be associated with each letter, in order or not. The competitors should have to explain what the connection is when they submit their entry. This could be as simple as A is for A---whatever. With all the sigs in Showoff, I am sure some people wouln't even have to create new sigs as long as they hadn't entered them in a previous contest. This challenge could possibly take up the next 26 weeks, and get us started up again. I feel that the SOTW contest should be just that, a sig competition. If one of the staff could teach me how to run the SOTW, I would be happy to oblige, if it would help things out. I could manage this with a little help during my times away from the forum, as I do travel and only work from a desktop puter at my home.

  13. Somebody I didn't know, who just happens to be attending the same high school I went to. If you read the third reply, maybe you can figure out who it is.
  14. Have you ever experienced a coincidence that made you realize what a small world this can be? If you have let us know. Here are a couple of mine. I was working in a small hospital in Onekama, Michigan and knew a doctor there from a near-by smaller town, Bear Lake. This doctor went out to Las Vegas. While he was gambling at a slot machine he struck up a conversation with a man at the slot next to his. They exchanged the information that the doctor was from Michigan and the other man from Califronia. The other man asked the doctor where he was from in Michigan since he had a daughter living there. The doctor told him where he lived and the man asked if that town was anywhere near the town his daughter lived in. "Yes, answered the doctor, who is your daughter?" Guess what folks, it was my father using the slot next to the doctor. Was I ever surprised when the doctor got back from his trip and looked me up to tell me that he had talked to my father in Las Vegas. I could hardly believe it. What a coincidence that they would run into each other in a town of that size, having never met before. Another one happened right here on Trap 17. I noticed a member was from the same area in California that I was originally from. Asked the member a little more about things and found that he attends the same High School that I attended. Me in Michigan and he in California, with all the millions of sites and forums on the iternet, we ran across each other right here on Trap 17.

  18. Happy Thanksgiving! to those who celebrate. We did so by going to our daughter's for roast turkey, deep fried turkey and all the trimmings. We are Thankful to be Alive and healthy enough to enjoy it. What more is there?

  20. I agree, but don't make them white. Pick another light color. Looks good otherwise. Congrats on getting your site up.
  21. Went there, did that, didn't work. But thanks for the answer. Something in between them and the file is getting in the way somehow then, right? To check the zip files they are trying to download, I go directly to my site, download the zip and the file is OK.
  22. I have now received 2 e-mails from people stating that the zip files they downloaded from my site are corrupt. I have had to mail them to get them through. I can download the zips from my site just fine and so have most others. Does anybody have any idea what can be causing this? Do some IPS have some kind of protection (like a firewall) in place that can cause this? I am befuddled.
  23. New developement on this folks. I received my latest statement from National City and it shows that the check I hand wrote to MBNA for my recent payment was converted to an electronic transfer. This means, National City allowed MBNA to dip into my account (using the account information on the bottom of the check) and take the money from my account without processing the actual check I wrote them. How is this? National City won't make an electronic transfer from my account to MBNA initiated by me, but they let MBNA initiate it. What protection is this? Now MBNA can jump into my account and take out whatever they want without processing the check and I have no proof of what amount I actually paid them. Somebody at MBN's end could make a huge mistake with a decimal point and I would spend months trying to get back my money. I am closing my account with National City as soon as I possibly can.
