  1. Who knows, as webhosting tends to be a male dominated thing, some women and girls are also into it as well. There may be more girls on here than many of us think, but they dont tend to tell much about themselves when they post on this forum.
  2. Yeah, it seems that the recent Burning crusade expansion has got the old gamers (that has abandoned their lv 60 druid, priest, etc).. back into the game and trying to get their characters up to lv 70. Still Id have to say its pretty addictive, but usually play it as a time filler (normally 2 hours late, then work the next day).. Sometimes even on Sundays.
  3. Humans aren't perfect.. well neither are animals either. All living things are bound to make mistakes at some point, no matter if someone proclaims to be perfect as such. But as the others said, the fact that Humans have intelligence to describe ourselves and our feelings/emotions more in a meaningful deep way than the others. But one thing that bothers living beings is cannabilism.. eg as the others said.. animals eating each other, and humans eating meat, etc.. Who knows whether if the animal feels guilty after killing another to eat.
  4. Some of the battlegrounds are easily accessable through Darnassus (Night elf territory) on the Alliance side pretty much most of the time. Although in other alliance cities the battleground masters/sentinels/emissionaries rotates around. But usually at the actual entrance to the battlegrounds, there are normally 2 entrances (one in Alliance territory, the other in Horde territory) and/or both entrances somewhere in 'contested' territory (eg Ashenvale). PVP players would get what I mean by contested.

    Area 51

As others said, aliens may not be real, but its a place to test technologically advanced systems/weapons and the like. Of course, there is always the dicussion of stealth planes, things going invisible to radars and the like.
  6. Down here in Australia, languages are electives at particular educational institutions starting from early high school, through some TAFE instititutes and most unis. I chose not to take a course at uni, although I had taken a bit of French and Japanese over time in high school. I just barely scrapped by during the time I took those courses, but if you arent gonna use later during your working career, etc.. then theres chances that you'd forget many parts of it later down the track.
  7. WoW has the option of either playing on PvP servers or just PvE servers. PvP servers also has the usual quests, etc while at the same time you gotta look out for opposing players from the other sides. There are friendly zones, so you're safe when you're in your sides capital city, but when crossing into a contested zone or opposing capital city, then the flag comes up, and then opposing players can either hit ya (regardless of level).Either way though, you can still play PvP on a PvE server, (either through a battleground stage or just in the normal world) but its up to the players choice.. it can be turned off again, but the player has to wait 5 mins (without doing a PvP like action) before its officially off.
  8. Yes it does seem that America has had good presidents like Lincoln, Roosevelt, Jeffersen, Einshnhower (sp) to name a few. Bush Jnr wouldnt be counted among the lot (Iraq being one of the reasons). The 2-term limit for being president is a good thing, although I had read rumours about Bush trying to change it etc (dunno if its true or not, but I'd imagine Iraq being one of the reasons)
  9. Yeah, it seems that pets that get sick while in the shelter has no option but to be let down, but still the shelter at least gives pet lookers some options before choosing a cat, a dog, bird, or whatever pet they are looking for.
  10. They would be some kind of UN intervention involved if this happens. But I'd have to agree about America (which has the most powerful weapons, etc and other things) getting throwing a tanty when some other nation seems to have something that they dont.

    Area 51

A bit like the Bermuda Triangle, but there has been stories on Area 51 before from Alien spacecraft, to new technology being born out of there. Considering many movies have had Area 51 in parts or as part of a story line, who knows. Even computer games (eg the Xbox Area 51) has been released based on it.
  12. Good to see ya still planning to stick around to be a active member of this community. Anyway, good luck with your new host and your site ahead.
  13. A small jet (well not at the type of private business class), but fast enough and has the range to go interstate would be a ideal in my opinion. But getting back, I may not know much about private small planes.. but Cessna are pretty good small plane makers.
  14. Well in some positive ways.. the likes of Ponting, Hussey, Lee and Clark are already in their early 30s, so in about 4-5 years time if that group are still around.. they'll be facing the "dads army" tag by then. But as for the remaining 'army' members Gilchrist and Hayden, theyd have a fair bit of responsibilty to guide the younger players around, supported by the players (in their early 30s ie Hussey, Ponting, etc) at the peak of their careers.
  15. God.. well is god, depending on how you look at it. Well there are many other differing views..ie the monkeys and the scientology view on things, but lets not go there. A father figure like God gives something for the people to look up to, something to blame when things goes wrong, someone to turn to in a time of crisis and so forth. Of course there are the nutters (well virtually all religions have their outspoken people), but the majority of people in most religions would be pretty nice people.
  16. I'd probably slightly modify the skin to your own preferences and colour if you want to be a bit more creative! Otherwise, not a bad site thus far.
  17. Its on not too soon on the Nine Network down under in Aust. Many are planning to watch it, considering the events surrounding it, but personally i'll probably try to look at the good side of things.
  18. Yeah, family is another thing about christmas, whether if its a big gathering, or just the close family. We just had the household for christmas in 2006 (even though the gathering up on the coast was meant to be this year), but the extended family all came up here last year (and lead to a rather crowded house, and people stacking up in bedrooms and living rooms ).
  19. I dont play it as much due to work, part time study, socialising and other things. But still, I'll agree that WoW is pretty addictive, even when playing it late at night before heading to bed (and getting up for work the next morning).
  20. Also, keep in mind if its a large purchase that the card holder plans to pay off (through a financial plan or whatever), and stuggles down the track later because of other unexpected financial burdens (ie accident, or something needing replacing, and so forth). The holder would likely end up paying more than what they plan to pay it for.
  21. If its more gentler and strategic, then woodball. But I'm used to playing paintball and find it more easier for me. Although I'll admit that sniping in woodsball is fairly good.
  22. The Iraq situation most likely has split America in regard to views on whether the US government should've invaded the place considering the reports that the UN hasnt sanctioned the move. In one viewpoint, it could've made the US and their allies more of a target rather than improving security, and lets not forget that the view of Bush has changed since 9/11.. it was Osama Bin Ladin after 9/11.. only to change to Iraq some months later.

    My Pc Sucks

Personally I think a new motherboard with the existing HD might do, but other parts would probably need to be checked before seeing what needs replacing.
  24. Some slight indirect effects overseas considering the Singapore-owned optus in Australia had their broadband connections slowed slightly as a result. It has since been fixed.
  25. And to think I thought this discussion was about a water-powered vaccuum cleaner lol.. and theres the debate about natural gas powered v diesel powered Public Transport buses elsewhere on the internet.Getting back on topic, the others have already covered it, but still water gets sucked up by air/condensation/etc eventually.
